My experience with Abacus life was extremely disappointing. I spoke to Jackson and we proceeded with the application to sell my policy. After this, all communication ceased. I received no confirmation that he even received my application. I had to call him and ask if he received it. I sent it by a prepaid envelope from FedEx that was sent to me by Jackson. I gave it 2 weeks and no response from Abacus. I finally decided to call. Yes, he received it. He would let me know when he heard anything. Never heard a word. I called him again a few weeks later and I was told I should hear something within the next week. I waited another 3 weeks and heard nothing. Finally called him again and I actually got a text message from him telling me that Abacus would not buy my policy. No explanation as to why I was turned down. I can't believe he left me a text message. Obviously poor customer service. I would love to know why I was turned down but I will not call again. They do not deserve an A+ rating based on my experience.

Denise and Janine were great to work with. They were very attentive to detail as we worked through the process. Any time I needed to speak with either of them related to questions about where we were in the process of Abacus purchasing our insurance policy, they were quick to answer the phone, or return my call promptly. Now that the process is completed and payment has been received, Janine remains available for any additional questions I might have. I can easily recommend the services provided by Abacus.

I had a $100,000 term life insurance policy lapse because premiums were going to increase and Abacus offered NOTHING because they want you to be, literally, on death's door. These companies only make money if they give a small amount (short period of premiums) and then cash in on the large insurance payout.. DUH... so if you're in reasonably good health...good luck!

Both my initial contact : Chriss and closing person Janine Allen were awesome.Their explanation of the process and responses to my questions were both timely and helpful.
The payout was better than their competitors.

Very poor process. They failed to meet their scheduled phone appointment with me twice.
