Had work done by Absolute drainage about 12 mths ago. A very polite young man came sorry can’t remember your name, He showed me through a camera where my problems were, they inserted something along the pipe work so I didn’t have to dig the whole yard up.
Every thing has been running smoothly thank you Absolute drainage.

From the initial contact to the completion of the works, everything was carried out professionally with excellent communication throughout. Martin who carried out the works was excellent and the works were kept to minimum disruption.Would highly recommend this company.

This happened in May 2026; it has taken me until now (October) to find the words to describe what happened. It's a saga.
The original issue was a blocked drain in the yard, an old Victorian terrace. The drain wasn't draining; on investigation by Nathan (who I have seen mentioned in other reviews and is an exemplary chap), it wasn't just blocked but had a large crack in the original gully from 1902.
The job escalated from a blockage to gully replacement. More money, from around £250 up to £1000. It had to be done as there wasn't anything draining away from my property. Gully removal revealed an even bigger more expensive issue, the crack had been leaking for decades and my entire 9x5m yard needed digging up, the waste removing and concrete putting back. A big job, one that made me nervous. This happened over two days with different people each time. The men who attended up to this point were professional and courteous. They had removed the old gully and left a gaping hole in my yard ready for the next stage.
The big job was scheduled for Wednesday, supposed to arrive at 11. They didn't come. By 1 pm, I needed to know what was happening, so I called the office, and they just said maybe tomorrow. I had taken the day off work, and they didn't have the decency to tell me what was happening. Then they moved it to Friday, and I had no choice but to accept, but I couldn't get another day off.
Now I wish I had asked them to reschedule so I could be there when the work took place.
I came home on Friday, it looked neat and tidy on the surface BUT, there was a gaping hole in the back of my house where the bricks should have been.
From what I could make out, it seemed like they had used a digger to remove the old yard and swiped the back of my house in the process.
The missing bricks were at the base of the rear wall where the kitchen outlet comes from. My kitchen worktops had all dropped by about 5mm; there was a crack in the bathroom ceiling above the kitchen; the missing bricks created a cavity large enough for mice and rats to get in, and the damp-proof course was rendered void due to exposure.
As a side note, they left the alley outside my property in an absolute state. Lots of materials left everywhere.
I waited until Monday morning to get in touch as there wasn't anyone in the office over the weekend.
I called to ask if my house was finished, and to my surprise, they said yes!!! I said it definitely wasn't, and they need to send someone to sort it out; they responded by saying an engineer will be in touch. THAT WAS IT, all the customer service they could muster.
I live very near to their office, so I decided to ask them face to face. I went to the office to their surprise and got to speak to a senior engineer. I was going to show him pictures of the awful effort, but he showed me his first. I pointed out that in one photo the bricks were fine, but in the very next photo they were different, and asked if he could explain why. He couldn't and insisted there would be someone around to fix it asap.
Also, on closer inspection, the drains that had been installed were so badly done that they were underneath the line of external bricks; the drain was nearly underneath the house!!!
So, another day later, two different guys turned up to fix the first fix. This did NOT go well. They pulled up the drains that had been installed but couldn't get the new ones in as they wouldn't fit due to terrible installation, so they decided to cut the drain a little so it would fit!!!! THEY CUT THE DRAIN PIPE TO FIT, thus rendering it not a drain anymore but a bit of plastic.
I asked them to fix the bricks too, which they didn't like and huffed and puffed about not being their job, etc. They did an appalling job that was akin to a toddler playing with mud. They eventually left, and I was exhausted and angry. They still didn't tidy up.
What followed was me refusing to hand over any money until the bricks were fixed. The 'boss' Carl got in touch personally and tried to reassure me that they were doing what they could, blah blah blah. Money is the only thing that will force this company to do anything.
Another two days later, Carl sent his 'best' men to fix the fix of the fix, except he didn't, and the same two men, Botchit & Scarper, were sent to fix the fix they tried to fix but didn't. My heart sank when I saw it was them and i called Carl to see what the hell was going on. After a lot of very bad attitude from one of the men, I had to demand they stop whatever they were doing and leave. I refused again to pay until it was fixed. Two more days later, a solo worker in the form of Sakhi arrived in the pouring rain and set about restoring order. He was there alone without any chat or moaning for 5 hours and fixed the brickwork and replaced the drain for a third time after botchit had done his thing. No mess no fuss.
Beware: if your issue involves residential property, they don't care.

Nathan was polite friendly and respectful.He assessed the problem and resolved it.Showed me how clear it was through camera evidence and physically seeing the water run through.
He left everything tidy and left a very happy customer.

A truly professional service end-to-end. The initial contact with Natalie MCcann was super efficient, calming and instantly built rapport. I called other similar services before speaking to Natalie and the team and the initial contact with Absolute Drainage was superior to competitors - consultative and not salesy. The diagnosis of the drainage issue was very expert, professional equipment used and a professional, hardworking team. It was a nice touch to speak to Carl at the end of the job and personally commend his team. A great company and I strongly recommend Carl and the team.

Really friendly , polite and knowledgeable guys. The work completed was satisfactory. The site was left clean and tidy on completion. The most important part is being left with peace of mind knowing of a job well done.

Absolute drainage did a great job for us. They were prompt and professional and returned when things were not quite right. They answered any questions and were very polite. No problem with their workmanship. Work was done about 6 months ago.

The team there have always been great to deal with. They have always respond quickly and out of hours. I have used them quite a few times and for different problems I have had with the drains and they have done a great job every time. For me I just need people I can trust and will act quickly and the team there have always done that. One call was New Years Eve and I had someone at the house within hours and fixed within 30 mins. You cant ask for more.

I am very happy with the service provided of unblocking the main drain in my backyard (the manhole) I didn't wait too long from the phone call to book the work until the engineer came to do it, the engineer was a very nice man and I would highly recommend this company Absolute Drainage to my family and friends. Also I was very happy with the cost.

On Saturday the 26th of September at five o’clock, I called Absolute Drainage to use thier services & repair the men’s toilets at Raglan Road Irish Bar, one of the busiest bars in Nottingham. They promised to arrive within ninety minutes. Two hours later I rang again — same promise. At ten o’clock, on my third call, nobody had turned up. The toilets were leaking, with urine coming down the walls onto customers. The bar was packed, and I had to close the business, losing thousands of pounds.
They eventually came at eight the next morning. The repair took approximately five minutes. They charged me two hundred and eighty pounds. I have all the text messages, replies, and documents from this company.
I tried to trace their phone number — it does not show as registered to the company. The mobile emergency number is also not connected to the company. There is something seriously wrong with this, as they are running a 24-hour call-out plumbing service. Do not use.

Phoned absolute drainage and the person was polite and able to provide a price. They arrived during agreed time slot and resolved the issue. Excellent job, thank you

My dad 94 woke up to problems with his toilet back filling when flushing. Although a Sunday when he phoned Absolute Drainage they said they would be able to visit him that day
The technician was really great, he identified the problem quickly and cleared the external blockage. We were very impressed that the van had suction storage to take everything away, a camera was used to assess the condition of the drains and a range of ongoing solutions were offered to reduce the risk of build up again. As dad lives by him self is 94 and has had no other problems in 30+ years living in his bungalow he decided to pay the basic package of £284 which we felt was very reasonably priced for the service he received clearing the problem and on a Sunday too! There was no pushiness to go for the more expensive solution.
We were kept upto date with arrival time etc by phone as dad was the last call and getting towards late afternoon which was reassuring for him. Would not hesitate to recommend or use again in the future. Thank you

Guys arrived on site, assessed what needed to be done and proceeded with what needed to be done. Copmleted works and left site safe and clean.

You came very quickly after I posted my request. The guy soon discovered what was wrong and cleared my drains. he also figured out that part of the poblem was the tree roots nearby causing an obstruction underground. We agreed I would contact you again after Xmas to get this sorted.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. We had an emergency late at night and were really impressed with how quickly and professionally everything was dealt with.

The team on the phones were so helpful and reassuring, and the guys who came out were friendly, professional and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They quickly found the problem, explained everything and got it sorted.
