I had lvl3 survey on other house with SDL and overall I was happy with them but diced to choose Allcot with this property. They are much better. They give what they promised,detailed report with so many pictures. Also they included how much the repair costs. ( SDL promised the same but never happened). Also on the day of inspection the surveyor (Paul) called me and explained to me what he found (obviously just a short version,m. With SDL no one called me or gave me the surveyor details ). That was on Monday afternoon and I got my full report 3 days later. Also Paul offered me after I got my report I can call him if I need to.
Only bad side I had to wait 17 days from booking to the inspection carried out but we had time so waiting wasn’t an issue. With SDL they did the inspection in 7 days but I had to ring them 2 weeks later to ask my report.
I really recommend them to anyone as worth to ask.
I’m sure much more people use them before kitty they didn’t write review,so don’t be afraid to use them.

Allcots were great, Judy summers in the office was very responsive and helpful when it came to booking in the survey.

Our surveyor Paul Barret produced an excellent report, we had a L3 survey done which was 90 pages long, ultra detailed with pictures for each point raised. I then arranged a call with Paul to speak over some of the issues raised, Paul was extremely helpful and answered all our questions in great detail.

I'd 100% reccomend Allcots to anyone.

I'm so happy I chose them. Office staff replied to my emails in 1-2 hours. Sometimes it was like instant messaging. Surveyor replied in the same day or the next day as they don't have access to emails all the time. Their valuation was reasonable as they considered the report, past parable data, housing market and they know the area extremely well. I've already gone to them for the 2nd Level-3 survey I needed.

Allcott did the plans for removing a load bearing wall - their reports are very detailed and they answered all follow up questions in good time.

Allcott were able to find an earlier date and pull their survey forward by a week which really helps move the house chain along! The quality of the survey was also very high standard.

I found Allcott Associates online as I needed beam calculations. It was easy to use the instant quote option, and the price quoted was fair.
It was a little difficult booking the survey in the beginning as we were told our area wasn't covered, which wasn't made clear on the website as we inputted our postcode.
Eventually it turned out we could have a survey as one of the surveyors was in the area, which may have just been luck.
All went smoothly, the surveyor arrived on time and our calcs arrived the next day.
The beam is now in place and signed off.
I would certainly try to use Allcott Associates again in the future.

I had some difficulties with tenants in situ and Allcott were really accommodating and understanding when this led to short-notice re-arrangements.

Very quick services, in about a week from calling I had the engineer booked in to see the work proposed and 24 hrs later he sent the report. He also took care of posting a letter that our freeholder required. Happy with the service and I will call them again in the future

Surveyor turned up on time and on the right date. explained exactly what he was going to do.
On completion of his survey of the property. And when he explained some of his findings. I was asked if you wanted him to explain any of the findings that I wasn’t quite sure about.

The service was delivered as expected and the timelines were maintained. The quality of the report was good and it was useful.

Booking a slot for the surveyor was as simple as picking up the phone and talking to the very helpful and pleasant staff. Once done I received confirmation of the date of the survey and a reminder that I would need to pay before it was carried out.
The day following the survey I rang and asked if it was possible to have a quick call with the surveyor as I needed to know if they had picked up anything major. I knew that the report would arrive in 3-5 days, but had to make a decision on a completion date.
Once again the office staff were brilliant and got in touch with the surveyor. However, he didn't call, he sent me the full 75-page report in the afternoon! I was astonished and more than impressed. The report was complete with photos and work costs and covered everything I needed to make an informed decision.
By far the best surveyor we have ever used and coupled with the speed of delivery you just couldn't ask for better.

The survey was fine. However, there were one of two queries that I had regarding some technical aspects of it. I therefore contacted the surveyor. We arranged a time to discuss the survey and he could not have been ruder to me. Condescending, and extremely unhelpful. Working in the service industry myself, I would not dream of speaking to one of my clients in such a manner. Will not be using them again. They seemingly are happy to take the money for the survey but do not want to know afterwards.

I was a little hesitant in employing Allcott Associates as you don't get to choose your surveyor, since each one covers a different catchment area. However, I needn't have worried as ours did an excellent job in surveying the 2-bedroom retirement property we were hoping to buy in Reading. She identified problems that needed immediate attention, including a carpet moth infestation and high damp readings in the kitchen wall due to a leak in the adjoining bathroom. We are so very grateful to her for spotting these issues! In addition, her report was very thorough, and it contained great photos and excellent advice.

Reasonable price. Quick completion. Great detail.
