Can't even get my details right…
Can't even get my details right regarding an offer, believing I am 18 years old when provided an ID proving I am older by over a year and when initially given an offer, ignoring time frames I had given for worktime availability where it would clash with university studies.
What an absolute joke of a company
What an absolute joke of a company, totally incompetent, but what do you expect from a bussiness employed by royal mail.
The onboarding is absolute garbage, the customer support is literraly just a clueless employee who I think is on work experience, or was just a random person who hapoened to puck the phone up, it was embarrasing how little they new about anything.
Im suprised this agency manages to hire anyone!! It might actualky be run by AI!
I have written to the post office and Indeed and have saved everything.
I am very concerned this company has my personal details and will be seeking legal advice
Unacceptable delay in providing my P45
Unacceptable delay in providing my P45
I left Angard on 27 May 2026 and, nearly four months later, I am still waiting for my P45. Having to chase basic leaving documentation for this long is unacceptable.
I am also dealing with increased tax deductions while HMRC’s records have included Angard among my employments. I cannot confirm how much of the tax issue is caused by Angard’s reporting, but the missing P45 has made resolving matters more difficult.
I have now submitted a formal complaint requesting my P45 and confirmation that my leaving details were correctly reported to HMRC.
Based on my experience, the handling of my departure has been extremely disappointing. Former employees should not have to make formal complaints to obtain essential payroll documents. I will update this review when the matter is resolved.
Terrible agency to apply for
Terrible agency to apply for. Applied for a delivery driver position at Royal Mail back in the start of July. Chased them up two weeks later to be told that they’re still sorting through the application process at it takes seven weeks in total. Fast forward now to mid September and i’ve chased again to get an update, all to be told that the position was filled and that an organisation like angard staffing do not have the resources to send response emails to candidates. Not only does it highlight even more how dire the current job market is but these businesses are becoming more lazy.
Poor Communication, Favouritism, Lack of empathy, Zero training.
I had a very disappointing experience with Angard Staffing and the Royal Mail depot I was assigned to.
From the beginning, the training was extremely poor. After only a two-day shadowing period, I was effectively thrown in at the deep end with very little guidance. I wasn’t properly shown how to use the handheld electronic device, which regularly failed and lost my routes. On multiple occasions I had to return to the depot, rescan every parcel, and start again, costing valuable time that was completely outside of my control. I wasn’t set up with an account to log back into if the device ever failed which resulted in me consistently needing to contact the manager who would never answer. So there I was - abandoned on routes with nobody to contact. The Manager was barely in for 2 hours a day the entire time I was there.
There were many foreign workers applying for a parcel sorting role, and was instead assigned to delivery driving despite not having licenses. I confirmed this because I started on the same day as a few other workers who were forced to pair in twos with other employees when they went out for delivery.
I was expected to work alone delivering around 200–250 parcels a day with minimal support. I consistently arrived early to scan my parcels and organise my routes so I could get out on time, but that effort was never appreciated. At the same time, I observed unlicensed workers being paired with licensed drivers to carry out deliveries, while I was expected to manage an entire route on my own. The vans are also on their last legs and often break down. Three vans broke down within the first three days of working there and they’re a complete safety hazard.
The worst part was how I was treated when my personal circumstances changed. My mum had been diagnosed with cancer, and my family was going through an incredibly difficult time. I needed to stop working weekends so I could help care for her, despite already working five weekdays - the availability I had originally applied for. I explained this privately and in confidence to the Royal Mail manager at my assigned depot.
The very next day, after arriving early for work as usual, I was called into the office and told I was being let go because, after hearing about my situation, they felt I was “a bit of a liability” and were looking for people who could work six days a week. This was despite the fact I wasn’t contracted to weekends and had specifically applied for weekday work. Angard allows you to pick your days. It was during the christmas period, so I didn’t struggle for shifts. They had more than enough workers to accomodate those weekends as well, but they didn’t care. You would think a manager who had a broken leg at the time, would have more empathy for someone going through terminal illness.
Afterwards, Angard Staffing told me they would place me at another depot. This never happened and my calls were ignored. Over a year later, that has still never happened. It’s extremely difficult to get hold of anyone because the phone lines are rarely answered, and despite repeatedly asking to be removed from their system, I still received messages offering shifts at the very depot that dismissed me. Only recently my account has been deactivated due to inactivity.
Overall, I felt unsupported from the start, inadequately trained, and ultimately dismissed because of circumstances completely outside my control. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Angard Staffing. The depot I was assigned to was highly exploitative, full of hard working staff that are very under appreciated. I cannot recommend it.
An absolutely disgusting company
An absolutely disgusting company, ran by either dodgy or truly incapable people(pretty sure it's both). Late with pay, you have to chase them for that, others get 30 hours and brag how their friends with Angard give them more hours ,other left blowing in the wind.
useless hires more people than needed makes you get hardly any work
Totally useless overhires for royal mail so staff fight for shift on a zero hour contract got fed up and quit and finally received my p45 21 months after leaving
Not good
Very poor communication and lack of professionalism in email exchanges. Multiple times they lost my passport photo and national insurance number and had to ask for it again, even attempted to gaslight me by saying I had never sent them in the first place. The process took so long that I found and started another job in the time it took them to respond.
DO NOT WORK FOR ANGARD
DO NOT WORK FOR ANGARD
Only been with them for 2 months and have had many days worked not been paid. Had to chase up with them to eventually get the money owed. Currently I am owed 2 days worked and 1 holiday day from last week, that is 60% of my week's wages missing.
Favouritism no other word..Some staff…
Favouritism no other word..Some staff working 60 hours a week ,others struggling to work 1 day a week..Its who you know I'm afraid
Borderline recruitment scam
Borderline recruitment scam. I regret giving them any of my personal information. Please do not waste your time.
As slow as a turtler
The slow hiring at Angard is a major problem because it puts their need for a "backup list" of workers ahead of their need to pay bills. By leaving you hanging, the agency keeps a huge group of people waiting for free just so they have extra help during busy times, forcing you to deal with the stress of not knowing when you'll work.
This lack of clear updates turns the job hunt into a waiting game where your time is treated as if it doesn't matter. When a company takes forever to reply, it isn't just being slow; it’s showing that making their own job easier is more important than respecting your life and your need for a steady paycheck.
Been with them for 11+ years never…
Been with them for 11+ years never witnessed so many incompetent coordinators at the Midlands super hub who can't do their job properly. Been 7 weeks still waiting for a occupational health and risk assessment and they don't have the decency and professionalism to reply
ZERO STARS
Hello.
I'd like to share my opinion about Angard. I submitted my application and the relevant documents. I logged in correctly. I received notifications about work elsewhere several times. The proposed changes were changed before I even started working. It was supposed to be a job for about four weeks, but the waiting time was incredibly long. It's a mess, with no information and no communication between Angard employees. It's a waste of my time, and I hope they remove my documents from the system.
Don't pay you right and when you follow…
Don't pay you right and when you follow it up they refuse to pay. I'm currently owed £230 and I'm tempted to take them to court. Criminal.
Where do i even begin man?
Where do i even begin man?
So for starters i apply like everyone else, do everything possible that they send over via email, get it done. So now i submit my application and get an offer for employment. there’s me thinking happy day😂 but no it gets even worse, i thought id be starting after that so i call regarding some induction days and the bloke i spoke to over the phone could barely speak english, he goes “ yh i gonna get manager to call you 10 mins” he ends it. No call back from the so called manager, i call again and the guy i then spoke to sounded like a sound guy and he acc helped me out saying “when induction days become available we’ll email you”
I then get an induction email, i replied to it within a minute of it getting sent, i call angard staffing to tell them i have replied to the email and asked for confirmation if i would get it, the guy said “ Sir for sure you’ll get in” i then receive an email couple hours later saying “due to limited space i haven’t been booked in”
Mate the whole process has made me angry that i no longer even wanna keep my application up. Terrible customer service and everything about angard is diabolical
Significant Payroll Failures and Non-Existent Communication to warn others about…
I am writing this to warn others about the systemic administrative failures at Angard Staffing.
While my experience working on the floor at Royal Mail was positive, the back-end service from Angard has been unacceptable. I encountered significant issues with the recording of my shifts, which resulted in a total lack of payment until January 9th.
The agency currently uses four different systems that do not seem to communicate with one another, leading to a complete breakdown in payroll accuracy. Despite sending numerous emails to rectify my missing wages which got paid after over 4 weeks !. They also lost my personal information during this time as well.
The lack of integration and support is extremely disappointing. If you are looking to work for Royal Mail, I strongly advise seeking direct employment rather than going through this agency. I am still waiting for a reply to my loss of personal information but I suspect I maybe waiting a long time !
A disgrace
A disgrace, they really need action taken against them it's ridiculous. Missed payments, no communications. I really enjoyed working at Royal Mail but going through this agency makes it incredibly unlikely that I would ever do so again. Still fighting to see any payslips and to get paid for two days they missed out. Surely there are laws against treating employees this way?
Worst "agency" you could ever end up…
Worst "agency" you could ever end up with. Loads of missed payments, trying to reach them is a nightmare. Then in the end zero communication about when my temp job with Royal Mail is finishing. Went for a shift been sent home. So overall, I am not recomending them to anyone. As long as you care for your wellbeing.
