I recently ordered fleece-lined leggings off Ardene. They were not fleece-lined. They were satin-lined with a fleece exterior but advertised as fleece-lined. Upon mailing my return at the post office, the gentleman at the counter told me I was the third person to make an Ardene return and for the same reason: that the item was not as advertised. I do not know what happened with Ardene, they used to be great but now they have gone downhill and seem to get away with false advertising. I will no longer be shopping at Ardene.

Incredibly rude and unhelpful customer service over the phone. My order status was “exception”, whatever that means. I was told that meant it failed. Lady on the phone couldn’t tell me a single reason why this would be. Like not an inkling. It was a very bizarre call, felt like maybe I was talking to a moody teenager. Brutal.

My package was not delivered. Customer service refuses to give me a refund or resend my order. Very unhelpful and disrespectful. Would never order from here again. They continually blame my building management when it has been confirmed in their logs that nothing was delivered.

I had a very disappointing experience at this store. Specially buying first time and for my daughter birthday occasion I purchased items that were supposedly on sale, but I was charged full price. I also signed up for the rewards program, which was promoted with a discount, yet that discount was never applied. I’m extremely frustrated and will not be shopping here again. I value honesty in business, and unfortunately, that’s not what I found here.
Très mauvais service: pour une petite et pauvre commande en ligne, j'ai dû appeler deux fois le service à la clientèle, car un produit ne m'avait toujours pas été envoyé. C'était marqué que la commande serait envoyée en deux colis, mais, 4 semaines plus tard, toujours pas de nouvelles sur le produit manquant. Finalement, la réceptionniste (la même) a conclu que, pour des raisons inconnues, le produit ne m'avait pas été envoyé, même s'il avait était prêt pour l'envoi depuis un certain temps. Tout ça a été expliqué d'un ton expéditif, comme si je la dérangeais et, bien sûr, sans aucune excuse de sa part pour l'inconvénient créé. Cela a été la première et la dernière fois pour moi pour ce qui est d'achats chez Ardene.
I ordered for 270$ and never received my package. It says it was delivered but I never received anything (nor in the mailbox, nor at my front door). I’ve been trying to reach out to them but it is impossible, they don’t pick up any calls over the phone and I emailed them as well and still no news!!!!

J’ai effectué une commande sur le site. Le site n’étais pas très fonctionnel mais ce que je reproche un peu c’est le manque de suivi de la commande effectuée. Je n’ai pas eu de mail pour me dire qu’elle était en préparation ou prise en charge par le transporteur. J’ai dû envoyer un mail au service client qui m’a répondu le lendemain pour savoir que ma commande avait été expédié et avoir mon numéro de suivi. Pour info j’ai commandé le 4 juillet et reçu le 16 juillet ce qui n’est pas mal.
Je vous recommanderais dans le doute de leur envoyer un mail pour avoir des infos sur votre commande. Sinon le service client a été réactif

Ardene cheats their customers out of loyalty rewards by feigning inventory errors, and not crediting back any REWARDS USED on the order. I placed an order for 3 items, totally about $42, using a $20 off coupon from the loyalty program. After placing my order, I received a notification that one item ($24) was out of stock. When I contacted support to ask when I will get the $20 credit back, they informed me that the $20 off will not be reissued as per their policy. I INSISTED that this is their inventory error, and it is ridiculous that they are punishing their own customers for fault of their part. They offered $10 credit, but would not reissue the full $20. Then, I recalled that the last time an inventory error occured, I had ALSO used a $ off rewards coupon. When I replied to Ardene, I brought this other situation up, and said it seems like they're using a bait and switch tactic to cheat people out of their rewards coupons, and now they even won't honor the $10 credit they promised, nor reply to my emails. As someone who works in Ecomm, this is appalling behaviour towards a customer.

I think Ardene can really be a hit or miss depending on what you are buying and the materials used. A lot of their clothing is made from synthetic fabrics like polyester and rayon, which is common for fast fashion brands. Because of that, some pieces might only last a few wears if you are lucky. I have even had a top completely fall apart after just one wear without washing it, which was really disappointing. The quality can definitely vary, so it helps to be selective and manage expectations when shopping here.
That said, I do think Ardene has improved its style and is keeping up with current trends that appeal to younger shoppers. I have never been a frequent shopper, maybe once or twice a year, usually in store. This was actually my first time ordering online, and overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The prices are very affordable, and with student discounts and various promotions, you can get some really great deals. I got two dresses and a t-shirt for $61.50 including tax, shipping, and discounts.
Just yesterday, I placed a second online order because they had a 15 percent off promotion, and I was able to stack a few discounts. That time, I got five items including two sweaters, a top and skirt set, and a jacket for around $74 total. It felt like a great deal for the amount of items I received.
One of my favorite memories from Ardene when I was younger was getting the surprise bags. They still sell them, and seeing that brought back such a wave of nostalgia. It reminded me of the fun I used to have shopping there in middle school.
If you are planning to shop here, I definitely recommend signing up for Ardene Rewards, their loyalty program. It gives you access to better discounts and exclusive offers. I also would not suggest buying anything at full price, since there are almost always sales, student deals, or promo codes available.
The only issue I have had so far was with that second order. The website crashed during checkout, and I thought the transaction did not go through. It ended up processing three times. I am currently reaching out to customer service to resolve it, and I am hoping everything gets sorted soon. Another minor thing is that the estimated delivery dates are not always accurate. My last order came a bit later than expected, but it was not a major issue.
Even with some inconsistencies in quality, some items I have bought from Ardene over the years have held up surprisingly well. If you are a careful shopper and know what to look for, there are definitely some cute and affordable gems. I am sorry to hear that some people have had bad experiences, but for me, things have been mostly positive so far. I will definitely continue shopping here every now and then, especially when there are good promotions.

Terrible company. Zero stars for customer service. Clothes are average. Not worth the price. They used Canpar to ship my order and I never even received it. Package was an hour away from my destination and then it was in an entirely DIFFERENT PROVINCE!! They said thatthey wpuld email me updates and then i heard nothing for 3 days until I messaged THEM. Stay away from this company, not worth the headache.

Ma fille de 12 ans s’y est rendue pour magasiner avec sa meilleure amie. Lors du passage à la caisse, la caissière a demandé à l’amie de ma fille si elle souhaitait faire un don. Lorsque celle-ci a poliment décliné, la caissière l’a regardée d’un air visiblement jugeant, ce qui a profondément mis l’enfant mal à l’aise.
Ma fille, présente à ce moment, peut corroborer ce comportement inapproprié.
Je trouve inacceptable qu’une employée se permette de juger ouvertement une jeune cliente qui n’a simplement pas les moyens de faire un don. Ce genre d’attitude peut avoir un impact négatif sur la confiance des enfants, surtout lorsqu’ils font un effort pour gérer leur propre argent.
UPDATE: After posting this, Ardene responded to my emails and confirmed that my package was in fact lost and quickly refunded me. I would've rather they resent my items (and when I asked if that was an option I got no response) but I'm glad they at least refunded. Still not great communication from them but definitely not a scam.

Order was never received. I filed a claim with UPS but they just reported they'd reach out to seller. When contacting customer service, they will only provide my tracking number - which notes the item is not appearing in their system any longer. It has been 2 weeks since I placed my order.
No attempt has been made to remedy the situation - if they ever bother to respond to my continuous emails I will revise this review.

I recently visited Ardene store on McPhillips Winnipeg to shop for some fashion items. The store has a nice selection and atmosphere, but my experience was far from satisfying.
When I arrived at the checkout, there was another customer having an issue with a product, so I had to wait for about 5-6 minutes. During that time, only one cashier was helping her. Eventually, two other cashiers arrived, but they focused only on the customer ahead of me. After they finished assisting her, one of the cashiers asked me if a dress on the counter was mine, but it wasn’t — it belonged to the customer in front of me.
What really frustrated me was that, after all that waiting, one of the cashiers asked me to step back and allow the customer behind me to be served next. Despite being the one who had been waiting longer, I was pushed aside. I tried explaining the situation, but the cashier didn’t listen, didn’t pay attention, and simply made assumptions based on her own judgments.
The service I received was unfair, and the lack of attention and listening made the experience much worse. Even though I was patient and tried to explain, the staff did not handle the situation properly. I hope Aden works on improving their staff’s customer service skills to ensure fairness and respect for all customers.
Bad website does not let me go through the checkout I have tried on 2 different browsers it just loads infinitely and my internet is fine.
Update it went through when I tried on the mobile app instead of the websites but Ardene gave me some points to use in my next purchase so at least the customer service is good I'll give it a 4

Ordered 4 items from ardene, they were shipped in two packages. One with canada post that got delivered no problem, the other one was dropped off randomly in the lobby in my apartment building and somebody ended up stealing it. Reached out to the customer service, and they eventually called me back to say that they will make an exception and will refund for the stolen package. I appreciate the gesture, and I know it is outside of their control. Beware of porch pirates everybody, I placed another order so it gets shipped to a canada post outlet. Thanks again, Jamie

Terrible customer service and product. Ordered/received black boots with gold accent. Wore them maybe 10 times over 4 months and they litterly came apart at the seam. I sent Ardene's a picture and requested a refund or store credit. I was refused because it is over 30 days. Well they didn't fall apart in the first 30 days especially while sitting in a closet. This wasn't normal wear and tear!! Horrible customer service and horrible cheap product. I hope they enjoy the last $45 they will ever get from me!!!
