Atkin and Thyme Reviews 

I live in South London and have always loved Atkin & Thyme furniture - I already have a few of their pieces at home. I only discovered the outlet store by chance when a side table I wanted went out of stock online. When I realised the outlet had one on display, I was over the moon! I called ahead, and the lovely team kindly reserved it for me so I could stop by on my way to the Midlands that weekend.

What I didn’t expect was the Friday traffic - my ETA kept getting later, and I was so anxious that I might miss them before closing. Harriett answered my call and was so calm, friendly, and reassuring. She told me not to worry and that they’d wait for me. That kindness honestly meant so much after a stressful three hour drive.

I arrived about ten minutes after closing, completely flustered, and was greeted so warmly by Harriett, Claire, and Sarah. They could instantly tell I’d had a long day - they offered me a drink, directions, and even let me take a quick look around. The store itself is beautiful, with so many gorgeous pieces at fantastic prices - definitely worth the trip if you love Atkin & Thyme’s designs.

Claire and Sarah helped wrap the table carefully and loaded it into my car with such care and patience. All three of them went above and beyond, and it honestly turned what could’ve been a really stressful journey into a genuinely heart-warming experience.

You can tell they take real pride in their work and care deeply about their customers. I really hope their managers see this and know how much their kindness and professionalism matter - it’s not often you come across people who embody that kind of warmth in retail anymore.

Thank you so much, Harriett, Claire, and Sarah - you were wonderful, and I’d make the long drive again just because of how lovely you all were!!!

Recently visited the retail outlet in King's Lynn...

Claire & Harriet were superb. They couldn't have been more knowledgeable, flexible and patient while I pondered on which things I was going to buy. I went for a couple of bedside tables, some lamps and a plinth which I took with me on the day. Replacement legs arrived as promised today. I absolutely love the quality and stylishness of all the items. Thanks C & H for making our day such a great experience!

We ordered the flute marble top bedside tables. Lovely product. Feels solid, good quality.

There were issues with the polish on one of the marble tops. It took a couple of times to ensure we had a top we were happy with.

I was looking for a timeless dining table that you wouldn't see in every single house and after many researches I discovered Atkin & Thyme. I absolutely love the table, but I also really appreciated the customer service that I received. After a few months we had a problem with the table and I was very nervous about the response I could get from them, but within an hour I was offered different options and got a new table delivered very quickly as well.

Exceptional service! I recently bought my first home and purchased a bulk of my items from here. To say they stood out would be an understatement. The quality is incredible, and the service is second to none. Truly outstanding from start to finish – a well-deserved 10/10.

I know this is the bare minimum however from dealing with online furniture companies like Swoon, where everything arrives broken and of poor quality for extortionate prices, it must be said.

I ordered two of the Marlow bedside tables and I am just so thankful my items arrived in perfect working order with no damage, packaged perfectly and the items look excellent.

Recommended.

we ordered some garden furniture and when it promptly arrived the table was damaged. I emailed the company who responded immediately. I gave photographic evidence which they accepted without hesitation. The replacement table arrived promptly the very next day. This was an amazing response to our situation and extremely pleasing. I also ordered covers for the furniture which I ordered much later and I thought I would have to wait a while for delivery but it came the day after the furniture which again was positively amazing. Thankyou very much ...a great customer after service.

For those looking at the ANNA CONTEMPORARY DINING SET...

Our table and chairs arrived with some cosmetic damage which for something that cost £700+ was disappointing. However, the customer service team were very quick with offering a return/replacement or part refund. We accepted the latter as we hadn't seen a set we liked as much as this one. The customer service is the only positive thing I have to comment on unfortunately.

Do NOT buy this table and chair set, it is NOT worth the money. It is INCREDIBLY light. So much so, we've had to recover it from other parts of our garden where it has been blown away on multiple occasions - and we've not really been having super strong winds. There are now more scuffs and scrapes because of this and we've had to resort to storing it out the way - pushed up against the side of the house and have to pull it out whenever we want to use it, rather than having convenience of it being already set up on our patio - another reason we chose this was because it would have looked nice on our patio!

Also, it may be 'weather-proof' (though we've only had it about 2 months so cannot say for sure how weather-proof), but the poor design results somehow in water building up inside the chairs and the table. The only way we've found to try and empty the table is by flipping it over and back again a few times. And even then, you cannot get it all out and it will continue to drip on the laps of those sat at the table.

Another thing I've picked up on is some of the chairs look like the legs are starting to buckle/bend. My husband and I are both in shape and so are our friends who have also sat at the table. Due to the lightweight-ness and flimsiness of the chair legs, I really don't think it'd take much force to bend them out of shape.

Not so much a quality issue but an annoyance is that the 4 chairs and bench (we bought the 6 seater) don't all tuck under the table at the same time. In fact, we have put the bench in the garage (which again, we have to bring out if we want to use) and then strategically tetris the chairs in a way that they just about all fit under - but still not perfectly.

If this set had cost £200, I'd have been a little less disappointed with the quality problems. I really cannot see this table and chair set being a long term investment and thus a waste of £700.

Great communication, delivery was when promised. Quality not great. We bought the Aviator loveseat, it smells odd - a bit barnyardy, and repeated airing and smell neutralisers haven’t sorted this. The build quality isn’t great, the tacks on the outside are irregular and have fallen out. The seat is comfortable, but the smell (even after 3 weeks) is off putting.

I was concerned about ordering in view of a small number of people reporting issues, although to be fair most of these recorded very good customer care response which gave me more confidence to place an order. I bought a burnished copper side table which arrived so quickly I couldn't believe it. It is the most beautiful item and I got it in the sale so it was also superb value. I am really pleased with the service and also the quality of the item

I don't do reviews normally, but this business deserves it.
I purchased a beautiful glass topped coffee table and within a day, it seemed to spontaneously shatter overnight.

If you miss good customer service, then be reassured that this team were exemplary!

They took me seriously immediately, there was no push back at all and they were immediately concerned enough to reassure me this would be looked at immediately by their product review team.

They then replaced my table with no questions asked, asked me to box up the fault table and ensured DPD came round to collect it and return it.

Seamless and professional throughout, their courtesy was a welcome glimpse into doing business with them, and I heartily recommend.

Their range is both beautiful and original and my experience of dealing with them ensures they shall leave a lasting impression on me.

I shall certainly be back for more.

Had an issue with one of the items and the customer service team were exceptional in sorting out the problem.

We purchased several pieces of furniture, and unfortunately, all of them arrived damaged and boxed in what appeared to be recycled horse manure packaging. The quality was shockingly poor, and the smell throughout our home was overwhelming and unpleasant.
We had to unpack multiple heavy boxes and assemble the furniture ourselves, only to later dismantle everything again and repackage it at our own expense because the company required this in order to process the return. It took over 10 days for the faulty items to be collected, during which time our home retained the strong smell of manure. It was unbearable !
We did decide to keep one cabinet after being offered a discount, as it was the least damaged. However, even after multiple cleanings, it still has a lingering odor weeks later.
On a positive note, customer service was responsive and processed our refunds without delay. That said, they did try to gaslight us by claiming they had no idea why the cabinet would smell of manure despite it being evident.
All in all, a very disappointing experience. While their service team was polite and helpful, the quality of the furniture and packaging was unacceptable.
