Disappointed with big brand like Audi they are scam and got evidence to prove it from Germany

1 Star – if I can add zero Extremely Disappointed with Audi UK & Northampton Audi

After being a loyal Audi customer for the past 14 years and purchasing six brand-new Audi vehicles, I never imagined I would be treated this way. My 2025 Audi RS Q8 developed a loud braking noise after only 9,000 miles. I booked the vehicle into Northampton Audi, where it was inspected for the first time and I was told that no fault could be found. I then returned the car for a second inspection, during which the brakes were dismantled, and once again I was told there was no fault and that the noise had disappeared. However, after collecting the vehicle, the same noise returned within just 100 yards of driving. I booked it in for a third inspection one week later, and this time I was told the carbon ceramic brake discs were damaged and needed replacing at a cost of over £16,000. How can the same brakes go from “no fault found” on two separate inspections to suddenly requiring a £16,000 replacement only a week later? So who ever sed need replacement they are scam To make matters worse, Audi UK

Milton Keynes refused to honour the warranty, claiming the damage was due to wear and tear. This explanation is completely unacceptable. Carbon ceramic brake discs are designed to last between 50,000 and 150,000 miles under normal use, yet Audi expected me to believe they had worn out after only 9,000 miles. Because I had completely lost confidence in Audi’s diagnosis, I contacted a Brembo Expert Certification Centre in Germany and sent them photographs of the discs. They advised me to replace the brake pads and send the discs to Germany for a full inspection. After examining them, the Brembo-certified experts confirmed there was no significant damage, only a few light marks and surface lines. Using their specialist laser restoration process, they restored the discs to an almost brand-new condition in just half a day before returning them fully serviceable. Since being refitted, the brakes have worked perfectly without any issues. This raises a very serious question: why did Audi tell me the discs needed replacing for over £16,000 when Brembo-certified experts in Germany confirmed they did not need replacing and successfully restored them Audi Uk instead? of accepting responsibility or carrying out a proper investigation, Audi UK simply rejected my warranty claim and labelled it as wear and tear. That is not the level of service, expertise or integrity I expected from a premium manufacturer. After 14 years of loyalty, Audi has completely destroyed my trust in the brand. I will never recommend Audi to anyone again. never again Audi Audi should stand behind its products and its customers. Sadly, in my case, it did neither.

Multiple Faults Within Weeks and Unacceptable Aftercare

My experience of Audi ownership has been extremely disappointing.

I purchased a nearly new Audi A6 e-tron expecting the quality, reliability and customer service associated with a premium brand. Instead, within weeks of ownership, the vehicle developed a growing list of faults including charging failures, connected services issues, tailgate faults, keyless entry problems, door control module issues and multiple interior rattles and buzzing noises.

The charging fault became particularly serious, reducing confidence in the vehicle's ability to complete normal journeys and ultimately resulting in Audi Assist attending the vehicle.

Whilst the Audi Assist technician was helpful and confirmed that dealer intervention was required, the experience deteriorated further once the vehicle entered Audi's retailer network.

The vehicle was handed over to Newcastle Audi for investigation, only for me to be advised that it may not be looked at until 14 September 2026, approximately six weeks after being booked in. This is despite the vehicle being only weeks old, having confirmed faults and already requiring Audi Assist involvement.

Perhaps most concerning was the apparent suggestion that the vehicle did not warrant any special priority because it was capable of being driven into the dealership rather than arriving on a recovery truck. I found that reasoning completely illogical. The fact a vehicle can move under its own power does not make it reliable, nor does it reduce the seriousness of confirmed faults.

Although Audi UK's Executive Office eventually became involved, this only occurred after repeated chases, multiple emails and unsuccessful attempts to obtain updates. Throughout the process I have continued paying finance, insurance and vehicle running costs whilst being left without any clear diagnosis timetable or repair plan.

Even the courtesy vehicle arranged through One Mobility was disappointing, arriving uncleaned and containing rubbish from a previous occupant.

What has disappointed me most is not simply the faults themselves, but the apparent lack of urgency, ownership and customer focus when dealing with a vehicle suffering significant issues so soon after purchase.

A premium badge commands a premium price, but in my experience the level of product quality and aftersales support has fallen well short of the standards Audi promotes.

I remain hopeful that Audi will ultimately resolve the situation, but based on my experience so far, I would struggle to recommend the Audi ownership experience to others.

Appalling experience with the Digital Services team.

This July, I called the Digital Services team twice:
1- because the app wouldn't let me renew my Connection & Infotaiment Plus license. Got hung up on 3 times to finally get a case created without anyone contacting me in 2 weeks. I stated I was on a holiday driving abroad and that I was not able to use my online services including the satnav. This is APPALLING!
2- The app got refreshed at Audi's backend, being an Audi technical fault, I renewed the license yesterday 31st July 2026, still not activated in my car. Called the Digital Services team who had no idea, and hung up on me once more. I called my (trusted) Audi Basingstoke dealership who knew and explained that it typically would take 48 hours for the license to be activated. Today's 1st August, I will wait until Monday 3rd and submit a formal complaint if nothing happens.

Base line: the Digital services team are not trained adequately - they leave you lingering on the phone (you can distinctly hear them talk and have a laugh between themselves before one of them decides to speak to you) and they will not hesitate one second to hang up on you if the ask gets too much for them.

Appalling service from Audi!
I have been a customer for 12 years and purchased 4 models (A3, A4, A5 convertible and now a S3 8Y).
That is driving me to considering another make moving forward.

Not the brand it used to be...

I don't normally leave negative reviews, but after 18 months of trying to resolve an issue with my new Audi, I feel it's important to share my experience.

I purchased my vehicle brand new in March 2025, expecting the level of quality and customer service associated with a premium manufacturer. Unfortunately, the reality has been very different.

What makes this particularly disappointing is that I've been an Audi customer since 2008. During that time I've owned five Audi vehicles and, until now, have always been extremely happy with both the cars and the service I've received. I've recommended the brand to friends and family without hesitation. Sadly, my recent experience has completely changed that opinion.

The car has suffered from a recurring fault relating to the parking selector and associated drivetrain and braking system warnings. Over the last 18 months it has been returned to the supplying dealership six separate times in an attempt to fix the problem. Despite multiple visits, the fault remains unresolved.

What has been most disappointing isn't just the fault itself—complex products can sometimes develop issues—but the way the situation has been handled. Every dealership visit has meant taking time away from work and family, rearranging commitments, and dealing with the stress and anxiety of not knowing whether the vehicle can be relied upon. The cumulative impact has been significant. What should have been an enjoyable experience owning a premium vehicle has instead become a continual source of stress, anxiety and inconvenience.

Throughout this process, I have tried to be patient and reasonable, giving both the dealership and Audi UK every opportunity to put things right. Rather than immediately pursuing rejection of the vehicle, I even suggested an extended warranty as a fair compromise, recognising that the recurring fault had never been conclusively resolved. That request was declined, and I was left feeling that neither the manufacturer nor the dealership was willing to stand behind the product or properly acknowledge the impact this has had on me as a customer.

I understand that faults can occur with any vehicle. What defines a premium brand is how those situations are handled. Unfortunately, my experience has been one of poor communication, limited empathy, and a lack of meaningful support despite repeated repair attempts.

After being a loyal customer for nearly two decades and purchasing five Audi vehicles, I never imagined I would be writing a review like this. Sadly, the decline in both product quality and customer service has completely eroded my confidence in the brand. Instead of doing what I believe was reasonable to retain a long-standing customer, Audi has left me feeling that rejecting the vehicle is my only remaining option.

For the first time since 2008, I cannot see myself purchasing another Audi. It's an incredibly disappointing conclusion to reach after so many years of loyalty, but my recent experience has convinced me that Audi no longer stands behind its products or values its long-term customers in the way it once did.

having owned 5 Audi's I didn't think I would ever say a negative word about them - well how the mighty have fallen - bought a brand new Audi 3 months ago and a warning light has come on - called Audi and guess what - they can give me an appointment in 2 1/2 months - yes that's correct - a warning light for a security feature and they can see me in October - what has become of Audi!

3 month wait for fault diagnosed

Car is great, but electric flap will not open on 2024 car. They couldn't look at it for 3 months. This costing me money in Petrol (PHEV). I had it done independently for 130GBP within two weeks, I asked Audi to cover this as a good gesture. I don't feel I am emailing a person it must be AI as they are not reading them properly. If I wanted paid work I bet they could get it in quickly.

I would give less stars if I could

I would give less stars if I could. Stay clear of Audis electric vehicles; I have a Q6 and since new last year it has been back in to the garage five times, multiple charging issues, constant boot issues, needing two major updates, it is awful and a headache, the car is not fit for purpose. The Customer service is also very poor but I guess the staff are fed up of having to listen to the same old issues. Even the complaints procedure is very poor, my case couldn’t be allocated to a case investigator within the allotted time and is still ongoing now after 3 months, what does that tell you? overrun with complaints?! Stay clear, you are wasting your money.

Audi - total financial incompetence & care for customers

Audi need to conduct a serious management refresh of Group 1 Audi Whetstone. Failed to return £1000 deposit for over a month, no process for thorough investigation, including head office who went straight back to the one individual who was proving ineffective at Audi Whetstone. Audi first ignored several requests for someone to just return my call, then when eventually reaching someone in finance he failed to provide correct facts and dismissed my concerns citing they had followed all appropriate steps to refund me. Bank also unimpressed with Audi’s handling and laying blame with them (UKs largest bank). Interestingly as soon as court action notification sent, Audi processed the deposit refund within a couple of hours, citing bank had rejected the first refund - hmm really? Bank confirmed no payment was ever sent by Audi therefore nothing was rejected, if it was rejected they would have provided evidence. A very unpleasant experience, full of incompetence, laziness, arrogance and total lack of care towards customers. Will never do business with Audi Group 1 again.

The Real Audi Ownership Experience

I purchased a brand new 2026 Audi Q3 expecting the quality and customer experience associated with a premium brand. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but premium.

From early ownership, the vehicle developed repeated MMI and navigation faults, including system freezes and “Navigation currently unavailable” messages. Despite providing photographic evidence over many months, I was repeatedly told that no fault could be found. I have now been advised that the proposed solution is a software update expected in Quarter 1 2027. I do not believe it is reasonable to expect the owner of a brand new premium vehicle to wait many months for an anticipated software update with no certainty that it will resolve the issue.

The software faults have not been the only concern. The driver’s window regulator failed and required replacement, the windscreen was replaced but failed to resolve the optical issues, bodywork was damaged whilst the vehicle was being repaired, and further issues have since developed, including a steering related noise and an intermittent crackling sound from behind the dashboard.

What has disappointed me most, however, has been Audi UK’s handling of the case. Rather than taking ownership and driving the matter towards a resolution, I found myself repeatedly chasing for updates. Calls were made at random without any attempt to arrange a mutually convenient time, meaning missed calls often led to voicemail, emails and further delays. If customers are expected to schedule appointments when they need support, it seems reasonable to expect the same courtesy when a manufacturer is managing an ongoing complaint.

I have been patient throughout, allowing multiple repair attempts and giving every opportunity for the issues to be resolved. Instead, I have been left with a vehicle I no longer have confidence in and a customer experience that falls well short of what I expected from Audi.

My advice to anyone considering a new Audi is not to judge the ownership experience by the quality of the showroom or the marketing. Instead, ask yourself a much more important question: if your new vehicle develops significant faults, are you confident the manufacturer will take ownership of the problem and see it through to a satisfactory conclusion?

Based on my experience, the answer to that question is no.

That’s me done with Audi

That’s me done with Audi, had three new ones in a row and two out of three had problems just (I mean just) out of warranty, third on still in warranty so waiting for something to happen to that. no help at all, not interested unless you pay their extortionate prices.

Absolutely useless

Do not buy I have been an Audi customer for many years and, until recently, fully intended to continue buying Audi vehicles and renewing my Audi warranty.
My 2022 Audi Q7 developed a fault with the USB-C ports. During my investigations, I discovered that Audi had issued a technical bulletin covering a known condition where USB sockets can become loose, pushed into the housing or shear off the internal PCB across multiple Audi models, including the Q7. Audi's own bulletin acknowledges this failure mode and describes the repair process.
Despite this, Audi refused my warranty claim, concluding that the damage must have been caused by "external influence" rather than a manufacturing defect. Audi's technical bulletin also states that this type of damage is considered external influence and is not covered under warranty.
My concern was never simply that Audi declined the claim. My concern was that throughout the process I do not believe Audi demonstrated how customer misuse occurred in my specific case.
Audi demonstrated that the ports were damaged.
What Audi never demonstrated was that I caused that damage.
I escalated the matter through the dealership, Audi UK's Executive Office, senior management and ultimately the Managing Director's office. Whilst I appreciated the opportunity for a further review, the outcome ultimately repeated the original conclusion and I never felt that an independent reassessment of the evidence had taken place.
At that point, I realised this was no longer about an £800 repair. It was about whether a loyal customer could have confidence that Audi would objectively review a disputed warranty claim.
For me, the answer was no.
What I find most disappointing is that Audi was prepared to lose a long-standing customer over a relatively modest warranty repair rather than provide compelling evidence to support its position or give the customer the benefit of the doubt.
Unfortunately, the process left me with the impression that protecting a predetermined position was more important than genuinely reviewing the facts.
As a result:

I will not be renewing my Audi warranty.
I will not be purchasing another Audi.
I no longer have confidence that Audi will stand behind its products when there is a disagreement over the cause of a failure.
If you are considering buying an Audi, my advice is simple:
Don't just look at the vehicle. Ask yourself how confident you are that Audi will support you when something goes wrong and there is a dispute over a warranty claim. That is when you discover what owning an Audi is really like.an Audi, it isn't worth it

Very disappointed in the Audi I brought never again would I buy from this manufacturer.

Very disappointed in the Audi I brought new in October 2025 after moving away from Land Rover . In October 2025 I picked up my all electric q6 e tron . The car after a few days was back in the garage with issues and had since been back in the garage a further 7 times . Issues include not charging , doors not opening (major safety issue if in accident) boot opening while driving or not opening at all. Dash board warning lights , phone not connecting to car . The car has been in to the dealership Tamworth and Solihull several times on occasions keeping the car 3-5 days to be returned with the same problems . Very poor built cars , poor customer service , would never purchase another Audi unreliable and feeling very unsafe driving a vehicle with so many issues .

Minus stars?

It should be possible to give 'minus stars' when dealing with Audi. The company should be ashamed at the proportion of customers giving a single star. Nothing will change and there is no point complaining - the majority of people posting are only too well aware that the motor trade is bent from the executives at VW condoning fiddled fuel figures to the back street dealer selling clocked cars. Good riddance!

My experience with Audi Breakdown…

My experience with Audi Breakdown Assistance has been extremely disappointing, especially considering I own an Audi R8 and expected a level of service that matched the brand.

The courtesy vehicle process was poorly managed from start to finish. My replacement vehicle was delivered a day late. Initially, I was offered an Audi A6, which I was willing to accept, but I also said I would happily take a Q7 or any other premium vehicle. Instead, I was told that nothing suitable was available.

This is particularly frustrating because I specifically need a premium vehicle to attend an upcoming wedding and a graduation. It is unreasonable to expect an R8 owner to accept a significant downgrade when these events were made clear to Audi.

Communication was equally poor. I spent 25 minutes waiting to speak to Audi Assist, only to be told that the advisor’s system wasn’t working. When they attempted to call me back, there was nobody on the other end of the line.

To make matters worse, I then spent around two hours at Enterprise waiting for a courtesy car. As there were no suitable Audi or Volkswagen premium vehicles available, I asked whether I could have a premium vehicle from another manufacturer. John from Audi Assist was very helpful and even emailed Enterprise confirming that another premium brand could be provided. Despite this, Enterprise refused, claiming they would be fined if they supplied a different manufacturer.

The only positive part of this experience was John, who genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, his efforts were undermined by poor coordination between Audi Assist and Enterprise.

For a premium brand like Audi, particularly when supporting owners of flagship models such as the R8, this level of customer service falls well below expectations. Long waits, poor communication, delays in providing a courtesy vehicle, and inconsistent information have left me extremely disappointed. I expected a premium ownership experience, but what I received was anything but.
