Gift packaging different from the order!
The product I ordered with order number #112182669 is not the same as the product box that arrived at the address. I am disappointed that the product I ordered was sent in a different packaging, without the packaging and the 4 snack bowls that came with it. I couldn't recommend this under any circumstances
I'd ordered a Chocolate Mousse Torte Cake for my partner's birthday! Against our better judgement we decided to try ordering a cake to be shipped and chose Bake Me A Wish. But we both love dark chocolate and felt this sounded like something that we might enjoy. To start out it certainly wasn't "pretty" when we opened the box! Shipping was not kind to the visual appearance. We followed the instructions and left it sealed up to thaw. The texture of the torte/cake/mousse was granular and on the dry side. The chocolate flavor was -- to be diplomatic -- unusual and hard to pin down. Or to put it another way what flavor there was was not enjoyable. I guarantee you this was not made with high quality chocolate or any other ingredient! So, I'm not sure what customers bought to warrant such high ratings for this company; but it surely can't have been this cake! What an embarrassing waste of a lot of money and a huge birthday disappointment.
UPDATE:
I did reach out to this company on July 15 and have so far heard NOTHING. They have however spammed me with numerous promotional emails.

First Time Customer and Delayed Delivery
First time customer, and for the price of their cakes and shipping, I expect excellence. The delivery date was delayed due to an issue at their shipping facility and the options to make it right were to pick another delivery day (2 days out or 5 days out from the original date) or refund me. Fortunately, this wasn't for a birthday or something important.
Once the cake arrived, the recipient seemed to enjoy it, but considering the main point is to order something special for someone on a specific date, I can't recommend the company.

Do not schedule a Saturday delivery
I bought my dad a cheesecake for Father's Day and had it scheduled to be delivered the Saturday before. Bake Me A Wish shipped it UPS two day which does not guarantee Saturday delivery. The cake was late and ruined. My dad is 90. He doesn't have a lot of Father's Days left. I gave two stars since the refund process was seamless.

Ordered a Fathers Day cake, did not arrive the day requested it arrived a day later. The cake was melted attached to the box it arrived in. Very disappointing I know that UPS will be blamed, the ice pack was also melted....

Never ever accept shipment of this cake to Hawaii
The cake/cookies arrived of but that is all I say about it. It was horrible. My son also included a dozen cookies packet. The same. Both lacked flavor and texture. I was so disappointed that he spent his money purchasing and having it flown to Hawaii to celebrate my birthday. It was a brown sticky glob. Impossible to cut. I had to thrown it out. The ice pack had completely melted and was a warm pack of water. I would not recommend this product for flavor, texture and especially where if was tasteless,,,,and would suggest never accept orders to Hawaii. I did not have the heart to tell him he had wasted his money!
