Great staff, accommodating, friendly, helpful, well experience.

They undertook work I had not asked for and charged me for it. A week later the commissioned repair failed.
I took the bike back in as suggested in the reply, and was then told I need a new wheel. So I fixed it myself without getting a new wheel and its fine now.
Awful business practice.

Came in with a snapped chain on a very busy day for the guys. Ben managed to fit me in and diagnosed the problem in such a way as the service was covered by warranty. Can’t thank them enough!

Book bike in for a general service with note to pay particular attention to gears. Diagnosed new chain and cassette required, but failed to notice gear cable was shredding. Needless to say 1 week later it snapped on my commute. Not happy.

Reliable good service

Great service, fast and all explained well.

I recently needed help packing my bike for a flight to Singapore and turned to Balfe's Bikes in Chiswick, which had been recommended by a friend who bought her bike and cycling gear there a few months ago. I contacted the store and received a response the next day offering to help pack the bike — and, as I didn’t want to purchase a bike box, they even offered me a free reused one from the store.

On the day I visited, Mike was incredibly helpful. He took the time to clean my bike and carefully pack it to airline standards. I was especially grateful for the kind service, considering I hadn’t even purchased my bike from them!

This is the kind of thoughtful, personal service you only get from independent shops like Balfe's Bikes. I highly recommend supporting them — not only will you find great products, but you'll also receive outstanding customer care. As proof of their excellent work, my bike arrived in perfect condition in Singapore without any issues at the airport. Thank you again!

Purchased helmet which was sadly damaged in delivery but a quick response and action from customer support. Went to collect new helmet and got refund as meanwhile helmet gone to sale and they offer price match.

My experience at the Chiswick branch has been excellent. Top score to Tim and his colleagues. The whole process was friendly, helpful and very informative. I have had a few visits buying replacement products for retired items such as cycling shoes, helmet etc. I have always been made to feel welcome and that there are no stupid questions.
The after sales help has been excellent when I went back for some minor niggles. I highly recommend this branch. Six stars!

Friendly and expert advice to resolve a problem I had with my tyre

Simon was amazing in helping us pick our first road cycling bikes! Left very happy after purchasing two new Cubes. Great advice on what would be best, and he is super knowledgable! We have also been back in for a few bits and pieces and go straight to him. Thank you!
