This is a really useful resource for musos. I had a good experience and got set up with my current band because of this site. Just wanted to drop bandmix a line so they can keep helping others. Cheers.

The site works ok, but support is very unresponsive. I have one video that the link will not work despite creating it more than once. Strangely enough the error occurs on my public profile, but if I am logged into my account it will play from the BandMix activity page for members. I have several videos and this is the only one that will not play properly. I have emailed support , filled out the support contact page on the site, called and left 2 messages, but still no response. Today I called and got the after hours support and they took and gave her a brief description of my issue, name, email, and phone number. I still have not a response.

I subscribed for 3 months just to try it out. After the 3 months they billed me for another 3 months. When I subscribed there was no indication that it would be auto renewable.
I was shocked, now I lost my money.
The company is deceptive and willing to cheat musicians who don't have a lot of money to begin with.

Worked brilliantly! Site is super easy to use and allowed me to connect with some mates into the same type of tunes. Recommend bandmix.

It's disappointing when you contact people posted on here but they don't have the decency to respond back however that shows the type of person they are so at least you haven't waisted any time on them

These crooked shameless slimeballs...I always make sure not to select recurring payments yet these shady scumbags go and change my selection and charge me probably hoping I wont notice. I will make my final departure from this "service" subscription and report them to every party I can find.

Bought a subscription. Seems like a great site but I believe they are making it look like old accounts are still active to make it look like theres more musicians.

Pero eso es lo de menos,los usuarios dan asco, he enviado muchos mensajes a muchos músicos y no me ha contestado nadie, ni si quiera para rechacar alguna petición en formar o entrar en una banda

Si no están activos en la página para eso no se creen perfiles y no hagan perder el tiempo a los usuarios activos e interesados en hacer música

Si no recibo por lo menos 1 mensaje en 1 mes me doy de baja, no recomiendo pagar por el premium, no merece la pena, es dinero a la basura -_-

This is a really good resource for musicians. Easy to navigate and use. Yeah, it costs a couple bucks to contact others, but you can either try to workaround it or just pay it - it's not much. Made some good connections on here and formed the current group I play out with. I'll use it again in the future.

I called to resolve an issue.The sight wouldn't accept my gmail address or password. Yet they were able to charge my credit card for non service. Lousy callback skills. Goodbye Band sh$ts

I gave only one star because Zero was not an option.

I am a pretty angry Ex- Bandmix member Username Humbledawn I have no problem paying for what I use EG. Monthly Subscription to Contacting other musicians in my area mind you the system seems to think a City 1800km away is in my area.

Last week 28/11/2019 I uploaded an unfinished song for members I collaborate with to listen to the system offered to Master it for free, Next I know my credit card was charged 15.95 twice a total of 31.90 for HDWAV Mastering of the same track. I immediately contacted Bandmix asking why I was charged as to my knowledge I never gave permission to charge for the mastering, and more importantly Never gave permission to Bandmix to retain my Credit Card details though I'm sure if I went looking through the hundreds of pages of their policy it would be.

29/11/2019 I received an email saying "We are sorry you were charged twice for the mastering of a song . We will be happy to look into the issue" So they will look into it and refund 1 of the 2 amounts the stole from my bank account and to date NO money has been refunded.

I've had a profile on bandmix for a decade. Over the years I've kept it updated every so often and used it basically to point someone to a profile with media in lieu of audition (or at least as an example of level of musicianship).

Right now I'm on a subscription but I would guess 3/4 of the last decade I've just run in the free mode. I have been happy enough with the site that I do this to make sure they can keep the lights on.

The search filters are good, basically browsing by area, genre etc. I usually search for folks who were active in the last 6 weeks. You can get pretty granular and I have used this feature many times. This is one of the best features the site offers, along with a weekly email of musicians roughly in your area (list does not get stale, different folks each week), and an occasional (maybe monthly) email as to who is viewing your profile.

As far as actual contacts that I didn't already know, it has yielded a few. One of these resulted in a recurring engagement with a full band (horns and all) at a large church (I do contemporary praise music).

My advice is upload some kind of example of your playing/singing even if it is recorded on a phone. I rarely followup on a CL ad with no examples/links and I would have the same tendency here.

In summary, there is no downside to creating a profile as you can do it for free. As for me, I will probably continue to throw a few dollars to bandmix (when I have a few) as I haven't found anything exactly like it. I have also noticed that there are many new people signing up (2019) so perhaps this older service is getting back on the collective radar. I hope so, it has been a good overall experience.

I almost never give 5 stars to anything. I guess if the price was $60-70 per year this would have pushed this review to 5 stars and beyond. Nothing wrong with the site/experience.

Th e filters don`t work.Put in for a drummer in Staffs area with 20mile radious of Stoke,managed to get places over 60 miles away and sometimes for a guitarist! Very frustrating....Ken

The site has helped me make contact with fellow musicians on a couple of occasions so no complaints on that score, however, it does seem that bands are using it to advertise their existence and are not actually seeking to recruit anyone which to my mind is a misuse of the site.

Great musician resource. Easy to use and search through local profiles. Found many connections including my new band. Keep up the good work guys!

Our band found a new drummer using bandmix in about a week. It really is an easy to use service and our experience was much better than craigslist and other similar classifieds.

Wanted to contact a musician using this site to hire for my wedding ceremony. Was told I could not use the website unless I paid for a monthly subscription, even though I would only be using this site once. I reached out to the customer service and was told the same- I needed to sign up for a monthly subscription. Very unhappy with this.
