So helpful and informed

Excellent service

As a regular customer of Barrhead, we have found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating when looking for a holiday on our behalf; whether it be a cruise, a beach holiday or visiting several locations.

Julie responded to our request quickly and found all of our requirements before booking it for us…. Such a smooth process and all documents emailed over to us straight away. I recommend Julie as an experienced travel consultant

Spotless hotel but not enough seats in the lounge for entertainment

I am a pensioner and have been saving up for more than 2 years to take my grandchildren to see Santa in Lapland. I booked a day trip through Barrhead Travel in Bearsden, at a cost that would make your eyes water. The agent stressed that we were lucky to get a booking for 10 people and that I had to get it booked and paid PDQ or we would most likely miss out. So I did. Then someone told us that it’s not recommended for children under 4, and that there are no snow suits or warm boots for that age group either. One of our party is only 2, so we were obviously concerned. Going back to Barrhead travel, they produced a brochure for the first time, and conceded that the brochure clearly states that the trip isn’t suitable for under 4s, but their attitude was “Don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll be fine”. But they would not be drawn on what we should do if there is no protective clothing for the wee one. We felt we were being fobbed off and they were just interested in getting the money. So we went back again to try to get some answers, and a different agent just held the party line of “Yeah, I’m sure it will be fine”. If we want to take the 2-year-old off the booking, it will cost us hundreds of pounds!! So the most vulnerable get NO PROTECTION from the cold, with their lives put at risk so that Tui get the booking and Barrhead Travel get their commission. There was absolutely no effort from the Barrhead Travel people to work on our behalf. They have bled my savings off me and placed us in a situation of extreme anxiety, and they just don’t care. They’ve got the booking and commission and that’s all that matters. I will never, ever book with them again.

Barrhead Travel are totally the best company to deal with there is not a thing they won’t do to give you exactly what you ask.There is no trying to sell you things that are pretty irrelevant it’s more advice on making you aware of things that are beneficial to you.
I’ve been dealing with the Stirling team for years and they are the finest bunch of staff you could meet.

If it wasn't for Kelly in the Stirling branch with her experience and knowledge on cruising I'm quite sure we would still be hesitant on booking our first one. Nothing was a bother and she always made us feel relaxed and important to her.
