My Experience at the Issaquah store
I went to the Issaquah location and was helped by 2 gentlemen. I did not get the first man's name, but Steven Flanagan helped finish my transaction. Both men were very knowledgeable and thorough in their review of the jewelry, coins and flatwear that I brought in to sell. The transaction took 1 1/2hr to complete and it was near closing, but I never felt rushed. I have already contacted 3 friends and suggested they contact Steven for an appt. to bring in their valueables for review. Thank you.

Carina is fantastic!!
Carina, in the Tacoma store, was so amazing and patient. I brought in a lot of silver and some gold jewelry that I never wore and I was able to sell almost everything. It’s a good feeling to have finally done this after waiting a long time to go on in! I’m so fortunate to have been able to work with her. She is excellent! Now I’m certain everyone there is wonderful but I will be going back to see her when I’m ready to sell more jewelry.
Carina took the time to look over all the pieces. There was no sense of rushing through this process, at all. This was a positive and nice experience! All my thanks!!

Do NOT trust the staff and their professional lying skills! They will tell you your gems aren't worth anything because of the manufactured gems nowadays and not being able to tell the difference, hence your gems not worth much... LIES!!! I was in there selling items (which I had done several times, unfortunately) I walked in as an older man, obviously desperate for cash, like many of us that go in there to sell our family heirlooms. I literally heard one of the staff say, "oh yeah" very happily and celebratory, another staff said, "did you score diamonds?" The guy said " oh yeah, big ones" they laughed and then realized I was in there. I wasn't going there because I had jewelry laying around, I went out of desperation due to job loss. It was my fourth time going in, up to that point I had made the mistake of trusting these sheisters, the way they manipulate your trust is disgusting. I decided to sell one item because I needed gas... I found another place called Seattle Gold, they aren't sheisters, they are at least honest about what they are doing. I took gold there, received almost double what Bellevue coins gave me, and for the jewelry they weren't going to resell, they took the gems out and gave them back to me so I could sell just the gold, most places want the gold to melt. I left this place in shock knowing what Bellevue coins had done, but it was too late to do anything about it. I had spent the money they gave me, so I couldn't even try to purchase it back even if I wanted, which I doubt they would allow anyway. I travelled to Pittsburgh to visit family, a friend of a family member has become a jeweler, I shared the story with them; they couldn't believe what I was telling them, and how much I was paid. Anyway, STAY AWAY FROM BELLEVUE COIN! I am sad I ever went there, I sold items for half of what I should have received. Do your due diligence before you sell your jewelry, call around to different places see what they offer, and how they go about purchasing your precious gold.

That said, we strongly disagree with the claims made here and feel it’s important to clarify how our business operates for the benefit of anyone reading this.
Bellevue Rare Coins is a licensed, long-established precious metals and jewelry buyer in the Pacific Northwest. Every offer we make is based on current market values, metal content, gemstone quality, and resale viability, not on a customer’s appearance, personal situation, or perceived urgency. We do not misrepresent items, and we never tell customers that natural gemstones are “worth nothing.” However, many gemstones, especially small diamonds or stones removed from mass-produced jewelry that may have limited secondary market value.
All transactions at our shop are fully transparent and completely voluntary. Customers are encouraged to ask questions, decline offers, compare prices elsewhere, or walk away with their items at any time. We do not pressure anyone to sell, and we do not prevent buybacks when they are requested within reasonable timeframes and availability.
Pricing differences between buyers are normal. Some businesses operate on different margins, specialize in different resale channels, or choose to pay above market on certain items while making them up elsewhere. Receiving a higher offer at another shop does not mean a prior offer was dishonest but rather it simply reflects differing business models.
Regarding the alleged staff conversation, we categorically reject the implication that our team celebrates or exploits customers. Our staff regularly discusses inventory in professional terms, and any interpretation beyond that does not reflect our values or conduct.
We understand that selling personal or inherited items can be emotional, especially during difficult times, and we regret that you feel distressed in hindsight. However, we stand by the integrity of our evaluations, our staff, and our long-standing reputation in the community.
We always encourage sellers to do exactly what you ultimately advised: get multiple quotes, ask questions, and choose the buyer they feel most comfortable with. We are confident that customers who do so will continue to find Bellevue Rare Coins to be fair, professional, and honest.

Communication Challenges
From the day my wire cleared until the order was ready, was 36 days not 10 as I was told. The individuals that I began the process with became unreachable in the end and would not return emails. I would have given 1 star if it were not for Andrew G., who was great at the end.

Don't hold your breath
We visited the Bellevue location last Thursday with the interest on selling a men's ring. We had the appropriate paperwork with us and met with a salesclerk who took pictures and sent it to the owner for a response. After awhile we left and the sales clerk took our info and said she would get back to us later in the day. We followed up with the store, late Thursday, Friday and then on Monday. At a bare minimum, they should of returned a call to let us know if they were interested or not. Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply.......
After filing a review- they responded with the standard apology etc - not our standard….and want US to contact them - they have our information and it is on them to follow up
