We had such a brilliant experience at Bensons for Beds, and it was all thanks to Summer.

We were shopping for a mattress, base and headboard for our first home together, so we were excited… but also a bit overwhelmed and unsure about what we actually needed. From the moment we walked in, Summer made us feel completely at ease. She was so friendly, warm and welcoming, and her knowledge was incredible.

She took the time to understand us, how we sleep, what we were looking for and what would suit us best and she honestly nailed it. Everything she showed us felt spot-on, and we never felt rushed or pressured. It felt like she genuinely cared about helping us make the right choice, not just making a sale.

Buying something as important as a bed for your first home is a big deal, and Summer made the whole experience easy, enjoyable and exciting. We left feeling confident, happy and really looked after.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Summer at Bensons for Beds enough - she’s an absolute credit to the store. Thank you for making such a special milestone for us even better!

Bed - so far excellent

Situstion ongoing. Bed was bought and customer paid for installation. On day, bed and workers arrived but could not build as wrong screws were included. Fitters left after ringing office and providing photos. They told me also that screws were greasy and have marked the material. They also reported this apparently. I was sent an email saying an engineer would get back to me within 2 days. This did not happen and when customer services were contacted, they had no knowledge of issues and challenged me to provide photos of damage to material even though their fitters had reported it. Customer services then said they would send ME the appropriate bolts and then I would have to contact an engineer. All this time there is a half built bed in my bedroom. They also said it would be no earlier than 7th November despite bed being delivered on 24th October.
I paid for this service and I still have no solution. Really appalling but nobody will read this or attempt to contact me.

Still no bed.
Customer service did not believe their build team that screws were too short so an independent company arrived 4 days later only to confirm they were too short. Headboard was in a poor condition and after sending photos I was offered £75 to keep headboard or £125 to spend instore !!!
Asked for a replacement headboard but stipulated I needed all of this completrd by end of November. As I write this, I still do not have a date for replacement screws or headboard.
The only helpful person is Ursula but she cannot fix this sorry mess on her own

Wide availability, price and customer care

It was my first time buying a new mattress and i had absolutely no idea what I was doing, The lovely Summer then came over and explained everything throughly, She helped me find the perfect mattress for me and She was really nice and happy to help.

This is our 2nd purchase from Benson’s and again would have no hesitation in recommending the Company. Excellent service from choosing bed/mattress to the bed being delivered. We were kept informed from start to finish with delivery date/times. Great friendly team who were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you once again.

My first visit to Bensons and from start to end you are made to feel comfortable no pressure no one hovering over you and when I did choose a bed Jo done the paperwork and arranged delivery with no fuss . Yes I would definitely give 5 stars for such a good friendly visit

We purchased a Sealy orthopaedic but after 14 months found it was dipping and extremely uncomfortable so we tried claiming on 10 year guarantee. Had a guy out who did some useless tests and declared the mattress ok. So guarantee is useless we are £2000 out of pocket and I wouldn't recommend sealy or bensons to anyone. The "expert "test only involves pressing down on bed and how much it resumes which was 2 inchs. This does not test maximum dip and the feel of springs under you. For the mattress to resumes to 2 inches it must dip by 4 to 5 inches which creates a large dip with quite a mound between sleepers.

From the offset Summer was so helpful and advised us what mattresses were the best for mine and my partner's needs.

Summer allowed us to try several mattresses at our leisure. There was no hard sales pitch. My partner and I did not feel under any pressure or obligation.

Nothing was too much trouble and no questions were left unanswered.

I was dreading going mattress shopping. The moment I stepped into the shop my anxiety went.

Honestly, if your going to Cardiff Gate, then ask for Summer's expertise.

As I’m currently using a wheelchair I appreciated the lift. The store is very well laid out and a pleasant place to be. We were served by a knowledgeable lady who showed us the appropriate mattresses. We purchased two mattresses and the paperwork was dealt with efficiently. The mattresses were delivered a week later. Not yet been slept on but looking forward to doing so.
