Exceptional
Visited Beckworth Emporium for an afternoon tea. The whole experience was exceptional, the staff were very attentive and the afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and very plentiful. Highly recommended. Also browsed the garden centre and shops. Purchased several items. Beckworth is really worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Baffling (no) sales policy
My partner and I are long time customers of Busy Bee Garden Centre on the IOW, which recently became a Blue Diamond establishment. The refurbishments and variety of goods are impressive. But company policy is utterly baffling. Today I went to the store specifically to buy a £65 Karlsson Cuckoo House Clock, in Jungle Green. However, this specific item had not been available for several weeks, despite one being on display. I asked if I could buy the display item, and was told no. The specific clock was described to me by one manager as ‘popular’ yet no one seemed to know when it would be available again. I made repeated attempts to buy the display clock, which could easily have been put in another box for me, but staff were adamant that Blue Diamond preferred to have an item that could not be purchased on display for customers to find attractive then be told it wasn’t for sale! Staff offered to take my name, but waiting for an undetermined period was not much use. The incident reveals a policy which benefits neither Blue Diamond or its customers. Never before have I been in a store which refuses to sell something on display if it is the only one available.

The reply from Blue Diamond tells me what I already knew and assumes that I am happy to wait until stock arrives, which I am not. Amazon have no problem in delivering the item concerned, I have therefore taken my custom to them. I see no good reason why Blue Diamond cannot allow display items to be sold when stock is delayed.

The display clocks of this type are not available for sale. We appreciate that this can be frustrating, particularly when the item you are looking for is temporarily out of stock.
I can confirm that we have taken your details, along with those of other customers who are waiting for this item, and we will contact you as soon as new stock arrives. As explained at the time, there can sometimes be a delay. The supplier has advised of delays due to extreme weather conditions at the port of the Netherlands. As soon as we receive a further update, we will be in touch directly with you.

I ordered a patio set that cost…
I ordered a patio set that cost £1700.00 that arrived with a table top that was damaged.
I contacted them immediately and sent photos. 2 weeks later still no replacement and can’t tell me when it will be sent. Yet you can order the suite on their website for arrival in 5 days… will end up asking them to take it back and go elsewhere. It seems they just want your money…..

Lovely garden centre to visit
Lovely garden centre to visit. Not only lovely plants but a variety of other shops. Clothes, kitchen ware, gifts, footwear, toys and cards. Also has a lovely restaurant and all staff are friendly.
Great, large car park too.

How old was this Jacket?
Just had lunch again at St Mellons Cardiff.
Food not great. Overpriced for what it is.
Old stale and not fresh jacket potato was returned and the replacement was not much better. First one was grey.. ..second one was nearly translucent.
Scone was also stale.
The service was not very helpful. They didn’t know what to do.
I’m finding it very poor at moment.
Such a shame, could be a lot nicer.
The last twice we have been there has not been good.

Order: BD2026.06.1577 — No refund, no response, breach of consumer rights
I’m extremely disappointed with Blue Diamond Garden Centres’ handling of my click‑and‑collect order BD2026.06.1577.
The item was never collected, and on 10 July 2026 I exercised my statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Click‑and‑collect purchases are distance contracts, and because the goods were never received, the cooling‑off period never began. The retailer is legally required to refund within 14 days of cancellation.
Despite contacting them on 10 July, 18 July, and again later, I have received no response at all — and no refund. The statutory refund deadline passed on 24 July, yet Blue Diamond has ignored every email.
This is a clear breach of consumer law and extremely poor customer service. I am now escalating the matter through my credit card provider under Section 75 and reporting the retailer to Trading Standards.
A garden centre group of this size should not be ignoring lawful refund requests or failing to respond to customers. Very disappointing experience.
These were not sent to an unknown email address. As per your email today… they were sent to an “unmonitored” address. Which is altogether different. Whilst I’m grateful it is now resolved. It would have been simpler to take accountability and not reframe the issue as my error!

I purchased a 3m square metal pergola together with the matching furniture from Blue Diamond in Rake, Hampshire recently. The lady, Sarah, who sold it to me was excellent! She was knowledgeable about the products, friendly and very helpful. She made buying the pergola a real pleasure.

This is one of the best, if not the best garden centres I’ve been to. So much on offer to suit all budgets. The restaurant was very busy showing its popularity but service was quick and efficient. I’m definitely going back, even if it’s not on my doorstep. Love! Love! Love!

Restaurant at Lower Morden gone rapidly downhill. Have lunched here for many years but the last time the value and quality extremely poor. A small round quiche, tasteless, budget style. One lettuce leaf, inedible as brown and limp and a slice of cucumber. Very poor quality and sadly last time using the restaurant. Spoken to some other local people who all say the same, very poor and drastically declined. Like the garden centre and staff.

Had a problem with the parasol I…
Had a problem with the parasol I purchased last summer, so spoke to Steve at my local Blackdown garden centre. I was hoping for some advice but instead Steve arranged a replacement under the warranty. Despite having trouble sourcing one his perseverance paid off and a new one is arriving this week. Thanks Steve, a great service.
Despite all of Steve's good work I am still waiting for the replacement.

My friend and I visited the Blue Diamond garden centre in Moreton in Marsh and had breakfast in the restaurant. We received a friendly welcome and there was a good choice of food. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and the service was great. I had recently bought some garden furniture from here too so went back to chat about some more garden furniture and once again, was so impressed with the knowledge of the lady in charge of that department. The quality of the furniture is second to none, as is the care and attention of all the staff I have had dealings with. I shall definitely return

Brilliant Beckworth…
We visited Beckworth for lunch and also to buy a couple of things from the garden centre, the service and food were excellent, we found exactly what we needed from the garden centre with a little help from a very friendly, polite assistant. We would highly recommend Blue Diamond, both the restaurant and the Garden centre, great products, well maintained, very happy customers, thank you to all who made our visit so pleasant.
