Very poor fitting of hearing aids
The consultation was rushed - I found out later it should have been 45 minutes minimum but was only 30mins. The audiologist was very directive and not helpful. The app was installed on my phone without my involvement - I had to insist to be shown how to install it. I was given very little information about how to work the hearing aids and told to look at the videos on the app. I asked for phone calls not to come through into my ears and was told there is no choice! The consultation ended abruptly when I was told the audiologist was running late and should have left 5 mins ago! I’ve decided not to use the aids until a proper fitting is done, now arranged with a senior audiologist at another branch. This has all been reported to Boots Customer Service, who have apologised and organised the new fitting.

Pressurised sales
I have been a loyal customer of Boots Hearing Care for approx 10 years. The audiologists are always pleasant and efficient but I have noticed an increasing level of pressure being put on me to buy new, top of the range hearing aids even though this time my hearing has not deteriorated significantly and has actually improved in some areas. This confirmed to me that the bleep hearing test is only reflective of how hard I concentrate at the time so inevitably varies from appointment to appointment. I appreciate this is a profit making business but I felt uncomfortable. The link between
hearing loss and dementia and Alzheimers was emphasied twice and it felt manipulative and could have scared another patient into making a purchase of 3k+ there and then. *UPDATE 12.6.24 I'm still awaiting your response.

How to destroy customer trust and relationships
In November last year, I went for a hearing test and found that I needed a hearing aid. I looked at all the models and was inclined to go for the most expensive with all the bells and whistles because it was advertised as Interest-free Finance. Today I went in and was told the Interest-free finance no longer applied. I gulped as I carefully budget my money and relied on the original figures. But I thought it was my health so reluctantly went for the 9.9% finance. This was declined on spurious grounds because Boots go through a Mafia criminal gang Finance Company. Boots need to sort out the companies they deal with and concentrate on honouring their promises to their customers! I persevered and tried to sort it out in the shop for one hour - the audiologist was most patient and helpful - but Boots Management need to take a careful look at who they do business with - it's certainly not prioritising valuable customers! BTW I have just checked my Credit score on Experian, it is 973 = EXCELLENT. What is wrong with your systems???
