As a long-term patron of Boots Bridgwater, I have historically enjoyed excellent service, but my recent visit regarding support for my ongoing treatment was unsatisfactory. Upon arriving, I observed a staff member who appeared distracted by her mobile device rather than focusing on customer service. When I requested assistance, she seemed uninterested and declined to help, stating that she could not verify the lens strength because my glasses were not purchased at that location, further claiming that it would be illegal to do so. When I explained that these were the only glasses I could see through following cataract surgery within the last 24 hours and that I needed ready readers for the next six weeks, the interaction became hostile; the staff member spoke to me disrespectfully, suggested that I should communicate more clearly, and accused me of being rude because I challenged her behaviour.

Boots Bridgwater, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be utilising your optician services.

While I understand there are two sides to every story, I did not expect such unprofessional behavior.

Unprofessional staff. They misspelled my address and contact details, and I waited a very long time for my glasses without being notified when they were ready, even though I needed them urgently for work. I was told that if I was unhappy with them, I could get them changed. I did so, but they refused to help. Horrible experience. Never again!

Kylie made our experience great today at Bracknell branch. She is very competent when dealing with children who want to try contact lenses. She was innovative in exploring techniques for teaching my grandson to use them successfully and very patient. Kylie kept the mood light and soon developed a good rapport with us both. Thank you!

Thank you to all the staff at Barnsley Boots opticians for the care & attention given to my elderly mum. She was very apprehensive but everyone made her feel totally at ease & well looked after. She enjoyed the whole experience and thanks to Simon she came away with some very stylish & comfortable new glasses.

Attended Stirling Boots Opticians for routine check. Had dealings with three members of staff and each one was kind, courteous and thorough.

No privacy no respect for asking personal and sensitive data in ear shot if anyone in the shop. The guy next to me knew my dob / address / telephone number / was I diabetic !!! Then asked to sign a pad for GDPR which is a joke given all my data was shared in the shop . Appalling lack of privacy and not on come on Boots ! I work in health care

They were all very professional and I was treated well by all the team

Very prompt attention. Eye test smooth and efficient. Optician took my concern that I had splashed disinfectant into my eye very seriously. Investigated thoroughly, including looking up the chemical to see how dangerous it was, and looking into eye very carefully.

The overall service of the staff, from the optometrist Shainaz Kasker, and the receptionist Lucy was exceptional quality.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Wrong astigmatism prescription - didn’t fit me. Went in to get it changed (optician agreed the previous optician had got it completely wrong). Then wrong box of lenses arrives (wrong prescription per eye. Go into the Kensington store to get some back up lenses. Have to call three times (awful customer service - told they’ll call me back and never do) and eventually visit in person to get an answer as to whether they’ve arrived - they were never ordered despite me being there in person when they supposedly ordered them. Now waiting to see if the second order arrives to collect (4 visits to the optician when it should have been 1). I cannot describe how unhelpful the store have been - everyone is nice but incapable of doing what they say they do. Only excuse is the system changeover is the problem as no one can ever access it. Appalling that boots have rolled out an IT system that is actively making me want to leave as a customer after 15 years with them,

I have been going to Boots Opticians, Leamington Spa, for 20+ years and the service has always been great

I want to particularly call out Neil on this occasion. This time he worked with Marianne (brilliant optician - always a smile and explains everything) for my contact lenses and addressed the measuring, ordering and fitting of my variafocal glasses.

This is the first time I can remember feeling comfortable with the fitting of a new pair of glasses ... Neil did not rush with any detail of the service.

Just wanted to mention Cassidy at Boots Opticians in New Milton. I popped in last week as one of the plastic nose pads on my glasses ( bought from Boots , Armani brand ), had fallen out. She kindly and quickly repaired them on the spot for me and there was no charge. She was very polite, helpful and efficient and a great credit to herself and her store. Thank you Cassidy for your great , friendly service.
