Two appointments cancelled at short notice. Not trustworthy.
I made an appointment at the Perth branch for a 75 minute hearing test on 15th October at 2pm. A few days prior to the appointment I received an email informing me that the appointment was cancelled and I would be contacted to arrange a new one. Nobody contacted me so I went online and made a new appointment for 28th October at 2pm. This morning (27th October) I received an email cancelling my appointment yet again! Twice I've made arrangements for someone to dog sit for me, twice I've had to cancel them and inconvenience them as well. Whilst I appreciate these things happen, it's not my problem to resolve, it's Boots problem and quite frankly it's poor customer service. Based on the service so far I will not be using Boots Hearingcare; it does not bode well for future care or if one has problems that require immediate attention. Hearing aids are not cheap, they are an investment which can cost over £2000. I am not prepared to put my trust in someone who keeps letting me down.

Excellent experience
Had our 2nd appointment in Boots Perth with Darren today, my 89 year old mother was getting tested and fitted for her first pair of hearing aids. Darren was extremely professional and thourgh, he took his time to full explain every step for my mother, who sometimes takes a little longer to process things due to her age, Darren was patient and understanding and made the whole experience much easier for my mother. So far she is very happy with her new hearing aids which she found easy to insert and find them comfortable to wear.

It was straight into “These are the make and models I’d recommend, these are the differences - which do you want to buy?”

Plenty of information, very professional. Only offered me one brand of (expensive) hearing aid

I went for my first visit to Boots hearing in Perth on the 9th January. Found the experience very interesting and I was looking to my second appoiontment scheduled for the 15th January.
This was a more detailed examination expertly carried out by Ross Duguid. Ross explained the results in great detail and then advised me of the options that were open to me for consideration. I was given a written note of options and detailed costs involved. This information was very clead and precise.
Communication
The man in the Perth store was great.
However my appointment from Wales office arrived 10 days after I had been !!
That’s not great support and he wondered at the time why didn’t have the form included in appointment letter!!

poor customer service
Told I needed a hearing aid and forked out £2.5 k, never helped at all and when queried why it didn’t help they made adjustments but still no improvement. Asked for refund and was ignored. Poor customer service.
Boots customer service replied saying they would contact me, provided my contact details over a month ago and still no contact from them.
