Went for a school trip, had a great day out, staff and kids were in awe of the statues. Reception were helpful. Will definitley be back again

Purchased a set of metal painted flowers online they arrived in poor condition already rusting and stems not fitting correctly.

Poor customer, poor quality products, rude staff, poor communication.

Would never use again.

Visited today with a party of 41 from Llansannan, Conwy.
Met by Catrin and she greeted us in Welsh. Had a great time with 2 buggies hired for the less abled. Food was lovely in the caffe. All members enjoyed this visit

Amazing place, staff were super friendly and food is amazing!

We had an amazing time at the British Ironworks Centre during our recent visit. There is so much to do and see and the children loved seeing all the sculptures. The train ride around the park was fantastic!

A truly amazing place to visit, unbelievable sculptures and the birth place of the wonderful knife angel. The afternoon tea is one of the best in Shropshire. Very helpful and accommodating staff.

We visited the British Ironwork Centre over the summer and thoroughly enjoyed our day! We went with our two small children and the grandparents, and there was something for everyone to enjoy.

There was so much to see, and the whole place was incredibly colourful and interesting. It was such a lovely walk around the huge park, with every inch filled with exciting and unique sculptures made from iron and metal. The children loved discovering all the different creations, and the grandparents really enjoyed the experience too.

A fantastic day out for all generations, with plenty to explore. We’d definitely recommend a visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve been coming to this centre with my wife and grandchildren over the years. We’ve enjoyed it so much that I’ve now arranged a group visit by my RAF Veterans Association which is based in Telford, Shropshire. We are due to visit on Wednesday 16th September 2026. It’s an amazing place to visit with many and varied fantastic sculptures to see. There’s always something new to discover and it’s the home of the brilliant Knife Angel. They serve excellent food in their cafeteria with outside seating also available. If you’re unable to walk the 70acre site then there are a number of golf type buggies that you can hire. Highly recommend a group visit or a family outing to this fantastic visitor attraction, which offers such great value for money.

I rang to see if the centre had any group discounts as about twenty five of our club members were due to arrive on the same afternoon as a prelude to a weekend of adventurous activities. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and explained the excellent offers available to groups. We are all looking forward to our visit.

Whilst we had a lovely time seeing the sculptures, I was very disappointed to arrive with my family of 5 and see a big sign at the entrance saying ‘No picnics’ .

We came for my little boys 3rd birthday and thought it was a very reasonably priced day out… until we saw we weren’t allowed to take our picnic in. We were forced into buying food there as the carpark was too far away for little legs to walk all the way back to the car for lunch then back again to finish looking at the sculptures. A £28 day turned into a £90 very quickly.

It’s just a way of getting you to buy food from the cafe but what’s happened to families being able to picnic and enjoy a day out at a low price!

Having a young family I am so sick of things costing a fortune or there being a catch when you get there. I want families to be aware of this when planning a day out here.

Visited today with family for cream tea and other eats. Lady on admissions was super helpful. Meals were lovely. Staff very helpful and attentive. Lovely trails of the sculptures which were soooo lifelike. Brilliant unique place.

Lovely day out viewing the amazing sculptures. There's something for everyone here! We will be back in the near future.

Loved the ironworks the sculptures are amazing and interesting. We had the afternoon tea , the sandwiches and chips were excellent however the cakes and scones were stoggy and very heavy
The chocolate tray cake was just sweet. Shame as it looks amazing on pictures. Quite disappointed. But still a good day out

They sell tonnes of ornamental and useful stuff, have a very full jobs board. And they even have Vegan options in a vibrant cafe.
We hired a buggy offering great means to see the whole park and stay cool on a hot day, which we appreciated even though it's somewhat expensive for just two people. However, if you can fill all six seats it'd be way better value. That's a minor gripe really.
I did however have a far meatier problem that I expected, (given my previous experiences of customer services these days and their disclaimers in the terms and conditions) would result in a scripted apology with little or no action. But, The British Ironworks Centre and their agent Chloe, provided a cheerful solution and did did everything possible to sort it. I have never experienced better treatment from a business in my life. Straight through on the initial phone call, quick response via email to assure me and follow through, and clear, friendly communication at every competent step of the way. Brilliant!
The venue itself was very interesting and the sculptures really appealed to people of all ages. So I am glad to have visited and happy for the help getting there.

Ordered stair spindles on Sunday dispatched on Monday received on Tuesday and very happy with product

Product (shoe rack with dalmation decorative metal attachment) does NOT fit together. The screw holes are misaligned. Very dissappointed as was my birthday gift.

Advised British Ironwork Centre by email the same day. After 2 weeks later, 2 emails, and no reply, the company has read this review and are noW refunding in full.

What a shame it takes a review to get emails read and action taken.

We are a W.I. on our summer trip. We arrived in the afternoon as requested, it was a baking hot day and we are not a young bunch, we were glad we had booked buggies to get us around the sculptures.
Everyone had a great day.
The only slight issue on the day was that the cafe was very busy and the only tables free were reserved in 3/4 of an hours time with the wait for lunch we felt under pressure. There were tables available upstairs but we have a number of members with mobility issues.

Visited the Ironworks with a school party of 8 year olds and had a wonderful day. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty to see and the exhibits were fantastic. The superheroes marquee was outstanding- very realistic exhibits and all made from recycled materials. The children had a wonderful time in the African savannah where the animals were located in the grasslands. Very impressive exhibits and on an awe inspiring scale. The knife angel was unbelievably clever. A super day out for children and adults with plenty of cleverly constructed exhibits to see. We can’t wait to return on another visit.

Another wonderful visit. There is always something new to see. Staff welcoming and friendly as always .
