So easy, can’t believe I haven’t done this before.

Dress arrived in very good condition. Sarah is very helpful. Overall great experience with renting.

I was sent an unkept filthy dress from a lender and now I am in a dispute with the lender that it was not okay to send a dirty dress which she also admitted was not okay via messages but will not refund me this is the first and last time I will use this website.

I’ve used ByRotation quite a few times now and I would have said it was a 5* experience until my most recent rental. I have raised my concerns with the ByRotation team who are now ignoring me and have dealt with the issue very poorly. I have plently of evidence to support this.

I rented from one of their most ‘trusted lenders’. I rented a dress for an occasion, I returned the dress and the lender came back to say there was a pull in the dress. Apparently it was unable to be fixed, I couldn’t have been more apologetic I didn’t notice the pull otherwise it would have been mentioned by me. The lender said I would need to pay for the dress in full but that they would send it back to me to keep. This was 9 or 10 weeks ago now. I paid for the dress in full which I had absolutely no issues doing I was very prompt in doing so. £345 down the drain. The dress still hasn’t been sent to me. A number of excuses made by the lender and I was still very patient. The lender couldn’t send me the dress I had paid for but could rent to other people during this time with no issue. They then did send me a dress but it wasn’t the one I sent back, this one had 20-30 pulls on the front of the dress which I disputed. The lender has now admitting to sending the wrong dress by accident, and promised they would send the correct one last week. I have waited long enough for the issue to be resolved and still I’m awaiting the arrival of said dress.

Im really disappointed it has got to this stage, I would say the good experiences I’ve had has been far outweighed by the most recent experience and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use because if something does go wrong they will take the lenders side even after I have evidence of the multiple failings.

Communication with the person who was renting from me was brutal. It was a 6pm pick up, then 630, then 7, then somehow it was 810 pm.

ByRotation should include courier services as part of the fulfillment option to avoid this.

Concept and community is brilliant, and I love being part of it. Have given 4 stars instead of 5 because I find the app really glitchy on android. Frequently freezes and needs to be restarted, which is a bit bit frustrating.

Easy to use and handy service

Great communication and very friendly! The dress fit perfectly, it had even been altered by 2 inches which made it the perfect length for me!! It was like fate!!

Poor communication and poor experience with a rental. This app does not make the pitfalls clear enough, there will always be an element of uncertainty of whether an item will be suitable. The dress I was sent was poorly packaged when sent and as soon as I realised it was unsuitable I messaged the renter to let them know and provided photos but had no response. I sent them item back the very next morning by the same delivery method but packaged in a more suitable attire fit for such an expensive dress. There was never a response from them. I added all tracking details to the app but there is no way for the app to acknowledge this so I was still getting notifications to send the item back on the day it was due back if I’d had kept it for the whole rental period. If you use this service you are trapped and could pay over £100 for a rental you never wear and no refund upon return as it’s the renters discretion, even if they did accept a return you will be given by rotation credits which is no good in a last minute situation for an event that you wanted to use the service for in the first place. Be aware and don’t fall into the trap.

By rotation is so easy to use and a great platform to manage rentals and sales! I’ve only had one issue with a renter which was very quickly resolved with the support of customer service! Such a fantastic concept and experience, renting my dress has never been easier

My second time renting with by rotation and really happy with my experiences both times. The process is easy and I would highly recommend it.

I have generally enjoyed using By Rotation over the past few years and have had many positive experiences, which is why this recent experience was so disappointing.

I have built up 17 five-star reviews as a lender and have always tried to communicate professionally and follow the platform's guidance. Unfortunately, when I encountered my first difficult rental involving a late return, poor communication, and a lack of timely tracking information for a high-value item, I felt the support available for lenders could have been stronger.

Whilst I acknowledge that, in hindsight, some of my own communications became more frequent than they should have, they were driven by genuine concern over the whereabouts of a £1,200 dress with significant sentimental value. I made efforts to resolve the matter by reducing the outstanding charges in line with a compromise, yet the experience became unnecessarily stressful.

I still believe By Rotation is a fantastic concept and have had many successful rentals over the years. However, I hope the platform continues to improve its support for lenders during disputes, particularly where valuable items, late returns and poor communication are involved. Clearer guidance and more proactive intervention from customer support would make a significant difference.

Overall, my previous experiences have been positive, but this situation has left me disappointed with how the dispute process has been handled.

Rented a dress from a seller on here and it came smelling of a curry aroma so I returned it the same day within 24hrs. I eventually convinced them to give me a refund but they won’t refund to my bank they’ve told me I need to keep the store credits. They must be having cash flow issues as 99% of businesses in the UK refund you back to your card and now my money is being held hostage.

Arrived on time, dress was in great condition, great communication
