Disorganization and Lack of Responsiveness – Cherry Opal Project
The Cherry Opal project team at OneForma is, without exaggeration, the most disorganized and disrespectful team I’ve worked with across all the projects I’ve participated in at Centific.
Initially, they created dedicated communication groups on Microsoft Teams for each locale. Shortly after, they decided to abandon those groups and move to a new communication method via Global Query. Contributors were then required to submit tickets and wait several days just to receive a response.
Then the project was transferred to a new team. This new team no longer monitors or responds to Global Query tickets, yet there was never any official communication informing contributors that this channel had been discontinued.
Instead, they just simply instructed us to direct all inquiries to a newly created email address. However, emails sent to this mailbox are rarely, if ever, answered. At the same time, the team continues to send frequent notifications about lengthy online training sessions scheduled at their convenience, along with recordings and guideline updates.
What’s missing is basic responsiveness. Contributors’ questions and concerns are consistently ignored.
OneForma, please escalate this message to the Cherry Opal project team. This level of disorganization and lack of respect for contributors is unacceptable.
This company triExcessive Unpaid Work & Minimal Compensationes to pay contractors…
This company tries to pay contractors as minimum as possible, too greedy. Even though they secure big contracts with giant tech companies, they will still try all possible ways to pay their hard-working contractors the minimum: no pay for certifications, no pay for constantly studying updated guidelines, no pay for attending endless lengthy online trainings/meetings, no pay for reading endless email updates from project teams, no pay for assessment/trial tasks, etc. On top of that, the hourly rate or fixed rate per task is almost the lowest in the market, and you even have to bear the transaction fee when receiving your monthly payment via Tipalti.
Contributors Should Not Have to Pay Tipalti Transaction Fees
One concern I have is that contributors are required to bear the transaction fees when receiving payment through Tipalti. In my opinion, this is unfair to workers. The payments we receive are already the result of significant effort and time.
Beyond the actual billable tasks, contributors also spend many unpaid hours on training, studying lengthy guidelines, attending meetings, reviewing project updates, discussing edge cases, and clarifying instructions. All of this work is necessary to maintain quality, yet it is not compensated.
Given this reality, asking contributors to also cover the payment processing fees further reduces an already modest rate. It would be more responsible and respectful for the company to absorb the Tipalti transaction fees, rather than passing them on to contributors.
After all, the contributors are the ones doing the work that enables these projects to exist. Fair payment practices, including covering transfer fees, would go a long way toward showing appreciation for the people who make the work possible.

Centific’s Hidden Problems: Payments, Support Failures, and Exploitative Practices
I’m an active contributor at OneForma. I landed my very first humble project there in early April 2024, and since then I’ve continuously been invited to more and more projects. Up to now, I’ve been an active contributor for 1 year and 10 months. Although most of my experience with OneForma has been pleasant, there are several aspects and practices that I strongly dislike about working with them.
First of all, crowdsourcing platforms like OneForma should adopt more payment methods. As of today, Payoneer is the only way contributors can receive their monthly payouts. I know that a very limited group of contributors are offered Trolley (Payment Rails), but only if they’re located in places where Payoneer doesn’t operate. Come on, you cannot expect everyone to have an active Payoneer account. Payoneer accounts run into issues all the time. Mine was once placed under review for days, and I was extremely frustrated at the thought that I might not be able to receive payments from OneForma if Payoneer decided to suspend my account. If OneForma wants to reduce its accounting workload, then at least partner with a more flexible provider like Deel or Airtime. Those platforms allow multiple withdrawal methods so contractors can choose what works for them, while Payoneer only allows bank withdrawals and bans accounts out of nowhere.
Second, OneForma’s customer support is zero, absolutely zero. I have never seen a platform with worse customer support than OneForma. Maybe it’s time to spend less on PR and marketing and dedicate more budget to actual support. Your contributors are the ones making you money, building your whole empire, yet you completely ignore their requests, tickets, and concerns. It’s nearly impossible to get hold of someone inside the company for issues like payment methods or technical problems. I once emailed their dedicated support address to ask for an alternative payment method and was completely ghosted. And despite claiming to be a pioneer in AI training, their AI chatbot is dumb as hell, no cap. Trying to get in touch with OneForma is a nightmare.
Third, they use location-based pay rates that offer only $3–$5/hour to contributors in developing countries, even when the project is for giant corporations. This practice of paying pennies while expecting contributors to commit 20–40+ hours per week, 4–8 hours per day just to keep up with the workload and deadlines has become extremely common at OneForma. On top of that, contributors are expected to attend unpaid trainings and project meetings, spend endless unpaid hours reading and memorizing hundreds of pages of guidelines, constant updates, and new documents, stay available to monitor messages and announcements in project channels and emails, and jump on tasks immediately as soon as they appear. Come on, guys. Know your worth and decline those disgusting, disrespectful rates and practices immediately. Do not start a race to the bottom.
This company does not pay you
This company does not pay you.
The title said it. I applied job as data Annotator under Polly Centific via OneForma project freelance work. I started my from since Sept until this month, supposedly they have to pay based on how many hour I work. Tried to reach their employee for 3 time, they haven't respond for my salary inquiry via email. I have read their Payment rule, seem they didn't adhere. Possibly this company has integrity issue with payment, could be consider as scam. Please avoid this company, stop wasting your effort and time.
Worked a Month for Nothing — Stay Away from the Polly Project
I worked on the Polly Project under Centific — easily one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had.
Even taking a sip of water counts as “inactive time,” and if it goes over 10%, you get warning emails.
Then, without any proof or clear reason, they removed me from the project and refused to pay a full month of work.
I followed every rule, worked seriously, and they just erased it all.
Don’t waste your time — this project is a trap.
Centific makes up excuses not to pay
I worked on a project through a translation agency for Centific on the OneForma platform. Some of my work was rejected by a reviewer, which I disproved and a NEUTRAL arbiter decided in my favor. I got paid for my work.
Then on a second project, I got a message from my PM that my work was low-quality, without any proof, without any explanation and without the possibility of a neutral arbiter this time. I got paid for half of my work. And this is a translator with 11 years of experience and over 4 million translated words speaking.
I still get messages from various agencies to work on OneForma. Stay away from them.
Scammmm
They closed my account for no reason. Without proving anything, they blocked me from the site. I worked so hard, but instead of paying me, they made up excuses and did this! I can’t get my money. They don’t reply to my emails or messages. You run a freelance job site full of users, yet you don’t even bother to answer them! How can anyone trust such a site? Stay away from this site at all costs!
THEY DO NOT PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES, THEY SHOULD BE IN JAIL
Centific owns OneForma and is fully responsible for the disastrous freelancer experience on this platform. Despite having valid POs and submitting payment details well before deadlines, OneForma’s system blocked invoice submissions during the official window — PREVENTING PAYMENT
What’s worse, Centific has shown zero accountability or urgency. Support is non-existent, emails bounce, and repeated attempts to escalate have been ignored. Freelancers rely on timely payments to survive, yet Centific treats us like an afterthought.
This negligence and lack of transparency are unacceptable. If Centific wants to retain freelancers, they need to fix OneForma’s broken systems immediately and provide real, responsive support — not silence.

I started getting suspicious
I came here when I started getting suspicious about its legitimacy. And I am glad I did.
My first suspicion was the fact that the emails were sent from Mainland China. Secondly, the emails were full of grammatical errors: a low level mistake for an AI company. Thirdly, the "lessons" felt pointless and don't seem to have a point.
All the opinions here are reliable
All the opinions here are reliable, judging from my experience. I wanted to get a rating job with them. Endless exams, no view into your score or a way to analyze your mistakes and in the end a system malfunction that cleared my score with no compensation and very little compensation (if any, as it is proceeded via payoneer). It took two months of my life away, one of the biggest scams I have personally witnessed.
Katastrophe!
Unfassbar schlechtes Unternehmen.

Highly suspicious. Not yet sign up for any jobs, but the location of the business (in US) and the top leaders (Chinese and Indians) make this company highly questionable. Be careful. The privacy contract looks so amazing that I almost got conned.

Pitaya AI, give you all you need.
Pitaya AI, formerly known as Centific and Oneforma, is an leading AI starting up company in India, they provide good work life balance in my part time job opportunities.
-- Huge amount of work, not following the sprint rules
-- Forced to work on Weekends
-- No clarity is given on User Stories, even clients are unaware
-- Pathetic work life balance.
-- Creative pressure from the management
-- You will feel guilty in taking leaves as if you have asked for a favour
-- One man giving all technical directions and interfere in all areas.
-- Too much micromanagement. VP of the company does code reviews. LOL.
-- Talented people who has the potential to get jobs elsewhere do not stay here for long.
-- You will get work beyond your core skill and would get judged.
Not only do they pay laughably little
Not only do they pay laughably little, they also require you to be paid via payoneer, which is just another scam that is skimming of 3% of everything you withdraw, with arbitral withdrawal minimums and also a 30USD/year account fee, that is all taken out of your earnings.
Word count per "hit" on the translation protects vary a lot and are most of the time not worth even starting for, they will not respond to any inquiries you have. It is most likely a scam for translators in dire need of work, not worth it in my opinion.
