Lathe I ordered came in resealed box
Lathe I ordered came in resealed box, damage to paintwork on frame and a very noisy and stuttering motor. Returned for refund, which I am STILL waiting for.

Machine looks good, very bad delivery service.
When to machine finally arrived after a bit of a hitch with a disconnected wire I got the Lathe working. I have not yet had time to test it under load but so far it looks good. Royal Mail let us down with their delivery time as it took 6 full days to arrive, the two boxes were delivered on separate days.

Excellent customer service
I own a dust extractor for wood turning by Charnwood - tow of the screws that hold the motor in place had dropped out and became lost - I contacted them via their enquiries page and Alex answered rapidly. following that contact, he sent out to me the replacement screws. This was excellent customer service and most appreciated

Speedy delivery
First thing in the morning, after I put my order in, Charnwood called me up to arrange delivery.
It was a big item (70+ kg) but they delivered it two days later and it arrived, well packaged and without damage.
