CityLit really need to sort out the problems with Google Classroom. I've been to a number of courses and always the problem with many students is accessing course material. The IT Dept should be ashamed of themselves for making signing up to Classroom so tortuous. And there is hopeless assistance provided by City Lit IT

The tutors are good / enthusiastic but they are let down by a terrible IT system. It does not work well with Google classroom and many people are unable to log on effectively and collect homework guidance etc . I spend more time in the library trying to get signed in with help from the lovely librarian

Signed for Hindi beginner Level 1 3 months ago. Received an emai, the course is starting in 3 days time. Then on the same day, get an email saying the course is cancelled.

Offered an alternative to same course on a different date/time , which started 3 weeks ago, not suitable as I would be starting mid-way. Or start in January but no guarantee that this course would take place.

They should have reached out earlier and offered the same course which started 3 weeks ago. I.e. merged the two same courses into one.

Excellent tutor on my Latin Course. Superb knowledge and provision of background material makes the class so interesting. Even though it is a level 5 class we have opportunities for revision of grammar which we have covered previously and which has proved most useful. Now looking forward to the new term and new texts.

I made an inquiry today and spoke to a lady by the name of Courtney. She was so helpful. I have been trying all day to find a suitable course. Everywhere else I tried, the people were so unhelpful. I just want to tank Courtney for helping and guiding me in the right direction. Your people skills are impeccable. I understand that you have not been in position long, from our conversation today. On that note I wish you all the best and a big thank you for all of your help, time and patience today. You are an asset to City Lit.

I've completed three terms of the Beginners Latin course - and I can't wait till we start back again in October!

Sarah, the tutor, is absolutely superb. She makes learning the language great fun, but we are given a very thorough grounding in all the necessary grammar. The course is just the right pace for me, and I always feel able to ask any questions I need to. There is quite a lot of homework to do if you want to get the most out of the course, but I actually enjoy this, as it gives me a chance to consolidate what I've learnt in the classes.

It's great being able to study from home and I've found everyone involved in the admin of the course very helpful. It was very easy to enrol, and the course is excellent value for money.

Now that I'm retired, t's just so good to be using my brain again in a friendly, supportive environment.

I completed Level 1 of the Pronunciation course. The teacher, Mr David Gwillim, was simply great and extremely professional. I learnt a lot; the lessons were always friendly and challenging, never boring. I can't wait for level 2!

The tutoring on my course is inspiring. instructive, challenging and creative. The course is always fully booked. However, in the 3 years I have been attending City Lit the equipment has not been maintained or upgraded. The chops or bench-top vices need to be re-furbished with leather padded ends and steel rods which do not drop out of the screws; the fixed bench vices need maintenance so that they open fully and close properly. The tools need to be professionally sharpened more often.
The College cannot expect wonderful tutors to work easily without equipment being upgraded and maintained.

The Saturday full-day course Excel: tricks and tips for productivity was excellent. Clear comprehensive instructions, well-paced, plenty of opportunity for practice. And a really enjoyable day too! Thanks to Aurica Jalba for a great course. (And thanks to the writers of the description – the course level was spot on, as described.)

I thoroughly enjoy all of the courses that I have done and I always learn what I want to know.

Fantastic asset to London - over the years I've saved up to do a number of courses, either for work or fun, and always enjoyed them.

My first course at City Lit. It was welcoming, the tuition was superb and I will return.

I had several tutors during my Level 3 Counselling Course, which add value to the experience. Although the course was demanding and we had to work hard to complete the assignments and the portfolio, it was a very good experience and that only helped the group to bond. I learned a lot from the course and I would not have complete it if it was not for the support I received form the tutors.

The course was well run and organise.The class were fully involveded and the content was varied and interesting for our writing.

I feel our tutor's knowledge and use of a wide range of Latin materials makes for a very interesting and demanding course. We learn so much history and we can go over again and again any grammar we find difficult, or have forgotten. I can't believe how quickly a lesson and academic year whizzes by. I would highly recommend City Lit for the knowledge of their tutors and the wide range of courses on offer.

I have really enjoyed the drawing and painting courses at City Lit. The teaching is very good with a friendly and encouraging environment. I would definately recommend

Citylit is a great place to study and meet new people. I have done 3 art history courses in the last year and the quality of the course material and the teaching has been superb.

Not good. I am 💯 sure I am ready for FS English Level 2, tutor told I can do level 2 than offer me leve 1.
Admin constantly sending wrong information and it is completely disoriented.
Most teachers seen self possessed and not very good vibes there from English teachers.
It not worth it paid or unpaid courses. Don’t spend valuable time in places where no respect.

City Lit offers a wide selection of online and in person courses in a wide variety of disciplines. The tutors are always incredibly well prepared and are all on top of their subjects. Lectures are as good if not better than some university equivalents, informative, entertaining, motivating. You just keep wanting to go back for more!
