The courses offered are invariably interesting, well taught and well supported. Although I live outside London, it is a pleasure to travel in and join others face to face in the everlasting learning process.

I did the Irish course and loved it and the tutor who was brilliant. My only complaint would be the numbers of students who were often down to 2/3 in a session and on two occasions it ended up just being me. An hour and a half for 1 person or even 2/3 is too much, an hour would be sufficient otherwise it is difficult to maintain concentration. If I wanted a 1 to 1 session I would go with a private tutor who would tailor it for my strengths and weaknesses not as in a general group and it would only be for 1 hour. I think the Tutor did a brilliant job under the circumstances. Unfortunately we don't know how many have signed on until it's too late which means I will have to think hard before I sign up again. Can't fault the admin, the course resources and the tutor just the very low number of students.

City Lit is an inclusive and friendly environment in which to learn. It is well organised and professional as well as being accommodating in unusual circumstances. I have thoroughly enjoyed my classes and will be continuing with these.

Courses and tutors are very good. I particularly enjoyed and benefited from the Pentatonics short course.
The facilities are modern and always clean and there is usually a cafe open downstairs. Nice friendly atmosphere and very reasonably priced courses.

I thoroughly enjoyed the various VA courses this academic year.
College, tutors and facilities gave me a chance to improve some of my creativity skills, and in general it feels like I learnt new artistic methods and technics in the different fields I was interested to explore. The overall academic environment as usual succeeded my expectations. Therefore, I will recommend Citylit to anyone interested in further learning.

I have done a number of courses at City Lit: wind ensemble, singing, flamenco, wetlands, Spanish, art history etc. All have been by enthusiastic and well- informed experts, all very supportive and friendly. We are so fortunate to have this facility in London, with a wide variety of accessible courses in a central location. Long may it continue!

Excellent teacher and very nice classmates

The tutor teaches very well, moresso there's always a room for questions. After teaching a part the tutor always asked questions to make sure we all understood what he as been teaching. He always takes his time to explain to our own understanding .in conclusion he's so friendly.

I have really enjoyed the Advanced Figure and Portrait course and the Anatomical Life Drawing course. The quality of the teaching is excellent. There is a lot of attention for individual students and learning as a group has been very supportive and enjoyable. The studio and equipment is good. City Lit provides a great range of courses and I like that it is in a purpose-built building. My only complaint is that the café is not open at weekends.

Excellent tutor!
He knew his material.
He gave us mind blowing access to historical documents and archives relevant to the course.
He itemised a couple of links per week that were discussed in small and large groups.
My husband had been a journalist in the Vietnam war and thoroughly enjoyed hearing of it now.
A good course! I shall check out the tutor’s future courses.

I think my teacher was excellent and always taught my co-students and me very well in her classes

Whilst I have had good experience in the past, I was disappointed that my latest course (Modern Greek beginners module 3) was cancelled very shortly before the date it was due to start - due to lack of interest - and there was no suggestion made as to which other course might be suitable instead or for a conversation with a tutor for example; it was in effect treated like a purchase of a discontinued appliance rather than a part of an individual's continued learning plan.

I have tried some taster classes, all have been a rewarding experience. My recent weekend course I loved, Mono Print, great teacher good facilities, friendly class. Achieved a lot in the time!

Just completed a 'Meditation De-mystified and Made Easy' online course. Very good indeed - and a lovely tutor leading the classes. Thank you.

I have studied many courses at City Lit and continue to: making jewellery, acting, salsa and more - and all the teachers have been great and have provided me with new learning experiences. If ever there have been small glitches, the teams there have quickly cleared up any issues and kept me happy. I can strongly recommend studying there.

On line course with fabulous tutor Penny. Allows me to fit in passion writing without having to travel and return from central London. What an utter disaster that the courses are now in person and in London. Feel super strongly that you have misread this market. Lenore

I really enjoyed the stage combat unarmed course

I have been studying Japanese from a beginner for three years now. I've had two tutors, one online in the early years and face to face since then. Both tutors were/are excellent. For a language I'd recommend face to face if you can, not only do you have better interaction with the tutor you also build up a relationship with your classmates. I've noted some other comments but can honestly say I haven't had any bad experiences and don't find CityLit at all woke (something I detest so would notice).
