I telephoned Clifton Cameras with questions about a scope I wanted to purchase. Laura answered my call and was very helpful, knowledgeably answering all my questions and checked I was purchasing the correct items for my needs.

She found all the items I'd asked for and emailed me a link with them all set out so I could complete my purchase. ( all at a great price as well).

I received my scope the next day via DPD (always first class delivery) and am very happy with my purchase.

I don't think in all my years of buying camera and optical equipment I have ever had such good service. Clifton Cameras will be the first place I look next time I purchase equipment.

I purchased a pair of Swarovski cl 7x21 pocket binoculars on Friday. They were delivered by DPD the next day. I initially thought Clifton must have sent the wrong binoculars because the package was very large and the binoculars are tiny. But there was so much bubble wrap that Clifton had to use a much larger box to ensure that there was no possibility of damage. A fantastic service and wonderful binoculars.

I lost the objective lens cover from my Swarovski binoculars. The only replacement I could find online was from America from which I would have to pay the cost of the lens cover and shipping. I contacted Clifton Cameras from whom I purchased the binoculars, who told me that they could supply the lens cover and, because the binoculars were still under cover, free of charge. Particular mention needs to go to Rupert, The Photographic Sales Advisor, who handled everything and who kept me updated by emails throughout the process. His after-sales service upholds the great advice I received from Clifton Cameras when I originally bought the binoculars.

Ordered a pair of Hawke Frontier ed x 8x32 binoculars, Cliftons were the cheapest online, they also offered free delivery. Arrived the following day and the binoculars were spot on in terms of quality.

I had heard that an item I was interested in was currently discounted. Having had positive experience with Clifton Cameras in the past, I checked for availability on line.

My first contact with the company website had a pop up offering a £10 discount for signing up to receive news and offers. I signed up and duly received an email with a gift code.

I found the discounted lens on the website very easily and added it to my basket and then proceeded to the checkout, only to find that my gift code wasn’t recognised. As there was another pop up for customer service, I messaged that I had a problem. I got a very quick response from Laura suggesting I try again. I did so, but met with the same error. On reporting this to Laura in the chat, she added my gifted discount manually and provided a link to a new basket. From that point onwards, my transaction was completed quickly.

I received several emails about my order soon afterwards and another not much later confirming dispatch.

The above amounted to an excellent purchase experience for me, and I’m guessing, that the gift code was due to the very short period between issue and use.

Bought two Canon lens caps. These are packed in cardboard in a small box 8cms x 8cms. I was charged £4.95 for postage which was the cheapest option. They arrived next day which is great but in a box that was 23cms x 16.5cms x 17cms. Surely they could find a smaller box, save the planet and save me paying almost £5 for postage?

I recently bought a new lens and Tele converter using the part exchange arrangements. Clifton Cameras provided a prompt and responsive service delivered with excellent comms, a strong customer focus and competitive pricing. Happy to return for business in the future.

Pre ordered a Fujifilm x100vi. It was delivered ahead of schedule and extremely well packaged, using DPD as the courier. Fantastic service, with prompt response to emails. Great experience.

Clifton Cameras is a great establishment. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The stock is extensive. I went with the specific intention of buying a field scope. Clifton Cameras managed to get me a neoprene case for my Kowa 553 scope. They were the only UK retailer offering availability to order for this accessory. The cases themselves are expensive but well made. The Kowa european distributor for optics in Düsseldorf as far as I know only ships to Germany, so top marks to Clifton.
