Currys - Carmarthen Reviews 

If I were reviewing the actual product it would have received a lower score. I needed to bring it back for replacement twice. However Andrea who was on the help desk on both occasions was brilliant and is the only reason I've given this 5 stars. This was the Carmarthen branch in West Wales. If the managers see this, Andrea deserves a pat in the back.

My elderly Father brought a faulty Microwave. 4 round trips later (200 miles) and Store Manager refused to refund item as it had passed 28 days but whether its faulty on day 1 or day 101 - faulty is faulty - it NEVER worked properly and kept switching itself off. Absolutely NO ONE in Currys Store & The Manager believed him. Stressed and in desperation, My Father s offered another Currys Colleague to take it home and try it, he also said that he d try and bring his heavy generator down to Currys carpark in his car for them to trial it again. All refused and he was consistently sent home again. On another trip, he was disbelieved again and told to leave it at Currys overnight for testing!? This should have been refunded on his FIRST visit!! He has Copd and the stress caused him chest pain & breatheless because no one believed a nearly 80yr old! He was treated APPALLINGLY! ABSOLUTELY NO ONE CARED! So, I (his daughter) complained to Head Office as I don t want my Father having a heart attack and he also refuses to do another 50mile round trip to pick it up so he just leaves it at Currys and chooses to save out of his pension for another!? Without a refund!? I was so upset for him. Currys were IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of. Because it was brought in store I was shut off a zillion times on telephone automated services saying to take item back to the store but it was the store we were having problems with & Management! So it was impossible to actually TALK to someone and explain!! Eventually my Father receives an email saying he ll get his refund and that the store will ring him. 3wks later - nothing!! So I complain again to receive a reply automated email saying our case was now closed because it was over 10 days old!? Yet we ve still not received the faulty item refund!! So.... I had to open a new case and complain & chase them again! The customer service from Currys has been poor beyond poor beyond poor on how they treated a nearly 80yr old man. We then received another apology that the refund has not been arranged in weeks and that the case is closed. Eventually, 2 days ago, my Father receives a phone call telling him to do ANOTHER 50 MIlES round trip to get the refund!!! - as it can t be done over the phone and that he has to go to the store AGAIN (5th time) to get his money back. Today, eventually, the microwave refund cleared and he s got his money back. It took 3 MONTHS to get the support he needed and his refund. CURRYS WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER SHOP WITH YOU AGAIN!!.... and you gave no consideration or refund/offer of the price of 250 needless round trip miles from my Father s budgeted pension income dealing with a problem that you could have helped and solved & refunded on his FIRST visit!! He s still out of pocket!!!.. and he s spent alot of £1000s of pounds with you over the years but NEVER AGAIN!

Very pleased with our purchases The sales representative, Jonathon- was very helpful and took the time to explain questions asked. He gave us the opportunity to make up our own minds. We left the store having purchased two items. A pleasant experience.

Excellent service usual on a Dyson heater,and a tapo security camera,very quick delivery.

Went to pick on line offer at Carmarthen store, found staff to be unhelpful and quite obstructive in their attitude. Was there between 15 and 20 minutes picking up a £9 sd card. Will never shop there again, always have unessessary hastle.
