Currys - Dundee Reviews 

I went to collect my new MacBook Air and charger at the Dundee store and stood waiting at the collection area for a long time and was basically ignored by the two staff members on the other side of the tills.

A woman finally came over and asked if I was being served and I told her I was still waiting to collect my order. She then asked a man behind the tills to serve me. He slammed down the roll of tape he was using to package up a box and stormed over to me making it extremely awkward. He then asked me for what my order was, looked through a bunch of cabinets and couldn’t find my order.

He apologised for the way he acted but by this point it was too late amd he had ruined my collection experience in store. There was no need for his attitude and the store was practically empty just after 9am in the morning so not sure why he was in such a bad mood.

He then had to call the warehouse to come and give me my order and the man handing it to me looked miserable also. There is either a really bad morale in that store or the staff just do not care.

I wouldn’t have cared so much but I was spending a lot of money on very expensive hardware.

Overall pretty disappointed with the experience and I’ll probably not use curry’s again for a collection.

Alex is what made my experience great, she was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. She helped my partner and I get exactly what we needed and for a very reasonable price too.

The appliance was offered at a competitive price and, as there was only one available, we ordered click and collect. When we went to the store to collect, we gave the order number and proof of purchase before the assistant brought it to us. We didn't have long to wait but it gave us time to browse the store

Store assistant was very helpful in advising what fridges were available for our requirements. Once we agreed on model we needed delivery was easily arranged. The only problem we had was the lack of instructions to change the orientation of the door so we were unable to do it ourselves. We paid to have this done by a local company.

We paid to get a dishwasher installed ,and old one taken away. Immediately after the team had left We realised it wasn’t working. Also the front integrated panel was sitting proud by a half inch. We tried to contact curry’s to get the installers to come back , using both phone and internet. We hit a brick wall. I was told after a ten minute ‘chat’ online that the agent couldn’t help because we had purchased in store. I was told I would have to to go to the store . We did .
I have nothing but praise for the staff member in store, who was able to get the installers to return, turn the water back on, which they forgotten to do, and align the panels.
It surely would be possible for the agent ‘Chatted’ with , who had all our details, to have phoned the store relayed the information , and got the store to phone us. Luckily I live just 10 minutes from the store, am retired and have free time to waste sorting out Curry’s mess.If I lived further away, was working , had children etc not so easy. All that’s needed is a phone call. I’m wondering if it’s part of a policy to discourage buying in store, and force us to buy on line. Then close the stores because of lack of customers?

Very helpful made buying our purchase easy. We are elderly and can be a bit slow in dealing with these things but nothing was too much trouble.

In store service was great but I wasn’t asked if I wanted a time slot for delivery, I tried the customer contact number but could not get through, we chat couldn’t help, had to return to store to arrange a time slot, Kayla was very helpful and sorted everything out
