Do not trust; Feels like a scam.

My first order was placed 2/15/2026, and I received multiple different delivery dates until I received an email saying the dress MIGHT be delivered after the wedding. I had to cancel and buy a quick ship dress, which came missing pieces.

When I ordered my MOB dress everything…

When I ordered my MOB dress everything went well.
However when returned to pick up my granddaughters dress we were not treated well.
The dress was wrinkled.
The associate was not helpful.
She said we could iron it at home.
I said I’m not comfortable doing that.
She left our area.
So I had to find someone else.
She said the bridle shop could steam it for $60
But it took her awhile to arrange that.
And I had to make an ‘Apointment ‘ to pick it up.
You would think they would want their dresses looking immaculate when leaving the store.
The first associate was not really interested in helping .
Very disappointed in your store!!!
This is the store on Upper Wentworth in Hamilton,Ontario.
It seems like when they get your money they do the bare minimum to help you

Caveat emptor....buyer beware

I have never shopped at or considered David's Bridal for a dress. A few weeks ago I was travelling to DC for an event and my bestie suggested the David's Bridal in Bethesda, Maryland. It was a phenomenal experience. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. I bought the perfect dress for my event and felt good about it.

I needed some alterations and went to the David's Bridal in Orange, CT. The alterations department was nice, but the manager of the store is a nightmare. She convinced me to purchase a dress and to sign up for their diamond somebody or other plan. It took her over 30 minutes to check me out. I don't know what she was doing behind the counter because there were people who came after me who were in and out in no time. After trying to pay and feeling uncomfortable, I cancelled the transaction on the pin pad...she did something on her end and all of a sudden the receipt appeared. She gave me a VERY guilty look and I left. The very next day I did a chat with their online customer service. They advised me that I had to go back to the store to cancel my transaction. When I called, that's when I found out the woman who helped me was the store manager. I then called the customer service to file a complaint. At that time, I realized their customer service is offshore and they speak English perfectly but barely understand what is being asked of them. I requested the regional manager contact me....one week later and still nothing. The dress was delivered on Monday. I picked it up and will likely return it.

DELAY DELAY DELAY

I bought a bridesmaid dress at the beginning of February for a wedding happening in August. The dress was supposed to arrive two weeks ago but every time I reached out to they kept moving the date. They finally told me it hadnt been made yet and wouldn’t be here until 7/1. I had been in communication with customer service a few times after that and at one point told me the dress had been delivered?? I had to end up finding a different dress at a local spot and cancel my order.

My wedding was in December of 2025 it’s been four months since then and I have been sitting with my experience. I wish I could give them a 0 star rating because of how unhappy I was with my dress but unfortunately it does not allow you to give a 0 star. And yes I spoke up with how unhappy I was multiple times even tried to take my dress back after that first alteration appt but they refused to give it back even though I was unhappy and everything had been paid they still refused. I will also be posting this to every site I can just in case they delete this.First of all the stylist did a size 2 sizes too big!! When I got it back they had me put it on and I didn’t even need to unzip it to put it on. The top was way way too big to where I was flashing and you could see my breast. The employee who helped me had to hold it together and gather a bunch of extra material so I could see it. I mentioned to her that it’s too big alterations is going to basically redo this dress. I was very unhappy with how it looked and how it looked on me. They had me schedule an alteration appt and I really didn’t want to go through with them bc I knew they were expensive but I thought the alterations employees could fix this dress. Well they didn’t. I had issues with them from the start and once she pinned it I told her it still felt too big I had to continuously hold it together my chest. The waist just felt bulky and you could tell how big it was. Once I came back to do my finally fitting the top felt as though she did nothing to it and the waist look awful bc it was so big. I told her there it was still too big you could see my bra that I was wearing with the dress. She fixed it while I was there but it did nothing!! At this point I was so dissatisfied with my whole experience I was done with her. I had already spend the same amount of money that was spent on the dress. That is ridiculous!!! Especially when you have a bride who is so unhappy. If I could do this over I would never go to them for anything! There is a reason there are class action lawsuits on them. All my pictures from that day you can see how horrible of a job this person did. In pictures you can see what I was wearing underneath the dress my bra would show and I was constantly hold the top to me the entire night of my wedding. If they would have just ordered the correct size and I would not go to them for alterations bc they charge over $500 and there are tons of amazing places you can go to who don’t charge almost the same amount as your dress I also would rethink going to them at all.

Outstanding service

Outstanding service, selection and personal attention. My daughter and I recently visited David's Bridal in Mississauga for the purchase of multiple gowns. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with enthusiasm by several staff members, clearly showing that the staff was delighted to be part of our journey. Alison is an exceptional Bridal Consultant, in her warmth and acute ability to listen respectfully. There was no pressure at all, just levity and humour and her expert design sense to give us exactly what we had been dreaming of. Alison made the experience feel so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The dread and worry had disappeared from us both and Alison attended to every detail, responding with gowns that aligned with our vision. She provided excellent feedback, that was thoughtfully delivered. More importantly, Alison gave us the personal care that made us feel like we were the only ones that mattered. This was very different from our experiences in several other bridal shops. The variety of gowns, appropriate for each and every age group, body type and personality are elegantly displayed. We picked up wedding shoes, bridal PJ's and a variety of adorable bridal items. Lynette is the store Manager and she completely is engaged in the process from beginning to end. She comes by to offer the "Wows" and compliments and has a sincere interest in making sure every client walks away feeling important. Lynette provides an environment where the staff is genuinely happy. This ofcourse translates into the customers feeling excited and valued. Alison and Lynette and all the lovely staff at David's Bridal are to be commended for their superior customer service and for bringing a lightness and happiness to a joyful experience.

Refused Service

I walked in the store 40 min before close. I wasn’t asking for a fitting, I just wanted to look around. I was stopped just inside the door and told that they were going to close and I need to make an appt.. I couldn’t look at anything…
If I saw something I would make an appt but they wouldn’t even let me look around..
they lost my business and I plan to tell everyone not to go there!

horrible plce

vick and Gretchen and i came in the Wolf chase store. We were looking for my wedding dress and my braids maid dresses. We found my dress on sale and it couldn't be returned, which was fine. Gretchen found her dress as well. As they are taking our measurement for the dress. I was making appointments for the 5 other women. It came down to paying for them, I did. WE were also informed to set the alternations appointments parts all together in March, to ensure the dresses would be sent off and back in time. in which we set all the March 21, 2025.The measurement would be free,since we purchased them all there , Today Gretchen goes in for her finally fitting and was told she has to pay 200 plus for her dress. She advised the person no and wants to see a manager and called me on file. Dedbra answered no, its a extra cost. I said No ma'am, Me and my coordinator would have went to another store that offered better a ND reliable services. I asked to return all dresses and she said No. I'm like no, its in the same packages and hasn't been open nor touch. this is horrible and everyone needs to be fired and store closed. When we purchased the dresses it should be told upfront and we should have Not been lied to in the beginning. Matter of fact, just thinking about it, that's why they advised the grils to be size up 1 o 3 sizes

Do not purchase from David’s Bridal.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes (the same pair in 2 different sizes) for a total of $103. When they arrived, both pairs were haphazardly thrown into a box that was way too big, with no protective packaging. As a result, one pair arrived badly scuffed.

The scuffed pair was unfortunately the size that fit. My plan was to return both pairs and reorder a new, undamaged pair in the correct size.

When I contacted customer service, I was told that David’s Bridal does not do exchanges. Instead, I had to return both pairs and place a new order. On top of that, they required me to ship each pair back separately in two different boxes with two different return labels, even though the items were going to the same place and were originally shipped to me together in one box. I thought this was unnecessary, but I followed their instructions. I returned both pairs well within the return window and ordered a new pair in the correct size.

About a week later, I received a refund of only $50, even though I had paid $103. If I return merchandise, I expect to receive my money back with a reasonable deduction for shipping. A 50% deduction is completely unreasonable.

When I contacted customer service again, they told me it was because of shipping fees. I understand a return shipping fee, but they charged me $15 per pair, meaning $30 total (even though I only paid $15 shipping to receive the order in the first place). Because they required me to return the items separately, I was essentially penalized 50% for following their instructions.

I spent two hours chatting with customer support, repeatedly explaining the situation. Instead of resolving the issue, they kept going in circles and seemed unable to understand why I was frustrated.

The most frustrating part of this process was that after chatting with the returns department for about 30 minutes, I was told, “I’m only a stylist and can’t help with this issue.” If that’s the case, why was I connected with this person in the first place and made to spend 30 minutes discussing a returns problem with someone who couldn’t assist?

In the end, they offered to refund the shipping fee for one pair, but even with that adjustment (a measly $15 refund), I still believe I was shorted about $23. By that point, it was about 10:30 PM, and I was exhausted and frustrated from the conversation, so I agreed and ended the chat.

I am still waiting for confirmation that this refund will even be processed. They said they needed their finance team to approve my refund (a whole $15)!

Between the poor packaging, damaged merchandise, confusing return process, and extremely frustrating customer service experience, stay away from David’s Bridal. The returns process feels unfair, and dealing with customer support was a nightmare. Thank goodness I only ordered shoes. I can't imagine ordering a wedding dress or several bridesmaids' dresses from here.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my online order experience.

I ordered a perfume, but instead I received a small candle and some random sample items that I did not order. This was clearly a fulfillment mistake on your end.

Now I am being told that in order to receive a refund, I need to take time out of my day to package and return the incorrect items. This is not my fault, yet I’m expected to waste my time and gas to fix an error made by your company.

When a business ships the wrong product, the responsibility should not fall on the customer to correct it. I paid for a specific item, never received it, and now I’m being inconvenienced further just to get my money back.

This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and I expected much better service.

Beautiful Dresses, Disappointing Service

I ordered two dresses for a formal event and paid $40 for next-business-day delivery to ensure they would both arrive on time. Unfortunately, only one dress was delivered as promised - the other didn’t arrive until several days later. Since I specifically paid for expedited shipping for both items, this was very disappointing.

Attempting to contact customer service has been extremely frustrating. There is no simple way to reply directly to the order confirmation or the numerous review emails they send. I even visited the website to locate the customer service email address and forwarded my previous messages outlining the issue, but I still have not received a response. I also don’t have time to sit on hold for a phone call - there should be a reliable way to resolve issues through email.

I’m giving two stars because the dresses themselves were beautiful and good quality. However, the lack of communication and poor customer service significantly affected my overall experience. Given the shipping delay, I believe the expedited delivery fee should have been reimbursed.

LOST WEDDING DRESS AND VEIL THROUGH DAVIDS BRIDAL CLEANING AND PRESERVATION

I purchased my wedding gown and preservation services through David’s Bridal, never once being clearly informed that my gown would be handled by a third-party preservation company rather than David’s Bridal itself.

That third party ultimately lost my wedding dress and veil after confirmed delivery, and throughout months of back-and-forth, David’s Bridal did nothing to intervene, assist, or offer a solution.

I repeatedly cc’d David’s Bridal customer service and media relations while trying to recover my gown. They remained silent. No advocacy, no escalation, no accommodation—just complete disengagement while their contracted partner handled (and mishandled) the situation.

What is especially troubling is that there are public reviews going back years describing lost wedding gowns involving this same preservation pipeline. Despite this pattern, David’s Bridal continues to route customers to this third party without transparency or accountability.

As of today, my wedding gown—worth approximately $5,000—and my sentimental veil are still missing, and David’s Bridal has offered no resolution of any kind.

A company that positions itself as a steward of once-in-a-lifetime moments should not outsource responsibility and disappear when something goes wrong.

LaShawn Walker from the Woodbridge…

LaShawn Walker from the Woodbridge store was such a big help with finding my dress as a mature bride. suggesting the beautiful cape/shawl and belt added a special and elegant touch. She went above and beyond ensuring the alterations and steaming of the dress was honored according to your website that all was inclusive to the price paid. the customer Service was professional and above my expectations. Thank you so much for making my day special!!!

More than 7 bridesmaid had their order cancelled!

David's Bridal is not a trustworthy site to buy dresses. We have a wedding on January and the delivery date for most of the bridesmaid dresses were for mid December. Around late November and early December each order was cancelled. I checked the website but they still appear as available. It has been too big of an inconvenience to just leave be. This should not happen.

Superb service

Came in to David’s Bridal at the Altamonte mall, FL just to browse while a friend was parking a car, wasn’t really planning to shop there, was going to go to the big store next door to get a dress for the formal party.
I was pleasantly surprised by friendly and welcoming staff , it drawn me in to look around.
Shortly afterwards sales person Morgan M. started advising, pointing me into possibly suitable selection, and I ended up trying on a few options and walked out with the purchase!
Morgan was super knowledgeable, so friendly and had such a good eye! She is an amazing sales person , a true gem in the retail industry. Thank you!

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased a dress online and when it arrived I decided it wasn’t the one for me so I returned it. The return process is horrible. 3 calls where I waited over 1 1/2 hours and it took over a month to get my money back from the time I returned the dress. My daughter was going to order 7 bridesmaid dresses fro
there and I told her my experience and they are going somewhere else. So disappointing.

Terrible service

Never shop here for a bridesmaid's dress or a Jacket (Bolero) for a dress. I had a bad experience with them. When I went to exchange the dress because the dress was too tight told the girl in cashier she making up some excuses bcuz she dont' have dress i just need to exchange and she wants to to go to cambridge to other location and I said,'' Im not going all the to Cambridge pick it up then i think manager or came and the girl in the cashier decided to exchange. Then I came back to get my (Bolreo)cuz it was in the other bag with a tight dress when I went the two girls dont assist me and denied everything that dress was in the bag in their shipping and receiving and said it's not there they said oh I misplaced or something and she said if you lost it I can ship it to you but you'll have to pick it up in another location but the way she talk to me is very rude and arrogant and two girls don't know what Bolero is till I show the reciept to them. And they never assist; they just stand there. But Still can't find them, so I walked out. I have never 10 yrs in my life seen so much bad customer service and disgusting attitude. They told me before that they're not allowed to sell to customers with dresses. I said, The girl sold it to me. And I don't know it seems like their laughing or hiding something because the other Bolero was in the other bag with that other dress when I exchanged everything. I would not recommend shopping here for any dress because the ladies their very rude and arrogant, and it's discrimination. Don't come here again!

Missing sequins, etc.

I ordered a dress and matching coat online. I noticed some missing sequins near the bottom of the jacket/ coat.
I emailed the online customer service address three times and included a photo of the missing decoration. There were two email addresses and I tried both. I asked if I could have a replacement jacket. I never received an answer.
