This is our 2nd time getting sofa from DFS. The 1st set of sofa lasted for 16 years, and the reason why we bought our sofa from them for the second time was because 1st-we love the their designs, so many designs to choose from( that took us ages to decide which one we wanted). Second- durability, our old sofa was an absolute proof that despite some minor pet scratches & scruffs it still was generally good. 3rd- affordability, their price is so much better compared to other sofa shops we've been and you pay for the price that doesn't sacrifice the quality. On top of it is the 0% interest finance offer, you can pay it for up to 4 years depends on how you want to pay it.
We also wanted to thank and give Michael(sales staff) a two-thumbs and a massive 5 stars for being so nice and helpful. He gave all his time in answering & explaining everything up to the smallest details. He made us feel welcome & comfortable and made sure that we were happy with everything before he placed our order.
I recommended DFS before and I will still do.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with DFS.
We ordered a large electric corner sofa, an electric recliner chair and a footstool in February and waited almost four months for delivery, which finally took place mid June. We were happy to wait for quality furniture, but unfortunately the experience from delivery onwards has been unacceptable.
The two delivery men openly told us it was their first day on the job and neither appeared to know how to assemble the furniture properly. Our £300 footstool arrived with a broken leg and, unbelievably, the suggested solution was to glue it back on. We refused and sent it back.
After the delivery team left, I sat on the corner section of the sofa and it collapsed beneath me because it had been assembled incorrectly. I was left with bruising to my leg and hip and later discovered that a metal support bar had not even been fitted. Given that I have a two-year-old child in the house, this was extremely concerning from a safety perspective.
I immediately contacted DFS and specifically requested an experienced technician to inspect the furniture. Instead, the same delivery team returned. While they corrected the sofa, I then discovered that the electric recliner chair had also been assembled incorrectly.
Since then, I have spent nearly 2 weeks repeatedly contacting DFS for updates. Every call results in promises of call-backs, managers contacting me, or queries being raised, yet nothing actually happens. At this time I am still waiting for someone to come out and properly fix furniture that was incorrectly assembled from day one.
What should have been an exciting delivery after a four-month wait has turned into a frustrating and stressful experience. The quality control, installation process and customer service have all fallen well below what I would expect from a company charging thousands for furniture.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but customers should be aware that if something goes wrong, getting it resolved appears to be incredibly difficult. I am left with damaged furniture, ongoing safety concerns, and no confidence that DFS is treating the situation with the urgency it deserves.
