I have given DFS 3 out of 5 stars because, although I found a sofa I really liked and was able to order it how I wanted, the overall customer service was disappointing.

From the moment I walked into the store, I felt ignored. No one approached me to ask if I needed any help or offer any advice. Once I’d decided on the sofa, I had to go and find a member of staff myself, and they didn’t seem particularly interested in helping.

I also felt like my choices were being questioned, especially when deciding between foam and fibre cushions. I was repeatedly asked if I was sure I wanted fibre because “it’s a lot of work” and that foam would be better. I had already made my decision and felt like I had to keep justifying it, rather than being supported in the choice I wanted.

In the end, we ordered the sofa exactly as we wanted it, which is why I’m not giving a lower rating. However, the whole experience felt like the staff couldn’t really be bothered, and it wasn’t the level of customer service I was expecting.

As soon as I arrived in the store Jamie was available for any questions I had . He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with regards to all the relevant information that I needed in order to choose a sofa. I didn’t feel rushed and he was so helpful and finally brought a sofa after sitting on many and discussing my options with him. Thank you Jamie you are a credit to the company

I was given a masterclass in how to treat a customer today. I visited Swindons branch of DFS to purchase a new sofa and a separate chair. I already knew which chair I wanted so that was a straight forward thing, but there were a lot of nice sofas to choose from. Jason, one of the sales advisors, kindly showed me a selection of sofas that fit my requirements, a 3 seater, firm seats, and must be able to be taken apart. The one I chose first had a really long lead time, and I wanted a faster option, so Jason showed me some sofas that had a much shorter lead time, and fit my timescale. Once I'd chosen, Jason was as professional, knowledgeable, and friendly as the sales advisers of a by gone age... The extra mile makes a real difference.

I am very happy with the kind support and help from Greg. I am so looking forward to using my new furniture. I will definitely be going to the store.

Just wanted to know other people dilvery experience,waited allmost 2 -months for my sofa to be dilvered turned up and driver said it would not fit through my door I have 2 choice we taken it back and your get a refund or leave it there , explained I've got kids and we moved in so got no sofa for them to sit on so went went with option to leave it,called my brother to help and took side box off and fitted through the door 🚪 £129 wasted for dilvery and fitting and take rubbish away.DFS answer today we can't do any refund or partial refund due to dilvery being grey area ...
