Great guidance and patience to talk us through options available. Really appreciated the customer focus

We purchased a table at the cost of £299.00
we were told that we had to pay £20.00 for delivery
so we said we would collect, to be told that we were unable to collect as the item was being delivered direct from the manufacturer. So in actual fact we were unable to purchase the table for the advertised price basically this is a con. Add this to the fact we have to wait 5 weeks for a small side table to be delivered. We were not happy at all with our DFS experience.

• The Perfect Balance: My DFS staff member had that rare skill of being incredibly attentive without being "pushy." They gave us the space to explore the showroom at our own pace but were right there the second we had a question.
• Genuine Expertise: They really knew their stuff. Whether it was explaining the durability of different fabrics or helping us measure up to ensure a perfect fit for our living room, their advice was practical and honest.
• A Stress-Free Process: Shopping for furniture can be overwhelming, but their friendly and professional demeanor made the whole process easy. They stayed patient while we cycled through a dozen different fabric swatches and configurations.
• Total Transparency: They were very clear about delivery lead times and walked us through the protection options without any hard-sell tactics. It felt like they genuinely wanted us to find the right sofa for us, not just make a sale.
The Verdict
The DFS staff member who helped us is an absolute credit to the Tunbridge Wells team. It’s rare to find such high-quality customer service these days, and they made the entire experience a pleasure. We are thrilled with our purchase and couldn't have asked for a better guide.

The staff were so helpful, answered all questions we asked. Went out their way to make us comfortable & let us have our own space to decided which sofa was best for us. They took the time to chat with us & talk us through everything. There was no selling pressure.

Julian was very helpful and professional when we came to purchase our new sofa. After measuring we decided to come back to the showroom rather than buying online and we’re glad we did as we received the personal touch of shopping in person and great customer service to match.

Great experience from start to finish. Unlike some other companies we visited, there was no pressure from pushy sales staff, which made the whole process much more enjoyable. All of our questions were answered confidently and clearly, and we were guided through the different options available to us. We were even offered drinks, which was a nice touch.
I particularly appreciated the care taken to double-check our order, giving us extra peace of mind. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend to friends and family. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name of the person who helped us, but a big thank you to him for making everything so smooth. We’re really excited for our sofa to arrive.

When we purchased our sofa the in store experience was very good. We were told that DFS would email the sales invoice, but all we got was multiple review requests, they did sent us a text with the order number that you have to enter on the website where it only shows the total amount spent and the balance left to pay but not an invoice or breakdown of what each item cost.
We have called customer service twice now & they have promised to send us our invoice detailing each item, but as of eleven days after the order, we have still not received it :-(
As a comparison, we also purchased 2 chairs from SCS on the same day, we were sent an invoice via email and was told that we would get a call from SCS the following day to confirm and go through the order to check that everything was correct. This was a smooth process and all went to plan, so much better than the DFS text saying this is your order number, go to our website? Not impressed!
We can’t comment on the furniture yet as this will be weeks until delivery, although it looks very good in store. MM

Just had the Evelyn 3 piece corner sofa and footstool delivered by the Sofa company it’s a wonderful piece of workmanship and better than I expected sofa company are the best they did a perfect job

Whilst the sofa experience was great instorr, i asked for an itemised bill and i was informed it will be sent to me. I called and its now been over a week and I dont have evidence of this and any estimated time of delivery, so i feel i have to take their word for it that the order is accurate and i have been charged accordingly.
