I visited the store in Lucan today. Eamonn looked after us and gave us all the information I needed to make my purchase. The store was well laid out, clean and tidy. I had a great experience in the store and well looked after by Eamonn.

I purchased a THOR dishwasher from DID Electrical in November 2024. After just 15 months of normal use, it developed a leak and an E4 error and became unusable.
When I contacted DID Lucan in February 2026, they advised they would contact THOR. A few weeks later, I was told THOR would not inspect the appliance because it was outside the manufacturer's one-year warranty. The only reason the warranty was limited to one year was because of a fault completing THOR's online registration process. Regardless, consumer rights under Irish and EU legislation extend beyond a manufacturer's warranty, and a dishwasher should reasonably last far longer than 15 months.
I spent months chasing updates through repeated phone calls. On 1 May 2026, DID Lucan took possession of the dishwasher and advised it would be inspected by THOR or their service agent. Despite numerous follow-ups, I received no meaningful updates. As of 2 June 2026, more than a month later, I still had not received any response from THOR, nor any clear resolution from DID. The dishwasher has now been in DID's possession for over a month.
Most frustratingly, after repeated attempts to obtain updates, the store manager has not responded to any emails or calls.
The only positive aspect of this experience has been Daniel at DID Lucan, who has been professional, helpful, and appears to be making a genuine effort to resolve the issue over the past 2 days.
At the time of writing, I have been without a working dishwasher since February and have received no repair, replacement, refund, or resolution.
The fault itself is disappointing, but the lack of communication, ownership, and urgency from DID has been far more frustrating.
I expected much better support when a major appliance failed.
Overall it was a disappointing experience and non existent after-sales service.

We recently shopped for an air fryer in DID Lucan. My husband spotted salesman whom he’d previously found helpful.
Daniel was indeed a most pleasant and helpful young man. One air fryer which interested us was not out on display so he removed one from the packaging and then allowed us time to make a decision between our final 2 options. He answered all our queries so that we confidently reached a decision on the air fryer which was best suited to our needs.
Based on this pleasant shopping experience, and on previous experiences, I can confidently recommend DID Lucan for purchasing electrical appliances and TVs etc.
