DK were sent by John Lewis to look at the audio problem on my TV. Darren arrived and rather than just report on the issue went ahead and fixed it. Fast, friendly and very efficient.

Camera as new after vendor said just bin it

The company I bought my camera from said that, following a fault after warranty, it wasn’t worth repairing. DKAVS (and I) said it was, £180 restoring a £500 camera to as new. The service was fast - less than a week from me to back. And excellent communication throughout the process. Further warranty too. They’ll tell you if it’s a lost cause too.

Outstanding Customer Service

Richard the engineer came to check the fault on my Panasonic TV .
What a ‘ Pleasure ‘ it was to meet him .
He has second to none Customer Service Skills.

Richard was professional, friendly ,
kind , has empathy, understanding , and the patience of a Saint listening to me talk about the Tele!
I appreciated that he explained what the problem was .

Richard is a natural people person . Anyone who gets to meet him will have a Fantastic Customer Service experience , just like I did .

Not impressive service

I am not too impressed with this Company who were nominated by Panasonic to repair under warrenty a less that 1 year old TV. Nearly 4 weeks after reporting the latest fault (I already have had one new curcuit board fitted) DKAVS have taken the screen away and I still have no working TV. I did call them to be advised that they were awaiting parts. I do not see this as good service and frankly have little confidence in the product or service when or if my TV is ever returned.
Economically I would have thought it would have been cheaper and better service to replace the product.

DKAVS quicky fixed our Sony TV.

Five years ago we bought a Sony TV from Richer Sounds, which came with a six year warranty. A couple of weeks ago it broke down, and Richer Sounds arranged a repair by DKAVS. Most impressed by the fast and friendly service, and our TV is as good as new!

Fixed an old friend of a camera

I have an old Lumix TZ95. It's the one with the superb zoom and it has travelled all over the world with me. It had started making grinding noises when switching on and the lens extended. The sensor was also struggling to focus and wasn't working correctly. I booked a repair, the camera was picked up and returned a couple of weeks later. There was a wait for parts, which was all visible on their website via the Repair Link provided in the booking response email. When it was returned, it was like new and worked perfectly. I could not be happier to have my old, trusted friend back.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company . They came to my house to collect my tv for repair under warranty.The engineer did not showed any id . More than 3 weeks i am waiting for any updates and the answer is we don't have parts in stock. They cant give me any eta for repair. Worse service ever. I will rise the case to the court.

We had a repair done to our 1 year old…

We had a repair done to our 1 year old Panasonic TV, to cut a long story short it was diagnosed as needing a new screen…3 weeks later ( 5 weeks in total from registering the fault) it was fixed, 3 months later, same fault, called to get repaired, sorry, it’s 1 week outside our warranty…this can’t be right, badly of faulty repaired item,supplied by this company, not standing by their shoddy repair….🤷

Fantastic Service!

I had a new Sony TV installed two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the Sony recommended installers broke the cable adaptor for my soundbar, leaving the broken pin inside the cable port. I only discovered this two days later and reported it to Sony. They tried to raise the issue with the installers but after two weeks I'd had no response. Sony then assigned dkavs to deal with the problem. That same evening their engineer, Steve, attended. He had never seen this problem before but within minutes he came up with a plan and successfully removed the broken pin intact, whilst leaving the TV still fixed to its wall mount. Steve couldn't have been more helpful. Before leaving he checked that the connection and soundbar were fully operational. Fantastic service!

Lumix TZ0 repairs

My wife and I have two Panasonic Lumix TZ0 cameras which had developed different faults over the many years of enjoyable use. The booking in and estimate system worked faultlessly, and both cameras were returned in full working order within two weeks, which included replacing a lens assembly on one of them. Excellent service!

LG TV fixed within 30min

My LG TV developed a fault with the power unit. I bought the TV from John Lewis, so it was covered by their 5 year warranty. John Lewis arranged DKAVS for the repair. Darren called 10-15 minutes prior to his arrival. He was very polite and friendly. He understood exactly what the problem was and replaced the power unit on the spot. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. He even cleaned the TV screen for me. Very happy with the service.

An excellent level of service experienced

Clearly, there is a mixed bag of reviews for this company. However, I am pleased to write a more positive review. I used this service repair company many years ago to fix a camcorder. They did an excellent job at the time. Most recently I enquired about a Sony Digital 8 video camera that needs a repair. Using the 'Contact Us' form on Saturday / Sunday I submitted an initial enquiry as to whether they have the ability to repair and service the unit. I also advised why I wanted the repair being undertaken as it was such an oldish item. To my amazement, I received a response that evening informing me that by chance, Robert, the service engineer had logged into their system, and had come across my email note. Robert decided 'out of hours' to respond. He confirmed that they were unable to undertake a fix as the item in question was no longer supported. However, Robert provided added value service, offering suggestions and recommendations for me to follow up to allow me to complete the task at hand. He also provided links to other services that would support my endeavours. For a member of an organisation to go out of their way to assist 'out of hours' is a rare commodity these days, especially over a festive holiday season. As a professional project and service delivery manager manager and Chartered Manager CMI, it's take something for me to be impressed. If Robert is an example of the service culture within DKAVS.co.uk, then Robert and the organisation deserves some credit. Big Ups to Robert with a positive Customer experience received by me.

They did a decent job

My Panasonic Lumix G9ii camera had a broken mic socket. I was initially hesitant to use DKAVS due to some of the reviews on here, but I found them to be pretty good actually. Here's an account of my experience, hopefully others can expect a similar level of service:
- I booked the service on the website on 23 Nov.
- They sent DPD round to collect it on 25 Nov with a 'pink box' with protective lining.
- On 27th Nov they emailed me with a 'condition report' detailing the condition of the camera as they recieved it. Mostly just general wear and tear issues that I was aware of, as well as the issue I wanted repaired.
- On 28th Nov I got my quote. It was a little more than I expected, and there were a few items (replacement of a main p.c. board and replacement grip kit) that were additional to the replacement mic socket, plus a general clean and check. However, I trusted their judgement. The person who handles their emails usually responded within an hour or so.
- Once I had agreed to the quote, I kept an eye on the status of of the repair job via their website. It informed me that parts were on order for a week or so, and then on 8th December changed to being repaired, and it was despacted later that day via Royal Mail Special delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, and I recieved it the following day.
- Camera works fine, the repair job was good, they used reliable couriers. It took 17 days from booking the delivery to recieving the repaired camera.

I was phoned up to alert me to the…

I was phoned up to alert me to the engineers arrival about fifteen minutes prior
Darren is obviously very experienced and he had the TV up and running in half an hour
They had pre identified the problem and Darren had brought the relevant part with him which is always a good sign
I would have given it five stars but I did have to commit staying in all day and could not track his movements nor had any means of communicating with him when he inadvertently left some tools for which he had to return later in the day

I tried to speak with someone beofre buying a camera on their eBay store. I called 3 times and each time they said they would get back to me as no one from the eBay store was there, I gave them the benfit of the doubt and decided to order the camera yesterday. Today I decided to call again to ask them when it would be shippied and again, they said that they would get in touch with the department that sells the cameras. No contact from anyone, fast forward 20 mins my order was refunded with no reason and left with almost £3K tied up and now I cant go ahead and buy another camera becasue I have to wait for my money to come back in 3-5 working days!

They then asked to send it via transfer and they would sell it for £100 more as they price was wrong and still went ahead and canceled my order.

Absolute joke of a company.
