The Speed awareness course which I attended in person, was informative. The Trainers on the day ( Heather & Phil) ensured it was interesting and informative. From my own viewpoint I preferred actually attending the course in person.
The ease of parking at the Venue (Holiday Inn Seaton Burn Northumberland) reduced any practical worries.

The trainers (Vicky and Chris) were extremely welcoming and made us all feel at ease immediately. The course was delivered very professionally but in a light hearted way. I think all drivers should be made to do refresher courses because we are all guilty of becoming complacent when driving and developing bad habits. It was good to understand the reasoning behind why speed limits and other traffic calming measures are set in certain areas because it makes you realise they are not there just to inconvenience you!

The Speed awareness course was extremely useful and expertly presented by experienced professionals. They explained why limits are set at the levels they are, the historical background, and why it is in the interest of everyone that they be observed.

The venue in Rainham Marshall way was excellent. It was very clean plenty of parking and had a nice cafe with hot food etc.
The trainers were exceptional . They were very friendly, professional and made the course very interesting by inviting the participants to engage and made the course go very fast .
I will recommend to ask for these particular trainers Gunes and Claire .

Due to my own fault I had to do a drivetech speed awareness course
Very informative and I found it extremely helpful

Highly recommend. Just speeding one mile an hour above the speed limit can make all the difference to an accidents outcome. Great refresher regarding road sign awareness and just how much I drive on automatic pilot!! Roy was the trainer who delivered an enjoyable and informative course. Thank you Roy. My driving awareness is so much better now.

Informative, educational and above all loved the human interaction with the host and other offenders

I learnt a lot more than I thought I would. and it was far less onerous than i was expecting, delivered as it was with a great deal of real-world humanity and a touch of humour, which sweetened the pill, so to speak. Certainly a far better alternative to points on ones driving icence!

After a speeding incident, I was offered the option of a speed awareness course as an alternative to a fine and points on my licence. I selected Drivetech. The course (online) was actually very informative. We were a small group and the trainer put us all at ease while professionally delivering the course and involving us all. It was actually an enjoyable experience
And the time flew by. Particular praise must go to the trainer who was brilliant.

A good course delivered by an expert who was calm, polite and delivered in an interesting manner. The course is a good refresher to drivers on speed and illustrates the issues of road safety.

An excellent well-paced course which makes you question your own frame of mind and concentration when driving.
It's a far better solution than points on your licence or being prosecuted.

If you are presented with the option of attending the Speed Awareness course as an alternative to receiving penalty points, I strongly recommend you take it. Whatever our age and driving experience, we all have more to learn - as evidenced by the fact we have been given that choice! I thought I was a good driver and it's appropriate that I've been shown the need for me to be more diligent in observing and responding to road situations, speed limits and hazards - of which there are many these days. Our course trainer Selena was excellent, keeping the course focused and effective and drawing on her own wealth of knowledge and experience of driving (and riding). A three hours well spent!

The trainers were very honest, and explained every aspect of speeding and the repercussions of being even a fraction over the speed limit. Moving forward I intend to use the knowledge gained to my advantage, always making sure I observe the speed limits on my commute,as they're put in place for a reason.

father’s overall experience was inconsistent.

During the first session, the trainer removed him without giving what I felt was a clear warning or explanation, even though he had already participated for around 1.5 hours. This resulted in us having to rebook and pay an additional £30.

We later completed the course successfully with a different trainer, who was much clearer, more patient and more professional when dealing with an interpreter. The contrast between the two experiences was significant.

Although Drivetech investigated my complaint, they decided not to refund the additional fee. I appreciate that they reviewed the matter, but I remain disappointed with how the first session was handled.

Wasted entire day, first in morning not invited from them. Booked another course same day. Verified driving licence then again did not invite me into course. Absolute waste of my time. Self employed and lost money, now had to book again and going in person to a venue. My tip would be go elsewhere!!!

The speed awareness course is an easy and informative way of avoiding points on your licence and increased insurance premiums. I should know I’ve done four !

The Speed Awareness course did exactly what it said on the tin! It explained how poor/fast driving could cause life changing events. It pulled no punches. It was also educational in reminding us of why speed limits are so important for road safety. The two people who delivered the course made it very engaging and drew people into participating. A very positive experience.
