I have been at this gym since the day it opened, so I have seen it go through many changes, the staff are friendly and helpful, so are the members, it’s a nice place to train in and the best gym I have belonged to, 5 stars from me

Decent enough gym
Decent enough gym, staff seem friendly. Only downfall is that due to the size of the gym it can seem like it is busy and everyone is on top of one another....
Cannot believe some comments on here are negative about the music, first gym I've joined (And i have been to a few) that actually play decent motivational dance music so if my head phones run out of battery i'm not trying to rush through my workout.

Limited friendliness from staff if your…
Limited friendliness from staff if your not in clique - non from the PT's. Changing room not fit for purpose - too small and dirty. Repairs appear to take a long time. Inefficient entry system. Finger print recognition normally going red then having to explain to a member of staff (if they're around!) Unsafe access and egress from changing rooms due to equipment being used in the immediate location (PT sessions as well as individuals) Lack of space for cool down and or stretches. Equipment dirty. Staff not enforcing individuals to wipe down equipment after use!
Good points, free parking if you get there early. Ideal location for myself. Reasonable price that remains at the joining time. The new earlier opening time is better, however 24 hour opening would be better.

the staff are friendly, and helpful. good range of equipment, good opening hours. Only criticism is it takes a long time for equipment to be repaired.

A great gym
A great gym, all staff are very friendly and helpful. I work up in London and I find this gym offers a good selection of evening classes that I can attend when I am home. Very impressed.

Always very friendly and it doesn't matter if your a total novice or total gym bunny there is something for everyone. The gym itself its always spotlessly clean.

Great place to be
Great place to be. Friendliest gym in Colchester. Lovely staff and clientele. Clean, well equipped. Spin classes are great.
New early start of 6am is better for those wanting to get in before work.
Would highly recommend.

Very friendly gym
Very friendly gym, always on hand if you need help. Different types of equipment for all to use. Clean gym area and toilet/shower facilities. Although I do not join in with any classes they have there excellent classes as I have seen some of them while being in the gym exercising. :)

Good, but could be great
Friendly staff who know their stuff. Good membership rates, good selection of equipment, and a good range of classes if you want them.
Why only average then? Maintenance and cleanliness. Some of the equipment is worn, and has been for while - missing handgrips, a loose fitting or two, maintenance issues & 'reserved' lockers in the changing rooms and CV equipment that really needs a deep clean in places make me just a little uneasy.

Ive never been to a gym before so when…
Ive never been to a gym before so when I signed up to a tough mudder I knew I had too! I’ve been a member at energie fitness since 2017. All staff are very welcoming always smiling and happy to help. I attend many of the classes and all the instructors are very enthusiastic (Sam, Chrissy, Kate and Marion) if you’re new to a class you are made to feel at ease. They make every effort to contact you if classes are cancelled.
Never thought I would say it but I actually enjoy going to the gym and that’s really down to friendly atmosphere you receive as you walk through the door 😁

Wonderful atmosphere!
The atmosphere around the gym is wonderful.
I do love the different variety of activity classes, though sometimes it's difficult to book one. Free parking.
Don't forget the friendly and experience staff. Come on and see yourself. X

10 out of 10 for the gym and staff
An extremely friendly atmosphere, by all staff and members. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff to help and assist with general support technical advice or general form technique. I have recently purchased the help of a personal trainer who has improved many aspects of my training that had hit a wall. I have tried many gyms previously but would recommend this gym to all family and friends. So much so I have taken 4 family members in to join and several friends. 10 out of 10 for the gym and staff.

Great gym
The gym is perfect for me. I attend the classes regularly and the staff get you motivated. The staff are also very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The gym listens to the members and try to accomadate extra classes.
