Great product

The Customer Service and Engineers at Esse have been particularly helpful in 2025.
This is notable in that we bought our Esse Range Cooker in 2003 from Classic Range Cookers in Rugby.
As we did not have a suitable Chimney we purchased a GN Model with a Powerflue Extractor Fan. This Fan continued to run for 22years and then the Electronics gave up. None of the Maintenance Engineers could provide a solution.
So we phoned Customer Service and Engineers at Esse. They were very helpful and recommended Two Fan Manufacturing Companies in Denmark. Eventually we decided that we would have to purchase one of these rather expensive Systems. The problem then was in finding an Engineer who could both obtain and fit one.
Esse provided a Telephone Number for their Engineers. They were very patient and extremely Helpful. I phoned. My Heating Engineer, Richard Docherty Phoned. Our son Philip Canning who is the Future Projects Engineer at Ratcliffe Power Station phoned. The Fitting Engineer, Gary Lloyd also phoned. As a result of all these Contacts, Gary Lloyd (GNL) obtained and fitted an Exodraft Extractor Fan and Electronic Control System. Richard Docherty made the connections to the Esse GN Cooker.
The wonderful Result is that our 23 year old Esse GN Cooker works better than it ever did before, it is very much easier to control, as the Electronic system makes all the necessary changes.
The Total cost of the New Fan and Fitting was £2400 but it is supremely worth it, and should be recommended to all owners of Esss GN Cookers.

10 years on. Disappointed.
I was in the lucky position to self build a modest home 10 years ago and have my dream cookers fitted.
I went for a 600 Esse solid fuel range cooker and spliced it with a 600 Esse Electric cooker. Trim was made for the top and bottom to make it look like one unit. The appearance was fantastic and gained many good comments, however in practice both units were lacking. Maybe things have improved, but this is my reviews of each unit after 10 years use.
The 600 Electric unit. The ceramic home of poor quality and impossible to keep clean. The grill broke 3 times, I don't use it now.
The 600 solid fuel unit. No way to riddle it! After a couple of days use it clogs up. The glass door is good, but that is about it. The hot plate hasn't worn well.
Sadly I wish I had used my previous brand of cast iron range. At great expense and research I had thought I had chosen wisely. Very disappointed 😞

Delivery was quick but one item missimg. Sent it out that day and received it ghe next.

I needed a new spanish grille for my esse log burner (the original one had rusted and warped). Esse sent out a new one within days, so all is well again

So glad we put this stove in. Very efficient.

The part I needed was delivered promptly, very well packaged.

They were brilliant and came out and sorted my air flow as quickly as possible. Its been a month and I have still not managed to get the oven hot enough to cook in and get a kettle to boil which is disappointing. But warms my kitchen nicely. Had I afforded it I would have got the iron heart instead.
