Poorly cited conspiratorial fake news articles with obvious bias. Avoid.

The one really great thing on Euronews is the "No Comment" segment, which speaks louder than any words, especially badly spoken ones.

Two major problems with Euronews are

1) the news coverage is totally superficial, without the remotest analysis in depth, a minor exception being the strangely titled "Brussels, My Love" program which at least presents some kind of panel discussion, with at least some sensible questions put by the (Irish female) presenter.

2) Worst of all, the speakers are appallingly, abysmally awful at speaking in the English language. They seem without exception to be non native English speakers, which does not have to be a bad thing, except that they seem to recruited perversely as the worst possible available, with pronunciation, phrasing, voices and accents usually more like Disney animated characters than actual human people. Is it possible these voices are artificially generated?? Certainly no English language speakers sound like them. Tonight, 27th Jan 2024, a female speaker, talking about the suspension of funding to UNRWA in Palestine, incredibly spoke the words "the who chief said...etc", oblivious to the meaning of the acronym "WHO", or its correct "W-H-O." pronunciation, as if the written phrase "the WHO chief etc...", was being read out either by a disabled person or by a robot.
For an English language service it is essential that speakers be native English speakers, for the benefit of both its English language viewers naturally, and even more importantly for its foreign viewers who will learn much more correct English by hearing it spoken correctly, rather than by unnatural sounding speakers which obviously only perpetuates the errors of these speakers.
Why then does Euronews seemingly go to extreme lengths, as if as a deliberate policy, to select and recruit almost exclusively the worst and most unnatural English speakers it can find ???

Spreading right wing extremist propaganda. Trying to confuse the public about the Palestinian genocide and fact Hamas was funded by the US and Israeli governments, just as they did in previous foreign conflicts they sold arms to.

Es un asustaviejas, super blanco, anti-inmigración, y claramente demarcado en una ideología de tipo centro-derecha. No muestra con ninguna sutileza una opinión distinta ni contrapunto. De hecho, la variedad de noticias brilla por su ausencia y es vergonzoso cómo eligen entrevistas y opiniones de ciudadanos asustados o consternados.

Todo es Ucrania, Israel, inversión en bolsa, terrorismo yihadista y un montón de europeos de centro-norte dándose premios a sí mismos.

Ich habe den Sender über 10 Jahre gerne täglich konsumiert und er war bei mir auf dem Sendeplatz Nō. 1.

Leider hat die Qualität, Neutralität und Objektivität in den letzten Jahren kontinuierlich abgenommen. Ungefähr seit dem die Werbungen für Katar die zeitgleich mit den "Charme-Reportagen" aus arabischen Ländern starteten, hatte man das Gefühl, dass der Sender aus diesen und anderen Bereichen beeinflusst wird und bestimmte kritische Themen gemieden werden.

Daher und aus anderen Gründen hat dieser Kanal seine Qualität und Glaubwürdigkeit für mich verloren und ist nun auf Platz 31. Schade drum!

Il giorno 14/9/23 alle ore 13,30 zero articoli sulla tragedia del migliaio di sbarchi di disperati sulle coste del Sud Italia e di Lampedusa in particolare. In compenso articolo sulla fuga di un lemure a Springfield.

In a lot of their news coverage, it seems like either the writers are biased or the leadership force them to be.
One easy and not too controversial example is an article talking about Mastodon as a social network and competitor to Twitter. In the article is more than apparent that the writer is against Mastodon from the very start and doesn't even try to understand how the platform works, blaming it all on Mastodon.
I literally watched a 5 minutes video explaining how the platform works, there's nothing hard about it but apparently while documenting her experiences with the app in a 7 DAYS period she didn't even try to learn or search anything.
I'm not gonna talk about political biases too since so many other reviews already do, but I think the message is clear enough already.

I noticed that the influence of Arab countries on Euronews is more evident. In one of the comments about Israel bellicose accion in Gaza you finish it saying that the "citizens of Israel went to the beach as nothing happen". I'm pretty sure some of them were against this accion, but you try to portrait all of them as criminals. I guess too many comercials from Abu Dhabi, or Qatar has something to do with it, hasn't it?

Pues no parece un noticiero. Solo hablan de Qatar. Y de noticias repetitivas. En 30min que sintonizo este noticiero me entero de 4 noticias, el resto son comerciales cruelmente repetidos. Y otra vez las mismas noticias. Es dolorosamente malo este noticiero

Veo Euronews en tv imagenio desde algo más de las 2 décadas cuando se fundó. Hace poco tiempo, cambiaron drásticamente la presentación del noticiero y me he visto obligado a ver BBC solamente. Es el caso de los recuadros en letra minúscula que salen del lado derecho de la pantalla (los verá Superman). Ahora, cansonas e inútiles entrevistas que NO INTERESAN; entrevistados que hablan mucho sin concretar ni comprometerse en nada y entrevistadoras con CARA DE AMARGURA.
Por otra parte, el mejor pronóstico y visualización del clima ERA EL DE ESTE NOTICIERO; ahora desulta que solo salen las temperaturas (sin mapa) y CANARIAS AHORA NO ES COMUNIDAD EUROPEA (vivo en La Palma), ni aparece por ningún lado. Antiguamente se veían las corrientes de aire y sus previsiones (CALIMA) por ejemplo, da coraje ver esa información ahora.
Aspectos positivos: mejor colorido y textos resaltados (INSISTO: inútiles los recuadros del lado derecho), buenas imágenes y vídeos. Ojalá que retomen la forma de presentación anterior, manteniendo las mejoras que no cambian lo que más gusta del noticiero. Pareciera que como ocurre con frecuencia, algún mediocre y para justificar su puesto de trabajo; destruye la excelencia de los buenos profesionales (muy frecuente en la informática y relacionados). ... im Viertelstundentakt ist gut aber in Dauerschleife immer dasselbe nicht ! Auch dieser Sender ist seit der Umstellung der Frequenzen durch Vodafone erheblich gestört ! Aber die stört das nicht !

Pourquoi Euronews diffuse-t-il en matinée en anglais seulement sans traduction simultanée sur le Québec, un pays de langue française? Auparavant on avait au moins droit à la traduction simultanée!! Maintenant les auditeurs francophones n'ont droit qu' à des sous-titres!!!

Ho espresso la mia opinione nella sezione commenti Youtube, offrendo argomentazioni e tenendo una condotta impeccabile , ho trovato agghiacciante trovarmi censurato nell'espressione personale dei pensieri.
Non accade invece lo stesso per chi offende basandosi su elementi sensazionalistici .

Ho chiesto , mezzo mail, alla redazione di fornire una risposta in merito a questo brutto episodio, qualora dovessi ricevere risposte esaustive sarò pronto a rettificare questa recensione.
Rettifica (qualcosa che non ho avuto il piacere di riscontrare invece quando hanno fornito informazioni poi smentite dai fatti) .

Basic analysis accompanied with poor ethics. Some news are pushed, like the funeral of the queen for example although UK is no longer in the EU. I wonder who read it to be honest...while others more important were ommited.. poor selection of priorities... frequently biased, superficial reporting...TOO many ads ..it looks like an "adult" site :)

Ich bin irritiert. Wollte mir in der Türkei die Zähne machen lassen und habe mit großem Interesse Ihren Artikel vom 13.10.2022 gelesen. Soweit ich verstehe ist Frau Rida Azim die Geschädigte. Aber wer zur Hölle ist Azeeme? Warum setzen Sie doppelte Anführungszeichen oben? Ist das französische Grammatik? Und warum ist das Gesicht eingefallen, wenn Ihr doch noch gar nicht 16 Zähne gezogen wurden? Ihr Medium ist einfach niveaumässig zu hoch für mich. Da komme ich mit meinem kleinen Hirn gar nicht mehr hinterher.

Lies lies and propaganda. Euronews is trash. Take what they say and turn it 180 degrees, and you will have some truth to what really is happening. Their anchors are ugly, unprofessional and really unpleasant to watch. I wish some really good news from Europe would be available in the US.

Seems to be promoting Kremlin propaganda ... Not what i expect/want to see from a European news channel ... I've removed the channel from my satelite receiver.
