FocusMate is such a fantastic tool! I love meeting people from around the world who’ve taken the time to block 50 minutes to get work done with me. It pushes me to stay focused and not get distracted by other things. Even though every session isn’t perfect, I have to say that every session shows me how much I can accomplish when I commit to a task for a set period of time. I love telling other people about how much this has helped me!

Very simple platform, no distracting bells and whistles, exactly what it should be to help focus. There is an endless pool of people to body double with, never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a match.

Focusmate has literally changed my life. And I'm not someone who throws that statement around. It is by far, and by a very large margin, the BEST productivity tool I've ever used. I highly recommend it if you struggle with task initiation and procrastination.

I was skeptical to do body doubling, an ADHD strategy, with strangers online, but found that the site gives you a proper introduction to using their site before your first interaction and all the other users I've worked with have been friendly. It's a great tool to get work done more efficiently. I appreciate the scholarship they offer to those in need short or long term. The groups available, especially for those who are neurodivergent, are also a great resource.

I love focusmate. I can't emphasize enough how helpful it has been for keeping me moving forward. I especially appreciate all of their positive messaging. Like when you miss a session they ask if you are ok vs penalizing you for missing.

This website is life changing. If you do not have traditional working hours it can really help to get you into a zone. Built for neurodivergents even though it is unstated this website has saved my life.

As someone who procrastinates a lot and often works independently, Focusmate by creating a virtual "partner" for blocks of time helps me with both productivity/time management, as well as the isolation.
