Absolutely appalling (Ivybridge
Absolutely appalling (Ivybridge, Devon branch). The Fawlty Towers of gyms, except it’s not funny. Several machines/features constantly broken (currently NO rowing machines for over a YEAR, steam room hasn’t been working for weeks and no scales) with no sign of things ever getting fixed. And the manager is extremely unfriendly with a terrible attitude, each time I report anything that’s not working. “It’s on the priority list”. Really? Over a year with no rowing machines… I’d hate to see what’s regarded as “low priority”
It’s the only gym/pool in my town and that’s the only reason I still attend. They should at least have the decency to to give us a discount on our membership in stead of taking the full wack every month.

Watch out they still steal money from you even when they have cancelled your account, app and told you the account is closed. They refuse to provide a refund.
Ridiculously expensive Terrible Booking System
Terrible useless booking system for swimming that takes you round and round in a circle. You can, if you DO get through only buy one swim at a time (so for a family of 4, set aside half a day just
to book those 4 tickets).
All these bad reviews and they cant even be bothered to DO anything about it. Frome deserves a better leisure centre system than this load of cobblers.

Was overall good but had a very unpleasant experience with staff which couldn’t find our membership which we set up and forced us to pay for the family swim sessions which should be covered under membership. I’ve showed the staff the email confirmation of when the membership enrolment was sent but they said that it was two different systems. I’m fine for them to have technical problems but if they know that problem , they shouldn’t have charged the customers.
Your staff at reception are fantastic
Your staff at reception are fantastic, nothing is a bother they will always assist.
Pool is great as I can conduct my rehab from end to end, as there is no deep over head end.

Please please please take on someone to run Zumba sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Poorly maintained
The whole place is filthy with little investment in repairing the many broken facilities.
Not enough instructors
Loughborough leisure centre has continual problems with the boiler. Showers very often are cold. Changing rooms & toilets are old & not well maintained. Constantly having to ask for soap & toilet rolls. Drains smell awful.
Not enough staff so when illness or holidays, classes are cancelled due to no instructors. This happens regularly. The instructors there are very good, just not enough of them.

Since the transfer from Fusion to Everyone Active, the quality of the gym has gone sharply downhill. About half of the gym equipment has been removed, and what’s left isn’t properly maintained. The new pull-up bars, for example, have been installed too close to the ceiling and are basically unusable.
Management is completely unresponsive — they’ve been promising new equipment since June, then said October, and now it’s supposedly coming in April. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like it will ever happen.
To make things worse, the showers have been out of order for over a week with no sign of repair or communication from staff. Overall, it feels like nobody in management actually cares about the state of the place.
Most of the gym instructors have also left since the takeover — only one remains — which really says a lot about the current working environment and management approach.
The only redeeming part of Clements Hall is the group fitness classes. The instructors running them are fantastic — enthusiastic, professional, and clearly dedicated. It’s their energy that keeps this centre going despite everything else falling apart.
Showering dirty pool
Fusion policy is people don't have to shower before getting into the pool or even after a sauna when swimming. The website is hopeless, never fully updated with times, you have to phone to check. Senior mgt need to go if this is the best they can do.
Waiting for 3 months for a refund
Cancelled my gym membership after 10 days, within the cooling off period. 3 Months later I still haven't recieved a refund.
They don't follow their own complaints procedure. Their management doesnt reply.

They don't care about their customers
Fusion has cancelled my children's swimming lessons for three weeks, they promised they will refund my money, I chased for more than four months but never came back to me!
They also over charged the membership it was their mistakes they didn't refund me as well.
Their customer service is not good at all.
