In a land plot purchase description there was no mention of the land being part of a landbanking scheme scam therefore misrepresenting the offering to buyers since this information cannot be researched and found out from the legal pack or the local authority so must be informed. Once I got to legal stage found out the address for the plot was completely unknown and therefore no idea where the title was due to be registered as sellers solicitors informed of a completely different address. They still have adverts up for another 9 plots on this field. The boundaries shown in the pictures is not the same as what is shown on title plan. I question if the rest of the facts stated in their advert is even correct. I viewed the site shown on the image so did I even view the correct site or does the site even exist??

We paid a deposit for land that the seller advertised, but later discovered they don’t even hold the title for it. Despite repeated follow-ups, our deposit has been stuck with them for months. They refuse to refund, and the only option given to us is costly legal action – which would end up costing more than the deposit itself.

This feels like a deliberate setup where they can advertise any land, take deposits from the public, and hide behind legal loopholes. Hardworking people who save for years can lose their money in an instant.

Advertised as a “prime investment site” with “potential for housing,” but the Land Registry proves it’s restricted amenity/public open space – meaning nothing can be built on it. When I challenged this misrepresentation, they responded with threats of legal action instead of honesty. Exactly as other reviews say: worthless land dressed up as an investment, zero transparency, and aggressive tactics. Avoid at all costs.

I do not recommend this company. I was a first-time land buyer and believed the hype in the advertising information. The listing was for a small piece of land via auction. New to this type of purchase, i noted the land "May be suitable for a portable home, Bio net Gain Carbon capture, Allotment's or maybe for the travelling community. (subject to investigating & gaining necessary consents)."
What the listing failed to mention, and I failed to notice, is that there was no access to the land. I'm not sure how you can add a cabin to a piece of land with no access. The auction site recommended a solicitor who was useless, and in the end, I pulled out of the deal, not before losing a £3000 deposit and the auction fees (even though it didn't go to auction) of £2500.
Remember, Buyer Beware. This company has other reviewers who have also queried the description of land. My advice, do NOT pay a deposit until you have viewed the land and also have a good solicitor ready BEFORE you bid.

Had my property for sale on every platform without my permission.To make matters worse I am in the middle of divorce proceedings and it took 2 emails 3 phone calls the day before then until 15 minutes before auction went live to be resolved.
After a few days at significant cost back and forward with solicitors trying to assure that the property was not for sale,tearing my house apart looking to make sure I had my title deeds incase an almighty fraud was taking place,worrying if people were going to turn up trying to have a look around after assuring my kids I hadn’t put it up for sale I eventually got passed to the manager Robin and was basically met with a shrug of the shoulder type whoops we got the wrong house number.
Also managed to get the wrong photos showing my house plastered everywhere online.
Horrible customer service.

Just won a bid for a property and took the invoice to my bank for wire transfer. The banking information to pay did not match names and the bank wants me to research more as to possible fraud ! (Iban and bic) information don't match !

Poor service and supply of important information.
Told to bid blindly without any information and all the risk on buyer.
Ignorant staff not replying to emails for specific details.
Not providing viewings of properties as requested.
When I complained to a manager/ owner I was told he would bar me from bidding on any lots.
Nice bunch to do business with and best avoided, in my humble view.

Great experience, Cameron attended to my requests and made an excellent job of marketing my property which sold very quickly. Highly recommended.

FPA have been selling a plot of land next my house. It has Japanese Knotweed on it. I have notified them at least 7 times, including with photographic evidence, yet they have consistently failed to reply to my emails. Having lost out to a higher bidder on an original sale (from a different auction house) FPA have subsequently offered this land on 3 further occasions, with a 4th due this week. This will be their 4th opportunity to amend the buyers pack, ensuring that the successful bidder is aware of the problem and understands that this will need remediating, yet they are wilfully ignoring my emails, causing me to worry that the Knotweed problem will continue to grow.

Enquired about a flat and was told there is no Home Report as you do not need one to sell at auction. This is a blatant lie as it is illegal to sell in Scotland without one. Two very big red flags. Flat in Dumbarton beware anyone interested as something is being hidden here. Always do your due diligence.

Just spoke to them on the phone. Very rude and had no idea what the were selling.

These auctioneers are crooks, nothing matters to them than money
We recently bought a flat that’s totally not the one for sale. They advertised next door property as the one for sale while it wasn’t, and viewing wasn’t available coz it was deemed as unsafe to enter to, but the actual flat that’s was for sale was not the one on the picture

They are scammers and advertise misleading information. I lost £17000 for a property they listed as free-hold whereas property was lease-hold and they did not possess the property and are unable to complete the sale even after 6 months. People are rude and I have to involve property ombudsman. Still waiting for refund of my lost money. Will go behind them as much as possible!

Useless company. Staff are so rude and unhelpful. Look at selling or buying your properties through a different company. Shocking

Future SELL property, no messing about.

Wouldn’t normally write a review however after looking here I thought I would .
Read the auction terms and conditions before doing anything as this is key . !!
I purchased at auction , paid my deposit then got nothing other than excuses .
After a month my solicitor checked the land register, the property had been sold to someone else whilst I waited for the contract, which was never going to appear despite repeatedly contacting them , Obviously they had 2 buyers on the go !! I’m sure this happens a lot , Time wasters and terrible communication skills what a joke that they think this is ok to treat Auction purchasers this way with no explanation. So if u paid ur deposit and waiting then think again they’re probably trying to tie the sale up at the other end!!

The property was a health hazard and needed the same cost as the asking price on repairs.
Description was completely inaccurate.
That's why it's an auction "only a fool will buy any of these" Nothing like mentioning the addicts in the building, the blaring night club next door, the no parking anywhere near, the lead pipes which are poisoning residents, flooding everything when it rains, no insulation above the ceilings, vermin in the attic, uninhabitable, no post due to no entry system for postman, close being used for addicts jagging and neighbouring pub goers urinating in close, the building needs demolished. Buying this place will ruin your life! Ka14ah.

Could not trust these people as they use photographs taken from a different property.

Sandy's own words: I had trouble with one of my tenants, who eventually set fire to her flat and ended up in Levendale Hospital. I decided, having renovated the flat in question at a significant cost, to sell both of them as, at nearly 80, I was finding dealing with the problems too stressful. I had hoped to sell them for at least £100K each, as Home Reports had valued them at £141,000 and £136,000. My initial conversations and e-mails with Stephen gave me the impression that this was possible, as he suggested starting prices of £112,000 and £108,800 (20% below the Home Report Value). The first-floor flat was initially sold to Mr. Gallagher for £109,000. A price, which I accepted. I was therefore very disappointed to be told that he had backed out and ended up receiving only 53% and 55% of the Home Report Valuation.
If future property auctions are so out of line with market values, one has to wonder about their competence, either that or the conduct of their auctions.
