ABSOLUTE SCAM: Disgusting Customer Service and Zero Support
I am writing to express my absolute outrage and disgust with the pathetic level of service—or lack thereof—provided by GardX. Selling a protection plan and actually honoring it are apparently two completely different things to your company.
We had our very first experience with a tire puncture and followed your procedures by visiting an authorized dealer. To our absolute shock, the dealer had no idea what GardX even was. How can you sell a premium protection product and partner with dealerships who have never heard of you?
To make matters worse:
The Wait: We were forced to wait for three grueling hours while the dealer tried to figure out your broken system.
The Result: After wasting half our day, our car was not even fixed. We walked away with a damaged tire and zero resolution.
The Support: Your customer service and support are completely non-existent. You are quick to take people's hard-earned money, but when it comes time to deliver on your promises, you vanish.
This entire operation feels like a massive scam. You take upfront money for peace of mind, but leave paying customers stranded at dealerships who don't know you exist.
Gard x cover AVOID
If you are offered this cover by your vehicle dealership steer well clear! We bought the so called all singing all dancing cover, we came to use it for the first time and low and behold it was rejected. The wheels are curbed so is accidental damage which is what the cover is for, however because there is water ingress under the paint around the damage from the kerbing they have rejected the claim. Basically the cover is not worth the paper it is writen on. We also had a scuff on the bumper from contact with a fence rejected with no explanation. You have been warned.

Terrible service
Terrible service. They take weeks to reply to emails and calls and further weeks to agree a repair. Then the fun starts they just do not attend to repair. They are real cowboys is a disgrace how they charge so much and avoid repairs at all costs. Dont use this company.

Useless "Lifetime Guarantee" – Just an excuse to avoid claims
I had the GardX GX2 coating applied to my BMW, thinking it would provide long-term protection.
Unfortunately, after only 8 months, a bird dropping caused permanent etching on the paintwork. The product simply did not perform as advertised.
To make matters worse, their claims process is terrible. Their online portal is faulty, and after waiting 5 days for a response, they issued a "Final Response" (Ref: UGV SYT-02664049) rejecting the claim. They blamed me for not removing the dropping "fast enough," which makes their
"lifetime guarantee" completely worthless.
If you have to wipe the car every second for the coating to work, then the coating is not doing its job. A total waste of money. Stay away.

I had an issue with the windscreen with lots of spots/ stars. BMW at first were not interested and directed me to GardX. Their Rep Ashley Huff came to inspect my car at home, spent a long time cleaning and inspecting the windscreen, only to conclude that there were issues with the actual glass. After referring his views to BMW they immediately agreed to change the screen - which is now so much better. The GardX treatment is great as even though i can see the dirt on my car after the heavy rain & sleet last night it still looks really clean and bright. Ashley was very professional and was clearly very experienced - thank you
Awful customer service ignore/never…
Awful customer service ignore/never respond to emails. And either the product is cr*p or the dealerships alleged valeters failed to apply Gard X correctly as after only 4 weeks its clear the coating isnt doing what it should and hasnt been applied properly or its just not good enough. Being a former valeter myself for a car dealership and used

Do NOT waste your money on buying a GardX Cosmetic Repair insurance with your car dealer.
GardX will demand countless photos and retakes, I must have Emailed/posted about 20 ….an obvious delaying tactic to put you off proceeding with your claim !
In their policy there is absolutely NO mention that the
" under 30cm length " allowance for scrapes actually changes if you have 2 scratches
Unbelievably they consider the combined length of any separate scratches plus the distance between them as the length of the damage …... Unbelievable !
Consequently they won’t cover ANY bodywork repairs at all.

Very unimpressed with this company. In August 2025 I took out a Cosmetic Maintenance Plan for 3yrs (£399) and a Ceramic Maintenance Plan for lifetime (£649). At the beginning of April 2026 I am now trading in the vehicle and find that there is no partial refund available and I shall lose over £900. This is both unfair and unreasonable. I should like to warn others about signing up to similar policies
