Gill was good in past. Now it is HORRIBLE. I will never buy anything from Gill again!

Paid items were marked as delivered, but I never received them. I have contacted customer service numerous times, but no one has responded. When I finally called, the support was very poor. I was told they would investigate with the carrier and get back to me, but that was about a month ago and I have heard nothing since.
This is extremely disappointing, especially because I have purchased many items from Gill in the past and had a very positive impression of the company. Unfortunately, after this experience and the lack of any meaningful customer support, I will not be purchasing from Gill again!!!

I ordered the UV tech hoodie. I can underscore how disappointed I am in the product, the customer service and the Company. If I could give them a minus 50 I would. Due to the unisex sizing I ordered more than I needed so that everyone got the right size. I tried to return 5 hoodies and Gill Marine went silent. Their website DOES NOT work. I emailed them and called them and left messages to no avail. They don't respond.

This company and their people are unethical by not complying with their return policy. I will NEVER do business with them again and encourage everyone else to abide by Buyer Beware. My first and LAST experience with the Company!

Meine Jacke ist 12 Jahre alt und fast nicht genutzt worden und es dann einfach auseinandergefallen verschweißt Neder auseinander gegangen die Antwort von Gill war sehr überraschend
Man sollte sich im Klaren sein dass die Marke davon ausgeht dass das Produkt nach 5 Jahren völlig verschlissen sein kann auch wenn man es nicht viel getragen hat und das ist so völlig in Ordnung🫣 kann nur von dem Produkt abraten und das vollmundige Garantieversprechen von lebenslanger Garantie auf Material und Verarbeitung wird nicht entsprochen
Nach weitere Nachfrage wo du mir jetzt einen Rabatt von 40% auf eine Bestellung meiner Wahl gewährt was ich angenommen habe dies hatt einbisschen mein Ärger gemildert👍
Abschließend muss man sagen die Kommunikation war sehr gut es wurde schnell und umfassend reagiert

Esperienza pessima con una muta stagna costata oltre 500 € durata meno di 2 mesi adesso fa acqua dai piedi. Insensibile! Purtroppo la Gill ha una pessima qualità di fabbricazione!

Returning merch is a nightmare. Poor communication and still waiting for a refund weeks after it was returned and received by Gill.

I've worn a host of Gill products for many years from dinghy boots to off-shore suits and everything in between and in my opinion their products are superb. Recently, I was concerned with the cuffs on an off-shore jacket, I telephoned and spoke to Tracey who asked me to send the item to her for examination. The cuffs were replaced and the garment was returned in perfect order, ready for winter use, without charge. I am completely satisfied and feel I've been rewarded for my loyalty to the brand. Thank you Gill.

I have brought a few items recently and the quality and speed of delivery as been amazing.
I have known the company for a long time now, I used to empty their bin when I livwd in Long Eaton! Now using their gear now I live in Cornwall and am sailing

Do not order, I never received the sailing pants, nobody ever followed up even after I called them and said I have never received the pants. I wi have to dispute charges and report the company!!!

Habe teure Gill Pilotjacke gekauft, Wasserbeschichtung löst sich bereits nach einem Jahr. Habe den Kundendienst in den USA als auch in den UK mehrfach kontaktiert. Keine Antwort für die ersten zwei Monate.
Aber siehe da, plötzlich hat sich eine nette Person aus den UK eingeschaltet - der Wert wurde mir in Form eines Vouchers zurückerstattet.

I recently bought several wetsuit items for my son. I've known about Gill's quality since 2023. After placing my order last Sunday (Easter), I didn’t receive any updates for about three days. After contacting their customer support, I received a response very quickly. The quality of the customer support was excellent – they even created an account for me and linked my order to it (since I checked out as a guest).

I contacted customer support at the same time my shipment was dispatched. After that, the tracking was clear and transparent. I received my package on time, and all the sizes matched what I ordered.

I’ll gladly recommend this store, as well as the manufacturer.

Bought Gill Dinghy Drysuit 5 months ago and within using it up to 10 times and not submerging in it once the sleeve seal fell apart.
Got in touch with Wetsuit Outlet, where I bought it from who got in touch with Gill and was told the seals usually wear out so are not covered by warranty.
Hang on, designed for dinghy racing and come apart in less than 10 uses at a rather costly price?
Not quite what I was buying into!!!

If this is how Gill manufactures it's drysuits and responds to customers I for one won't be spending my hard earned cash and advise others to be aware of what could happen to them.
Should anyone ask my advice on purchasing from Gill, I'd say avoid.
Friends have other branded drysuits from 10 years back that are still intact yet I buy a Gill drysuit use it about 10 times without going in the water and wrist seal gone. Very Unhappy with Gill.

Veste de quart Gill achetée à Marseille en 2019 avant de partir au Antilles dans le cadre d'une mutation. L'intérieur de la veste s'est décomposé après 15 jours de croisière en 2020, perdant son étanchéité. Le service après vente GILL, n'a pas assumé ses responsabilités malgré de nombreux échanges de mail et de photos, me demandant de ramener la veste dans le magasin où elle avait été achetée, alors que j'étais aux Antilles pour plusieurs années. Je déconseille le produit (veste de quart) et la marque pour son manque d'honnêteté. A ce jour, depuis mon retour en métropole, cette veste sert d'épouvantail sur mon nouveau bateau. Bravo GILL !

I used you wear Gill Sailing cloth years ago and used to love Quality & value for money. After ordering a set of gear now, I was shocked to receive some cheaply made (in China and Myanmar) plastic stuff, uncomfortable and feels like plastic foil on the buddy.
certainly my last purchase from that brand.

Die wollen weiter na EU verkaufen aber keine Rücksendungkosten übernehmen falls die Kleider z.B zu klein sind. Für mich no go!

Have bought a number of products over recent years which have all been very good value for money. I was unfortunate to encounter a problem with one of them shortly after the warranty expired, but it was quickly replaced with no quibble whatsoever which is excellent customer service, a measure by which I believe a company should be judged as much as its products.

Ho acquistato Gill race balance hikers rs35 - dopo i primi utizzi il capo si è smagliato da una cucitura evidenziando difetto di fabbrica. Il venditore ha preso in carico il problema ed ha offerto sostituzione o rimborso. Molto professionale. Sono soddisfatta.

OFF SHORE GIIL HAT WORKS PERFECT LOVELY AND WARM

Very sad experience with Gill in Germany. They use DPD as transport service and this is a nightmare. I am still waiting for 200€ and had to involve paypal because the refund is missing (after 6 Weeks). Chaos on the Gill side as well. Service is not answering or needs days for a simple question.

Customer service helped me resolve a problem I had with a broken zipper on a Cargo Bag.
They went far beyond what I expected as it was out of warranty.
However the bag was still good condition and so was repaired.
All of the Gill clothing and gear I own has been of good quality, very fit for purpose and value for money.
Highly recommended!
