GO Outdoors - Taunton Reviews

Served at the check out by an outstanding member of staff, whose name was Lydia. She was smiley and extremely helpful and deserves recognition within the company.

Excellent service.
Needed to buy 3 pairs of walking boots for myself and my children, Lily was very friendly and helpful, she was more than happy to check/get different sizes for us to try and we came away woth exactly what we needed.

We needed advice on sleeping bags, the lady who helped us couldn’t have been more knowledgable or helpful, hence the purchase of two new sleeping bags🥳🥳🥳🥳

We are visiting from Spain and called into the Taunton store, in order to stock up on our walking shoes.
We had planned this stop as we have lived in the South West and relied on your store for the advice of your staff, range of footwear on offer and the good prices with the membership card.
We were not disapointed. Your colleague Jonathan gave us excellent service and advice. We plan to return again next year on our annual visit to the UK.

Jonathan was exceptionally helpful and thoughtful when I was choosing a pair of walking boots. It was also good to engage with him about Longshaw Estate outside Sheffield. Thank you so much.

Jonathon on the shoe section was a great help in choosing the right walking boot. Much more knowledgeable than other in town stores I visited

Excellent service from the team at Taunton Store when I returned a pair of Scarpa Vortex trail shoes that had suffered a manufacturing issue on the flex point of the vibram sole.

Well done to all at the Taunton Store. Good job.

I came in to buy some walking shoes and climbing shoes. Jonathan was very friendly and helpful and checked i was okay before I had to ask! He was very knowledgeable of all the products and was very patient when I was trying on a million shoes haha! Many thanks

Jonathan was super helpful helping me find the raincoat for backpacking. Took his time and nothing too much trouble.

Jonathan was super helpful when selecting new hiking boots. He had really good knowledge on what was best for me and was patient whike I tried on lots of options.

I visited the store and asked a young lady at the till where I would find an item, she responded with an unhelpful general wave in a general direction, made no eye contact and showed disinterest in being able to support. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name.
As I turned to walk in said direction a gentleman named Alex introduced himself and asked a little more about the item size, and with that turned and gestured to for me to follow him to the item. He was so fast that by the time I’d got to where he was he had the item, checked it was the correct one, then carried the item to the till and served me. He made sure to ask if I had any discounts and wished me a good day. This review would have been a 1 at best had Alex not have come to support and it would have been a 5 if my interaction would have been just with him. Thank you Alex for your great customer support.

Was very polite when buying the item
Thank you to Stuart for helping me and my mum

Alex was very patient and helped us out so much. A fantastic representative for the company

Good selection of well priced footwear - Lewis in particular was very helpful in searching out my size.

Luc was really helpful and patient, even going to search upstairs for the item I couldn't find and coming back with exactly the right thing from my vague description.
Always really helpful staff, great prices, massive range of what you need!

Customer service was great my dog had a treat had everything I needed. At Taunton great outdoors

This is a 5 star review for Alex at Taunton, who was an absolute star helping us sort our an online order that didn't quite go as expected!
Nothing was too much trouble even though we caught him in the middle of another job he was dealing with at the time.
Great to have experienced staff, who are able to help and share some useful tips!
Thank you!

Visited the Taunton branch following a multitude of problems after our first online order and saw Alex.
Thank you Alex for sorting out all the issues, remaining very patient and adding helpful advice. You restored our hope.

Harry V was very helpful and made my life easy

Jamie at Taunton GO was really helpful in explaining the hiking footwear options. Appreciated his help thank you!
