Do not buy from this company! Bought a. Very expensive fridge from them and the door cracked at the hinges due to overtightening. This was less than a month after purchase! Contacted the company who have said this is not covered by warrenty and I would need to pay for a new door myself. Terrible company. Do not touch!!!!!!!!

All style no substance!! Our kitchen designer recommended Gorenje+ appliances as we had 3 ovens and a coffee machine built into our kitchen wall units in a row, so he wanted a common design running through. The appliances are all a joke! One oven had to be returned as never got to temperature, the other makes a noise from the fan. The combination microwave leaves excessive water and condensation inside, and the coffee machine is the worst of the lot. Had 3 replacement units from them, clearly a design fault as had the same issue every time with the milk frother. Have the same issue again with a coffee machine 6months old and they’re now refusing to take a look or repair even though the new unit has a “full 2 year guarantee”.
Worst decision you can make having Gorenje appliances. Avoid!!

Bought washing machine and tumble dryer from Gorenje via AO.com. Came with 5 year guarantee. However when contacting service centre for 2nd repair in 2 years on washer it was not covered as AO only cover it for 1 Year apparently. Gorenje don’t want to know. The machine itself looks good but has terrible uneconomical programmes same for the Tumble Dryer. I have now discovered that model has been discontinued! Can’t wait to get rid. Do not buy Gorrnje!

I purchased a fridge freezer from this company for the design and colour.
My freezer draw snapped off. Despite being within warranty I have been told that internal accessories are not covered ! I asked for the complaint to be escalated. After a month I had to chase the management service team. Despite being a manager Kathryn was as unhelpful as the rest of the team . I was told to buy one as the item is not covered .

My 1st issue here is not one person asked how the draw had broken. I found myself having to explain ( along with photos) that the draw in question was used for frozen vegetables and also clear of any ice and therefore the draw must of been at fault from day one.
My second issue is that I was polite in my requests and was ignored. I had to contact the team after a month!
I wasted my time and effort as again the response was a flippant buy one at a given link to make the purchase
It was all very uncaring, uninvestigated , unprofessional and totally usless.
This is my 1st and last purchase from gorenje.

Our fridge broke under warranty two weeks before Christmas. The truly terrible Gorenje customer service cannot tell me when it will be repaired, but probably not before February!!!! How can they expect someone to be without a fridge for over 6 weeks. I contacted 'Which' legal team, who advised me that Gorenje were in breach of the consumer rights act, but they won't budge and we are powerless.
Please do not buy this brand. In the past we have had great service from Bosch, Miele and Siemens so will stick to these in future.

Avoid buying Gorenje appliances.

I used to sell appliances, Gorenje is by far the worst, both in terms of quality of the products and service.

Once your product fails (which it most likely will within the warratny period) you will be passed on a third party repair company who than subcontracts the Job to another company. None of these companies will bother getting back to you.

You will be better off buying Bosch, Neff or AEG appliances for similar price.

Freestanding fridge freezer NRK6192MWUK. Purchased September 2016, began slow death October 2018.

This was the first brand-new fridge freezer I have ever purchased, - a massive luxury! About six weeks after the manufacturer warranty expired the fridge compartment died. It might have started earlier but it’s always hard to tell unless you monitor the temperature with a thermometer.

I was offered an extended warranty from the retailer approaching one year after purchase, but I didn’t buy it because it was duplicating the second year of the manufacturer warranty, and besides, all my previous appliances have soldiered on for years.

And engineer visited (booked independently, not through gorenje), and for £70 ruled out everything except the thermistor, but could not guarantee that this part would solve the problem.

The lead time for spares is 2-12 weeks. Yup, that could be three months. How very convenient, and what a marvellous customer service from gorenje 😡.

As off this morning the freezer is also faulty. What do I do now?

Apart from the disappointment, inconvenience, and complete waste of money, it is ridiculous to throw away an item that is practically brand new. I feel very bad about this but I suspect that the people at the top of the gorenje couldn’t give a toss.

Shame on them!

Bad quality product & 10 weeks to get replacement

I bought a Gorenje fridge/freezer ca 3 and a half years ago. It broke down 10 weeks ago so it still fell under the 5 year guarantee it came with. I finally got the replacement yesterday, if I had known it would take 10 weeks to get it and how appaling the service is, I would have just bought a new one at my own cost straight away.
Every time I called their number i was waiting for at least 20 minutes to speak to someone and all this time you're charged, I had a phone bill of £28 last month just for calling this one number and i don't even want to think about how much this month's will be. On several occassions I was transferred up to 4 times to different departments even though all i asked was whether they'd remove the old fridge or not. It took 3 separate appointments for this (and I'll need another one to get the old appliance removed now because they don't remove old appliances after all), they only tell you the date until shortly before the appointment not the time and it's during working hours. Ordering and installing a new one would have been 1 appointment... Staff on the phone simply gave me wrong information such as the old fridge would be removed even though the engineer coming round refused to remove the old fridge as their company isn't licensed to do this.

Way to ensure no one makes use of a 5 year guarantee

We've had our cooker for less than two years. In that time the hinges have gone twice on the oven door meaning it won't shut.

Customer Service incredibly rude and unhelpful - refusing to send us spares. Clearly a fault with the cooker (it's now discontinued), but Gorenje only interested in the warranty having expired (bought through AO so we only get one year).

Avoid

Customer service and spare parts service is appalling. I have had a drawer break in my hand and a shelf explode into little pieces all over the kitchen and in my face when I tried to wash it in water that was slightly too hot. The fridge freezer is under guarantee, however, neither part is under guarantee although they both broke being used in a completely normal way. To top it all i hung on the line for well over the three minutes it suggests on their recorded message and this avoids them actually dealing with the issues as the number is an 0844 number so you are charged a silly price for every minute you hang on getting nowhere. Ich fragte nach dem Reparaturservice, und bei mehreren Gelegenheiten fragte ich, ob mir etwas in Rechnung gestellt werden würde. Zu jeder Zeit wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass mir der Service nicht berechnet würde. Nach der Reparatur wurde ich angeklagt und ich musste den Service bezahlen. Das Unternehmen ist nicht inkonsequent bei der Bereitstellung der Dienstleistung und aus diesem Grund empfehle ich dieses Produkt in keiner Weise.

Jeg skal aldrig have en Gorenje vaskemaskine eller dette mærke.
I dag har vi ikke snavset tøj ,så vi behøver ikke vaske så længe .Min vaskemaskine Gorenje vasker 1,53 m.på 60% en time er længe nok.
Sådan er det med alle programmer ,jeg kan ikke selv bestemme hvor længe det skal køre.Når jeg så vasker mine bademåtter sammen med håndklæder

Spent 30 minutes on the phone listening to a message saying the average wait time is 3 minutes. At that point talked for 10 seconds to a person who wanted to quickly check something. After another 5 minutes listening to the 3 minute average wait time message they hung up the phone.

Tried to get service through the email system, which confirmed to me that the 5 year warranty apparently is void when you move the appliance. (thanks guys, really transparent!). To be helpful, they recommended an out-of-warranty repair centre that's got 1 star on trustpilot. I guess I'll go with someone local...

Gorenje, never again have had so many problems and extremely poor customer care.

bought the most expensive washing machine with dryer (£480), 6 months after warranty expired it broke down and gorenje is quoting £160 for repair up to £ 250

I have never experienced such poor customer service as that I received recently from both Gorenje and also their Northern Ireland agent. Rude, offensive and not interested in customer care.

I bought a gorenje fridge/freezer thinking it was a poor man’s Smeg. It was still £800! I was wrong. It’s been awful. Bits falling off. Light bulb continually needing replacing. Light has eventually failed. Freezer needs defrosting every 2 months. Doors won’t shut. I should have guessed when the ‘gorenje’ badge isn’t even on straight. Genuinely poor quality. I should have paid the money and bought a smeg or gone standard (cheaper). The worst kitchen appliance I have ever bought.

4 years ago I kitted my kitchen out with new appliances which included, oven, combantion microwave, hob, warming draw and extractor fan. In the 4 years my oven has been repaired 5 times and now the microwave has stopped working I have been quoted £530.00 to get it repaired.

When spending money on appliances you expect them to last longer then 4 years, the company response is hard cheese we can quote you for new.
I found them to be rude and unhelpful.

I have rarely encountered incompetence on this scale from any company anywhere. Our appliance needed a repair, the procedure was entered into, an engineer was dispatched, arrived, told us the obvious but refitted the part (As we had already done many times). Lo and behold, same problem a week later - made the calls, an engineer was dispatched - arrived after an elongated process with some-one needing to be in within a time slot that couldn't be given till the actual day etc. Some gormless individual arrived - told us what we already knew, then said that he needed to order a part. (Of course we had explained this to the call handler prior to his visit) Gormless went - to be followed by another and another and believe it or not - another. Eventually appliance was replaced but one set of delivery men with the usual faff for appointment, another two individuals arrived to fit the new appliance and couldn't have been less helpful, basically looking for an excuse not to fit the appliance. Rubbish & packaging dumped and left behind for us the customer to dispose of. Currently waiting for the old appliance to be collected. 'Service manager' has been informed - no response from him after more than a week- also gormless!
UPDATE. Third set of individuals supposedly coming this morning to collect old appliance - rang to check on this. 'Time slot' given between 9-11.00am today. You guessed it no-one has been to collect the appliance. AVOID THIS COMPANY AVOID THIS COMPANY
