Supplied and fitted - Nextbase 320XR plus Front and Rear bundle.

On arrival the technician stated that the rear camera could not be fitted to the rear screen. I was advised to purchase a rear headliner camera mount via the internet (Additional cost of £32). The technician said he would hard wire the front and install all cabling for both front and rear however, he would not connect power wires and rear camera wire to the front camera as the system was designed as both front and rear together. The technician stated that when I receive the rear headliner mount I should visit a Halfords store and request that they complete the installation.
On receipt of the new mount I visited my local Halfords store and explained the situation. The Halford store technician, whilst very helpful could not understand why I had been told that the rear camera couldn’t be fitted to the screen. On Inspection of the car he confirmed that the rear camera could indeed be fitted to the screen, it was just a little more fiddley due to the hatchback design. Initially Halfords staff stated that I needed to book the car in for the completion of the work. However, the technician offered to complete the work immediately to save me additional travelling.
After fitting the rear camera the store technician stated that the camera had been connected to the car fuse box but not hard wired as requested i.e. the Nexbase system would stay on even when the car was switched off, possibly draining the car battery. This was NOT what I had asked for, I paid for a hard wired, active camera system, which would become active on starting the car and turn off when switching the car off. He offed to correct the wiring, which required the supply and installation of a hard wire kit and stripping out all the previously wiring. On completion he offered to set up the Nextbase camera system, completing the work I had expected the Halfords home visit technician to have done.

I have had an absolutely terrible and disconcerting experience with Halfords to replace my tires. I paid for four premium Goodyear tires and mobile fitting in early September 2026 and by end October 2026, I'm still waiting for this product/service to be sorted.

Firstly, the mobile fitting was delayed because the driver said they couldn't park outside my home. This was a complete lie. I have a private drive and had space for them to park next to my car or on the road for free. This delayed putting new tires on my car for over 48 hours and disrupted my work and personal plans. No apology or compensation has been provided for this.

Secondly, the tire fitting was incorrectly balanced and caused significant vibrations over 50mph. Over 6 phone calls from me to chase, many email exchanges later and their original failed promises to sort this, I finally for them to book me into a Halfords centre to rebalance the wheels. This took over three weeks to arrange. Since this rebalance, the car still heavily vibrates over 50mph, which is terrible. The fact they don't have the technology or the appreciation of tolerances to identify a balance, alignment, or tire issue is beyond me. My car has always been buttery smooth.

I have been offered no apology, no compensation, just failed promises to resolve the issue. For Halfords looking at this review, please see Case Reference 01524706.

I am now looking at professional and local support to identify the issue Halfords have created and can't resolve themselves.

I would absolutely not recommend using Halfords for their car servicing and tire needs. I sincerly regret using them.

Had 4 new tyres fitted this morning by Ali. Called and arrived ten minutes later and was very good and got them replaced in an hour. Just got on with the Job. He was a good fitter. Would recommend them as had the job done at home.

Tyres were very well priced (set of 4), booking online was easy, and the mobile expert who came out to fit the tyres was prompt, professional, courteous and deeply experienced. The whole process was excellent, which was also a relief given some of the other reviews I read beforehand.

I paid for a battery to be fitted at home and even paid extra for a morning time slot. The "mobile Expert" came on Wednesday and fitted a new battery, then I drove to work and the engine check light came on. The "experts" came back Thursday morning to sort it. After 20 minutes he said it was all done. Drove to work and the engine light came back on. Friday morning another "expert" arrived and 20 minutes later said he had fixed the issue and told me that the problem was the battery wasn't fastened down properly, therefore was moving around. I said I would like to drive the car before he left, I drove about a a foot and the engine light came back on, the "expert" admitted he didn't know what he was doing as he's a tyre fitter!! I found that the first "Expert" had ripped the wires out of the DPF pressure sensor, halfords said i would have to sort the repair out myself and send the invoice to them. The manager Andy at the derby hub was less than useless and would not give me a partial refund for the poor service, I did eventually get £65 refund after speaking with customer service center who were amazing, Andy on the other hand could benefit from some retraining..

Driver was prompt and got the tyres fitting however he used an impact gun on my locking wheel bolts and completely destroyed two of them. Few weeks later I tried to do a simple job on the car and it took me the best parts of a few days to drill them off to install normal wheel bolts. I contacted halfords as a complaint and although they seemed to escalate nothing ever happened in the end.

I see Halfords are still advertising on tv but the good folk the uk see fit to give them a 2.1 overall review . I am impressed to be honest I would have thought a 1 would be more honest . The 2 year guarantee is interesting because when I had a problem the fitter just left with the blessing of his manager telling me to sort the problem myself . Don't use Halfords for your car there are plenty of dedicated companies who do just tyres or just fit radios and don't ask you to sign a disclaimer before they start work . Spend your money wisely and pick a company who specialise in the job you require I can recommend AA for servicing just used them and they were perfect .

What an absolute shambles from start to finish!

I booked an appointment to have four tyres fitted, paid an additional £18 for the fitting service, and even took the evening off work to make sure I was available.

After sitting around all evening waiting, I was eventually told that my appointment had been cancelled and that they had supposedly tried to contact me. That is completely untrue. Nobody had attempted to contact me whatsoever.

To make matters worse, when I called to cancel the order completely and request a full refund, the customer service was just as appalling. I could barely understand a word the person was saying. They were mumbling, the call volume was extremely low, and there were people laughing and messing around loudly in the background. Completely unprofessional!

I’ve wasted an entire evening, lost time off work and been treated with absolutely no consideration.

An absolute disgrace of a service. I certainly won’t be using them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them!

I now have to take a third day off work as the tire fitter fitted 3 matching tires and 1 random tire that doesn't match and i didn't order and I'm now told I have to wait an extra day for someone to come out and rectify the problem because I have to wait for them to get them in stock. Very pissed off to be honest

I have been going through the complaints procedure regarding a battery installation that has fried my dash cluster. To cut a long story short the man in complaints said it could be wear and tear. He said get it fixed and a report on the dash cluster to see if it was indeed damage from the battery installation. I asked for a confirmation email and still 3 days later I am waiting and Ive even sent an email which has not had a reply. I went onto the online chat only to be told the case is closed! I am fuming! If Im not called by tomorrow I will go down the ombudsman route

The initial visit was cancelled and rescheduled by Halfords, when the guy came he took very little time and left my tyres with too little air in them and the caps so loose that one was lost. I filled the tyres with the correct PSI but one lost pressure within two days. Halfords sent out a second technician who discovered that the wheel was corroded and therefore letting air out. The first guy did not say anything about this. I was sent an invoice for the second visit which was discounted to zero. However, I have now found out I have been charged £20 but nobody from Halfords told me this. I had to find out about the extra charge when I went on Klarna. I now cannot get through to anyone at Halfords because the website is blocking me from viewing the contact us pages. Not impressed and would not recommend.

First appointment, fitter completely mullered the locking wheel nut key and tightened or crossed threaded the one so its that tight. Second appointment and second fitter has attended, cannot fit due to the locking nut being that tight. Joke of a service that don't want to any take responsibility for their staffs actions.

COWBOYS. Booked in for a tyre replacement at work. The guy that turned up didn’t want to do the job in our car park because there was a “no parking sign” dosplayed even though I own the car park. I asked him if he can do it on the road, he refused as there was a slight slope, I offered to drive the car few mins to my home so he can replace it on my drive and he rused saying he needed to get to another job. What a waste of time. Avoid these COWBOYS at all costs.

4 tyres fitted quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable price. The fitter was excellent. He provided good advice too. Will definitely use again and recommend. Thank you.

Had two front tyres fitted by Halfords Mobile Expert. During the fitting, a wheel bolt could not be put back in and I was left with the car missing a wheel bolt and had to sort it out myself.

My mechanic subsequently inspected it, temporarily refitted the bolt and advised that the hub will need replacing. He also believes the damage occurred during the Halfords work.

I raised a formal complaint, but after almost two months of being passed around I have now simply been told Halfords won’t cover the repair. Very poor aftercare and I would not use the mobile fitting service again.

To keep a long story short… A technician arrived on Monday to fit two front tyres. After the tyres were fitted, I immediately noticed that the steering wheel was pulling to the left. When I later drove on the dual carriageway and reached around 60MPH… the whole vehicle started shaking.

I contacted Halfords, and they sent another technician to inspect the tyres. He found that one tyre was significantly out of balance and the other was also out of balance. Once this was corrected, the shaking stopped, but the steering wheel was still pulling to the left.

I then tried to contact Halfords numerous times by both email and phone, but unfortunately received no response.

I had been warned not to use Halfords, but I thought, “It’s only changing two tyres… how could they get that wrong?” Unfortunately, I was very wrong.

Very disappointing service and a worrying experience. I certainly won’t be using Halfords again.

Ordered 4 x tyres for home fitting 8am to 8pm ,waited for them all day, did not come or let me know, VERY POOR service

Unprofessional Service. Would never recommend to my worst enemy. Mechanic turned with lack of tools and technical knowledge. The technician rounded off my tyre wheel nut and lied to my face that he did not do it.

The complains team has completely ignored this matter despite promising to resolve this issue. This is extremely behaviour for a company like Halfords.

I would never recommend this Mobile service, you are better off taking it in store or to a real mechanic.

The technician was very helpful and informative. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the tracking app for the appointment is useless so you have no idea when they are going to arrive.

Had screw-in tyre which came out.Had to book at home service because locking nut too tight.Computer ordering system difficult wants you to order at least 2 tyres. With just 1 charges an extra£10 for time booking that also has an extra £7.50 eventually decided to stay in all day Saturday with time ranging from 08:00to 20:00.Received missed calls at 18:40ish and 18:55.message just said “Halfords” at 19:10 looked at job status said “job complete”.Phoned and spoke to VIC .tried to get Warrington Depot to return Next Day but would only book for following Tuesday . The car was on the drive lights on in the house.Claim fitter knocked on door! Did Not RING BELL.Cancelled job won’t deal with them again.Checked CCTV just touched the door once spent less than 45 seconds waiting
