do not buy protect cover from them

do not buy protect cover from them , they just want decline calim , do not want to fix it , this is not same issue , i have called for other issue and declined

For clarity, this repair request has not been declined. A claim was logged following a phone call to advise there was an issue, however we did not receive any of the required supporting documentation to allow us to assess it. Without a diagnostic report and quotation from a VAT registered garage, we are unable to review or authorise any repair.

We are still happy to assess the claim once the necessary information is provided. Please contact us with your plan number and submit the required documents so we can proceed.

I’ve had a great experience with…

I’ve had a great experience with Handler Protect. I originally took out the gold cover on 10/10/2023 for 2 years when I bought my car from the dealer. Before the policy expired, the customer support team contacted me and offered a discounted price to continue the cover for another year, which I decided to go ahead with.

Unfortunately, I later had an issue with the car and needed to make a claim. I contacted the team and provided all the required documents, including the diagnosis/quotation, MOT, and full service history. The process was very smooth and straightforward once the documents were submitted and reviewed under the warranty terms.

Today I received a call from Cian with the good news that my claim had been approved, which was a big relief. Overall, I’m very happy with the service, communication, and support. A smooth and professional experience from start to finish—highly recommended.

Absolutely joke

Absolutely joke! Submitted a claim, then to be asked for additional paperwork, jumping through hoops. Then declined as the car is to old! Why allow a policy to be sold and then not cover it due to the age, for reference this so called GOLD policy was purchased last year.
What an absolute waste of my time and money!

Good communications during appeal

I have received a settlement after a bit of back and forth with handler. My original claim was rejected because of a breached 30 day deadline, which I wasn't made aware of, even after double checking a few details after the 30 days.

I appealed the case and eventually got put in touch with Cian, who to his credit, has been very quick and clear with his communications. He has offered to cover a large portion of my bill as a goodwill.

I wish my case had been dealt with 'normally' instead of having to go through the appeals team, but I'm happy with the outcome in the end.

All repair requests are subject to the plan terms, including the requirement for supporting documentation to be provided within the stated timeframe from when a claim is first logged. Requests for updates or further information do not automatically extend this period unless a formal extension is confirmed. Helpful service - quick results

do not take out a warranty with this company

Avoid this scam of a company and do not waste your money on their warranty. Took out a 2year Gold warranty on a used car a year ago and in January the car would not start in the morning after speaking to Handler Protect they confirmed it covers recovery so had the car recovered to a known garage that does warranty repair work. The garage identified that one of the injectors had failed so I uploaded all information requested, Mot, Service Invoice, Diagnostic machine fault code report, quote for repairs. Handler protect then came back requesting more detailed info on the cause of the failure so had to go back to the garage who then had to add onto the quote a details of why the injector failed. Got email back from Handler Protect stating it had been declined due to it being classed as wear and tear and not a sudden or unforseen breakdown and also due to age and mileage of the car. Firstly the warranty clearly covers injectors, secondly the car would not start therefore cannot get any more sudden than that and unforseen as unless I had a crystal ball could not foresee it happening. Thirdly the company knew the age and mileage of the car when they issued the policy so is clearly mis selling of the policy. As for wear and tear if using Handler Protects logic once past a 3 or 5 year manufacturer warranty on a car ends no component whatsoever would be covered as every part comes under wear and tear. As for injectors they are built to last around a billion cycles and in some cases the life of the vehicle so not in any way a wear and tear item. Now without a car for 3 weeks. Will now be taking it to the Motor Ombudsman and failing that will then take it to the small claims court as I feel so strongly about this, am also talking to the local news about this which they are interested in doing a story about as it is not the first they have heard about this company

Take the money 💴 super fast

Take the money 💴 super fast. No chance of getting any work done from them. Absolute waste of time – load of thieves like all these companies nowadays.
Paid up front thinking I’d get [the service/product/work – whatever it was], but nothing. No delivery, no results, no nothing.
Customer service? Non-existent. They make it as hard as possible for you to claim anything back. Massive list of exemptions that pretty much cover nothing – basically means you’re not covered for anything that actually goes wrong.
Don’t waste your money. Avoid this lot

High Recommend

My main communication was with Cian Roe, the head of repairs. Very helpful and prompt with explaining the whole process and how my warranty works. As soon as my claim was with him there were no delays and my claim was resolved. Highly recommend.
