Would give no stars if I could. Poor customer service has just cost this company the booking

Myself and my partner are looking to book a wedding holiday and honeymoon. We have had quotes for this from Kuoni direct in January, however we didn’t think and were also told no one else in the uk did the resorts we require. We found out that this company did the exact same hotels.

I filled in an online form with what we would of liked and then the next day got a text from Abbie to say she would be in touch. After missing the call I messaged her to call me back. I then received the call and explained everything to the agent, who said she would go away and get a quote over to me today of not tomorrow. On this call I did explain to her that we had been booked up with Kuoni but they had initially booked the wrong year, 2020 instead of 2021 and as the flights are not out nothing is in place, no hotels or flights etc.

I then received an email from Abbie to say that due to having spent most of the day on this looking and the she has found out we have a booking already with Kuoni she wouldn’t be able to. I explained we didn’t have a live booking and that we had went to book but it was the wrong year.

I then got the rudest reply I could of ever imagined:
As there is an active booking in place we are not able to do anything else with your enquiry as it is a duplication of work at a time where the industry is very busy and running on minimum staff.

Now the current situation is a horrible thing, but to use this as an excuse because she couldn’t get the obvious commission from a sale is horrendous service.
There has been no duplication on any work and we simply wanted a quote to see what our options were. Due to such poor service we would never imagine using this company, and no matter what the price we will go elsewhere. Not the sort of service you would think you would get when spending so much money on such an important holiday!

I’m regards to the reply below: if you could see we had a booking why not come and ask us as we are certainly not aware instead of the reply of:
I have been looking into your trip for you for most of the day, so I am really disappointed to learn that you confirmed your holiday direct with Kuoni in January
When I only spoke to you at 1.30 and got an email at 15.40.... surely any normal agent would call and ask the background on this before being so aggressive with the customer!
There has been no crosses wires at all, on the initial call I made it clear that there had been a booking but this was cancelled....
As mentioned above due to the two emails of being disappointed and then taking up time when the industry is very busy why am I now getting emails and calls because I’ve voiced my experience?

Despite the limited resources and significant challenges presented to travel agents during the COVID-19 pandemic, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank Caralyn for all the help with moving my Honeymoon plans. Caralyn, despite being flooded with helping other customers, went above and beyond to put plans in place to allow us to move our Honeymoon to the dates we wanted. Thank you so much for all the help and look forward to finalising our new Honeymoon!

Just booked my honeymoon, it was very easy and simple, staff were very kind and helpful, they gave enough information and removed all confusions/doubts,

We can not rate Honeymoon Dreams enough. Lara was fantastic at creating our dream Honeymoon. She came up with ideas and suggestions that we hadn't even thought of. Lara responded quickly to my emails, explained everything in detail, and took on board my requests and idea of what I wanted from my honeymoon. I could not be happier and more excited!!

We had the most AMAZING time. It really was the hoilday of a lifetime, so special and everything ran like clock work. Cannot thank Abbie enough for putting it all together for us, honestly can't think of a single fault. The hotels were stunning and staff so attentive and kind. It really was perfect. I'm emotional just thinking about it!!

Emily has been our contact at Honeymoon Dreams and she has been excellent throughout the entire process. From first getting in touch we were given a variety of different options to suit our budget and what we were hoping to get from our honeymoon within 24 hours. These were brilliantly tailored to suit the type of honeymoon we were looking for, including a wide range of experiences that we would probably never have considered ourselves. At every stage, it felt like we were speaking to somebody whose first priority was to give us the best experience possible! We were able to get everything booked in less than a week, and for what we have included in our stay I'm confident also that it will prove really good value for money. Any questions we had were responded to promptly by Emily - and always with the answers we were hoping for! First class service and we can't wait to go!

Honeymoon dreams were really good from the first enquiry to booking. Our rep, Abbie was incredible. Speedy replies and very good with tailoring the honeymoon package we were looking for, including nice extras such as the airport lounge and private transfers. Nothing was too much for her, and she came up with a variety of perfect hotels which were exactly what we were after for our honeymoon. I can not recommend highly enough!

Abbie has been absolutely amazing sorting out our Honeymoon. She was massively patient while I kept changing my mind on which resort I wanted to visit and her advice was so helpful. Would highly recommend and they got the best prices for me! Thank you so much!

Very easy process! Tell them where, when and how! Makes the holiday booking a lot easier when you are looking for a honeymoon. Abbie in the honeymoon team was especially great.
