Mattress much firmer than expected
We tried out an extra firm mattress, which was on display in a store and the impression was we only needed to go down to a firm to give us the slightly softer feel. When we got it however, it felt, and still feels much too hard, nothing like what was expected from the display model and is causing us both serious comfort issues. We have tried mattress toppers, but this really hasn't improved matters at all. We went for a Hypnos due to it being a well-known brand, but sadly never again.

My last mattress was a Hypnos orthocare 10 firm which I was quite happy with.
My new mattress the Hypnos Natural Luxury medium firm, is just nice and soft and gives me just the right amount of support and a good night's sleep. I can certainly recommend it.

My old Hypnos mattress lasted over 15…
My old Hypnos mattress lasted over 15 years, living alone, turning from evert angle every 3 months. Got too heavy for me (in my 70s) so bought a double no-turn. Cannot praise it enough, easy to turn top to bottom, so comfortable & rests perfectly on my hideaway base. Highly recommended.

Don’t be fooled by Hypnos trust pilot responses
Hypnos invited me to make contact publicly after leaving a review about a defective mattress and ongoing apauling customer service. Which I did. I sent through all the information to them yet again, then, within a few hours I received an email back where they have just maintained their original position in private. This is particularly relevant for other potential customers to know that their responses on trust pilot makes it appear like they care and want to help but behind the scenes they couldn’t care less. I also mentioned a term of phase that this mattress“could be bent in half” that’s how bad the quality actually is, it cannot be stood up as it literally folds in on itself. But Hypnos have now twisted that stating I have bent the mattress in half and as a result voided any warranty. I really have no words . Don’t waste your money with this company !!!

When we invited you to contact us, it was because we wanted to ensure that all of the available information was reviewed thoroughly. Following receipt of the additional details you provided, we carefully reassessed your case. While we appreciate this was not the outcome you were hoping for, our position remains unchanged based on the evidence available to us.
We would also like to clarify for the benefit of readers that during the claims process it was acknowledged that the mattress had been bent. Whilst some decisions are overturned following a further review where new evidence supports a different conclusion, in this particular instance the additional information provided did not give us grounds to amend our original decision.
We understand that this will be frustrating and disappointing, and we do not take that lightly. Our request for you to contact us was made in good faith and to ensure your concerns were fully considered, not simply to provide a public response. Although we have been unable to reach a different conclusion on this occasion, we appreciate the opportunity to review the matter again and thank you for engaging with us throughout the process

The suggestion that two to four persons are needed to lift it tells you just that.

Our mattresses are intentionally made using high-quality natural materials, which can make them heavier than standard mattresses. For health and safety reasons, we recommend that two to four people assist when lifting or moving them.

Sleeping in a dip
The superking bed is, undoubtedly, very comfortable. But I regret buying the pillow-top mattress. After just four months (with bi-monthly head to toe turning), the fibres in the pillow-top have migrated to the sides. We have a zipped mattress (our only option for superking as we live in a 1600s cottage). This means there’s now a big ridge down the centre of the bed, as well as a ridge on the edges. Despite sleeping in a dip, the bed has improved my sleep.

Elite Luxury Double sagging issues
Purchased the Elite Luxury double mattress in October 2022 from Mattresses Next Day. Despite regular rotation it's developed double sagging either side of the middle leaving a proud centre that runs from headboard to base. Now looking for a replacement. With a 10 year guarantee would have thought it would last longer than 4 years. Couldn't recommend it.

This is certainly not the level of performance you would expect from a premium mattress, especially after only four years of use and with a 10-year guarantee in place. We understand how frustrating it must be to find the comfort and support have deteriorated to the point where replacement is being considered.

A very comfy mattress
Lovely. Comfy bed you can tell the difference in quality of the mattress this wasn’t the mattress we first purchased after having 2 replacements within wks of recently buying we then choose this mattress and what a difference we will definitely buy again for our other beds in family when needed it’s improved our sleep and definitely our aches and pains when waking up definitely recommend

BE WARNED. Lovely matress for the first few years…
Lovely matress for the first few years then it sinks! Can't sleep on it anymore. Reported to Hypnos and they said they won't deal with our complaint we have to go through who we bought it from. We contacted Stokers Southport who sent someone out to have a look. Bloke who came out did a report which said matress can sink up to 5cm, which is wrong, it's 3cm with Hpnos. He said ours had only sank 2cm which is not correct. Rang Hypnos back and they don't want to know. Said it's up to me to sort with who I bought it from. Be warned. Read the reviews on Hypnos beds, it's not only us with problems

This is the second Hypnos bed we have…
This is the second Hypnos bed we have had. Almost exactly the same as the first. Would not have any other bed. Very comfortable and we love the storage drawers. The quality is great.

No support on the sides
Hypnos is not good bought one for our spare bed 3 years ago have just moved and are searching for a new bed so have brought only the spare bed for myself and hubbie to sleep in for a while first time in it and they is no support in the sides so myself and hubbie feel like we are falling out terrible mattress and we paid 700 for a double never buy Hypnos again and it’s nothing like premier inn save yourself money
