I feel happy after talking with Kathrin. She gave me excellent advice.

IU University puts a lot of effort into advertising and reaching as many people as possible. However, when it comes to the administrative side, especially handling document verification, they seem to be overwhelmed. The process of managing submitted proofs is very slow, deadlines are not met, and this creates a lot of uncertainty for students. The emails/whatsapp messages are being ignored.
Please don’t take so many students if you are short of staff.

Just completed my first study coaching session with Leonie, it was awesome! I felt really comfortable and there was no judgement or weird looks when I spoke about the issues I'm facing and looking to solve. We had a friendly and super encouraging session. I can't wait to to do a follow-up session and share my experience with the solutions that came up during the session.

Going into the session I felt a little uncertain about my degree completion, but after, I felt like I wasn't alone and there is a team behind me ready to assist at all times. Super grateful IU has this available to the students and would definitely recommend.❤️

For my 1st time I felt really helped. The discussion made me feel like the future can be better. The professional opinions I got really helped.

Do not enroll or attempt to enroll with this University. I’m saying this to genuinely warn people. I waited over 2 months for them to process my enrollment documents and after 2 months they stated I could not be enrolled. They charged me over 1000€ to simply process an application. They make it seem like the monthly payment basis is the best deal in the world but please watch out for yourself. I don’t recommend this university.

The couch was very friendly and helped me to figure out areas I need to work on and gave me the consultation I was looking for.

I’m currently a student at IU University of Applied Sciences and have been increasingly frustrated with how the university handles grading. Even after sending reminders, I’m still not receiving my grades within the promised 6-week period. This has happened more than once, and I know from speaking with other students that it’s a common issue - not just a one-time slip.

For a university that charges high tuition fees and expects students to meet all deadlines, it’s disappointing that they don’t hold themselves to the same standards. Communication with the examination team is either very slow or completely absent, and it often feels like students are being ignored.

On top of that, there are frequent technical issues with the online platform. Sometimes it’s not even possible to download course materials for days at a time, which obviously affects studying and preparation.

While the course content itself is decent and the platform is convenient when it works, the combination of poor communication, grading delays, and recurring tech problems really takes away from the experience. Until IU improves its support systems and reliability, I can’t recommend the university.

One of the reasons we go to school is to learn and learning for personal growth and development is an overall goal. I felt listened to, well guided and aptly challenged by the support that Jannis gave me. Thank you for this...

Ich bin eine Fernstudentin seit 2023, soweit das MBA‑Programm komplett und kompetent ist. Ich habe lange nach einem Masterabschluss gesucht, mit Human Resources als Lernmodul. Mit dem Bewusstsein, dass es auch Unis in Deutschland gibt, bei denen man für Masterprogramme einen Psychologieabschluss haben muss, um sich für ein HR weiterbilden zu können. Aber bei der IU hat man in dem Fall einen BA in International Business oder in meinem Fall Marketing. Man kann ein Programm mit der IU finden. Ich hatte soeben meine erste Coachingberatung mit Jannis und bin echt zufrieden mit dem Coaching: sehr flexibel und kommunikativ, und er hat ein komplettes Konzept für ein besseres Coaching geben können. Außerdem hat er mir alles erklärt rund um mein Studium und Zeitmanagement, wenn ich mich in meinem Abschluss befinde. Dies ist mein zweites Masterprogramm, für das ich mich entschieden habe, es zu tauschen. Leider hatte ich damals am Anfang des Programmes nur B1 für die deutsche Sprache und ich konnte das Programm nicht auf Deutsch lernen, nur auf Englisch. Aber Module sind komplett aus, so wie Glattig lernen sie.

Nur das Einzelproblem, das ich hatte, ist: Manche Tutoren sind nicht so engagiert, wie sie sein sollten. Bei den Lektoren oder bei den Live-Veranstaltungen scheint es, als ob sie die Nase schon voll hätten und unmotiviert wären. Ich meinte meistens Module mit kräftiger Mathe, dass solche Module wichtiger für alle Alumni sind, die nicht gut in Mathe sind und eine effektive Beratung brauchen, meistens in Prüfungsvorbereitung. Darüber muss man selbst didaktisch sein, wenn man mit Self-Learning arbeitet. Außerdem, dass die monatlichen Gebühren höher sind. Aber im Vergleich zu anderen Privatunis ist es ganz okay.

I decided to opt out of the program as the study was new and was launched and had 0 guidance from teachers. I just had to read and learn countless pages without any other back up. It is impossible to memorize a 500 page books with complete new material and then make a test about it and continue in that manner for the next 3 years.

Altough I was misinformed by their employees that termination was 1 month, it turned out to be 3 months. However, due to holiday season they responded later from their end but then sued me for another month of termination claiming I was unclear. Resulting in 4 month termination.

I paid already way too long for a study that wasn't bringing me anywhere, having a termination date of 4 months make the whole experience even more horrible. I had to put a lawyer on the case and I am still after 6 months trying to come to a resolution.

Long story short: if you like to overpay for 4 months this is probably your institute. I never experienced such a ridiculous situation in my life after I have conducted multiple studies at different institutes world wide. Unfortunately for me, seems that from the start to where we are now I wasted an additional 1000 EUR on the already wasted fees. Never again, won't recommend.

They care about our every need as a student. They are organised and Jannis provides EXCELLENT quality coaching- results showed after I have had time with my IU Coach. Navigating Part-Time studies is challenging with the unknowns of life, but if you dedicated and committed, results will show. Appreciate their constant feedback to actively improve their service and you see/experience the changes being done. Enjoying the experience!

Great insights gained on my mistakes, and constructive advice was given to better my next preparation.

This university is one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. The service is absolutely terrible. Some of the staff who answer the phone are rude and even aggressive. Instead of helping you, they make you feel like you're bothering them.

They often make mistakes in your records or applications, and instead of taking responsibility, they expect you to prove they made the mistake. And even then, they still don’t fix things quickly.

Email communication is just as bad — if they reply at all, it takes ages, and most of the time the answer is unclear or useless.

I’ve lost time, energy, and peace of mind trying to deal with this university. I regret enrolling here and would not recommend it to anyone. If you care about proper support and respect, look elsewhere.

I had the chance to have a session with coach jannis today. I'm overwhelmed with my online studies , he suggested many plans and solutions. For example, we going to start working on managing stress in exam.

I don't think I'd be this clear headed and know what to do with myself regarding my studies without Jannis. He was patient, realistic and practical. He didn't blame me for falling behind or anything. A very kind perosn just wanting the best for students. I'm grateful to Jannis and IU.

I deeply regret my experience with this school. After deciding to cancel my studies, I followed their rules and paid the 3-month cancellation fee as required. However, since then, I have been completely ignored.

I’ve received no confirmation, no proper communication, and no guidance on how to officially finalize my cancellation. It feels like they are intentionally avoiding me in order to demand more money. At this point, I feel scammed — as if I’m not allowed to leave the school, and they only care about getting more payments from me, not about the students or proper procedures.

This has been an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

The study coach meeting is always an excellent opportunity for students to ask questions and challenges and to request a consultative view of how their studies are going. In my case, the meetings have always been very useful and have answered many questions.
