Reading several reviews, I see that several people had bad experiences with fraudulent charges. I checked three times to be sure what my charges would be. I even said I don’t want any surprises. To make a long story short, I ended up with a bill for an extra 200.00. Stay away

​This facility participates in the VA Community Care Network (CCN), yet forces referred veterans to sign financial liability or balance-billing waivers during intake.
​Let's be clear: this practice attempts to bypass federal law. Under 38 U.S.C. § 1703 and 38 CFR § 17.1008, participating network providers are strictly prohibited from balance-billing veterans or shifting financial risk onto patients for authorized care. Payment by the government extinguishes all liability on the part of the veteran.

​Shoving financial liability forms across the desk at intake is a predatory tactic designed to exploit patients who are already in need of care. Local medical offices pocketing federal VA referral volume while simultaneously trying to wiggle out of federal "hold harmless" mandates are acting in bad faith. Honor the federal contracts you signed, drop the unlawful liability waivers, and stop shaking down veterans.

Beware!! They assured me twice that they were in network and would provide me with a tier 1 provider. Then billed my insurance out of network . I called to clear it up was told they see the notes that I did call and I would not be charged. Then supposedly sent emails to my son that he never received and sent a letter threatening to turn it over to collections. The billing department told me they saw notes showing my due diligence and resubmitted. Then said no you still owe. Do not go there unless you are ready to pay out of pocket for services they bill.

This place is a PATIENT MILL.
I've had PT before and this is the first time they wanted to book all 4weeks of my appointments when I scheduled my first visit. In my previous experience my next appointment was booked at the end of the session; maybe I wouldn't need 4 weeks of appointments. They were in-network and close to home so I went. Turns out the appointments that were booked were not always with the same person - which I NEVER EXPERIENCED. The kicker is at my last scheduled appointment the person I saw was someone I had never seen before and we were evealuating if I needed more appointments, so this person was relying completely on my answers; he had no insight of my current condition whatsoever.
The facility is crowded and there isn't any privacy. They did nothing for my pain, their focus was strengthening my muscles. They have theme weeks - like I care when all I want is pain relief. This was unlike any other Physical Therapy facility I have ever been to. I should have trusted my gut and gone somewhere else.
Interesting how after I finished those 4 weeks I told a few coworkers why I didn't like Ivy Rehab, one said they didn't like it either and stopped going there after their knee replacement surgery and the other who is a PT professional said he had heard comments like mine.
I found another independent PT place that does not accept insurance. They did "dry-needling" to relieve my pain. Why didn't Ivy Rehab start with that in the first place? Oh, and the cost at this place was LESS THAN MY INSURANCE CO-PAY at Ivy Rehab. Boy are they making money hand over fist...cash from the insurance company and me.

After a back injury, my doctor recommended that I take physical therapy to remediate the pain. I reached out to IVY Rehab physical therapy in Shelby, NC and asked them if they are in the network with united health and confirmed that they are. On my first session, I asked the receptionist Heather if they are in the network and she confirmed they are. I started my sessions with no issues, but I was surprised that a 35-dollar co-pay is required and started paying the co-pay until I called my united health representative and he stated that that business IS NOT in the network, and then I realized that's why I charged co-pay. On 4/10/26 I had a physical therapy session at 8am EST. during this session it was a new therapist different than the previous session. He proceeded by massaging my back (Middle back) however, he was pressing so hard that I asked him to please not to press hard, however, he kept doing it. Then after excruciating pain, he left without saying anything and another therapist came and continue the session. Basically, when I was done, I left with more pain than when I started. I called their office and complained and asked them not to charge my provider and waive the co-pay due to the issue I had with the therapist, but they refused and ask me to call united health. I called my provider and they stated they cannot help me due to the business being out of network. It was the worst experience I had.
