Johncowanbaskets Reviews

Beautiful basket, superbly made and delivered quickly. Love it

I have bought many baskets of various styles from John, they are all beautifully made and even better to use. They get better with age and use too. Forget your bag for life and get a basket and use it proudly.
Many thanks
Brian.

I've just bought my fourth basket from John Cowan. They are all beautiful - not only to look at, with lovely shapes and subtle colours - but they're also beautiful to use: strong and sturdy, perfectly designed for their various purposes, and meticulously made. It's a delight to use them.

I love my washing and shopping baskets! I would have had one of everything if I could!! Thank you

Amazing basket, amazing service, amazing quality, amazing price 🙏

What a great find! The round log basket that I ordered was of excellent quality and very well made. I am now looking forward to receiving my second order. John was very accommodating in agreeing to customised the size of my second basket. He is so efficient in sending the goods once he has finished them. I truly recommend Cowan Baskets

Nicely made basket, perfect for collecting the wet washing. Cleverly designed to go under the washing machine door, and also very light, yet holds a large load. I bought this after reading another review, and am very happy with it. It's perfect, and I had been looking for a long time for something that would work for laundry, and be practical, and not made of plastic. A skilled maker of baskets, and also very friendly and helpful. A pleasure to purchase from.

I bought a beautiful, solid gardening basket. A real joy to own and to use.

Fast friendly response to my emails. Ordered late Sunday, beautiful basket arrived Tuesday, exactly as pictured. A pleasure to do business with, which will add to the enjoyment of using the basket.

I ordered 2 baskets from John Cowan - the foragers basket is especially beautiful and I look foward to using them for years..

The pillow I ordered is absolutely perfect! It's exactly what I wanted, and the quality is exceptional.

Lovely well made basket. Worth waiting for. Looking forward to lots of use.

Beautiful basket. Swift delivery. Exactly what I wanted.

I was delighted with my shopping basket. So beautifully made and is giving me fond memories of my cooking lessons at school. A very long time ago. A real treasure, and my next purchase will probably be the mushroom basket!!

Beautiful, traditional, handwoven baskets, made in Scotland. Easy to purchase, promptly dispatched. They are a delight to have in the home, useful, and the kind of things to hand down as heirlooms.

I recently discovered this store's collection of baskets, and I must say, they have a remarkable variety to choose from. Whether it's for storage, organization, or simply adding a touch of style to a space, their baskets fit the bill perfectly. The quality of the baskets is exceptional, with sturdy construction and attention to detail.

I love baskets and have a collection of baskets, some old, some new, from all over the world. I’m thrilled to find a local basket maker working in traditional style. My new washing basket arrived in a few days, and it is light, spacious and very well made. Thank you - it will be used a lot.

Absolutely love my new laundry basket! Thank you for making such great quality handmade baskets.

Great product, sustainable and locally sourced. I wanted to buy a basket from somewhere with fair labour practices. I was delighted to support John and really appreciated his note. The basket was also beautiful!
